This one is a hard one to rate. The facility is nice, I did a rafting trip with my son and we camped overnight. I requested a riverside site so my son could fish. Which I got, however they neglected to tell me that the river was down a cliff from the camp site. Ok, whatever. The rafting itself was good, no equipment issues other than a broken paddle but that what happens when you let your 14 year old grab the gear. My real issue is the lack of oversight at the campground. After doing the 5mile route we returned to find a very large group was having a celebration on the next few sites. Their tents starting about 40 yards from my camper. I had no problem with their music or revelry, I love a good time. What I don't love is when the music and extremely loud parting doesn't end. I put my family to bed around 11 with earplugs in. I was woken up at 1am and then again at 4am where I a solo woman went over and asked them to keep it down. They did not. And the staff which was on site did nothing to stop it. So maybe you will go and you won't have disrespectful neighbors and staff that doesn't care, but I will not be back.

Floated the river with a group of 6 for the weekend of the Fourth of July — no need to make a reservation ahead of time. Be sure to ask for a cooler tube if you plan to have a cooler w / drinks. Also recommend asking the boys by the water for a few oars— helpful to keep the tubes moving. Also bro bc a long rope if you want to tie up to each other!! Recommend lots of sun screen! The journey from skinner falls to narrowsburg took us a little over 4 hours (we had the oars to help us move)!

The six of us had a lovely, slow raft trip down the Delaware River. We chose the 5-mile trip and it took us a bit under 2 hours with minimal paddling. Our raft was clean and stable and we got adequate (though not particularly enthusiastic) help at the start and the end. We didn't get any instruction on *how* to raft which was fine for us though maybe not for others. The river is beautiful and we saw eagles, hawks, vultures, egrets, geese, cormorants, and a few kinds of ducks. If we were to go by canoe or kayak we'd want to take the longer (10-mile) trip since even with a bit of paddling the river goes fast.

My daughter and I rented 2 Kayaks for a couple of hours from them. They were efficient and helpful. I thought it was a good price.

Well deserving of 5 stars. The staff, the scenery on the river and the social atmosphere at night under the stars make this spot a gem. Have camped here for 33 consecutive years with a very patent and helpful staff. You can rough it as little or as much as you'd like at this campground. There are several campgrounds within the Landers River Trips depending on what you are looking for. Couple this with rafting down the scenic upper Delaware, it's no wonder many people come back year after year. Cant imagine a summer without a trip to Landers River Trips Narrowsburg Campsite

The river was beautiful and the staff was friendly but beyond that I cannot recommend Lander’s - especially since they have many competitors along the Delaware. Our raft deflated in the middle of our trip due to a faulty valve, which we had to manually plug and rush back to the pickup location to get off the sinking raft. At the pickup location, the staff there was mildly apologetic and and ushered us onto a bus with at least 5 different parties. The bus driver waited until the vehicle was full to get back to the starting location. We thought rafting could be a good socially distant activity, but it seems like management wasn’t taking the situation seriously. The driver wasn’t wearing a mask and there seemed to be no guidelines in place. Some of the employees at the departure location also weren’t, but it was mostly outdoors and we passed it off thinking we’d be on our way. It’s time to adapt and do better.

Trust the multiple reviews that say they are poorly managed, because when things go wrong they don’t seem to care at all. Our tube completely DEFLATED about 30 minutes into our 4+ hour ride and they were so unhelpful. It had seemed a little less firm from the beginning when handed to us, but didn’t expect they gave us a faulty tube without checking. We asked them to send help to come give us a new tube when we were stranded, but no one came. After waiting at the river’s edge for over 20 minutes, I called them back. They said they couldn’t see us (we were right past the beginning rapids and looking upstream for staff the whole time???), so they just left us. NOBODY bothered to let us know they wouldn’t be coming? So crazy how little they care for people’s experience and safety.

Horrible experience. There’s absolutely zero help or signs of what to do or where to go. No supervision and no one to help us. We got lost because the guy never told us where we were meant to get off and we were walking up the river against the current for over 2 hours trying to figure out what to do or where to go. We were gone passed the curfew and the owners knew but never came to look for us or see if we’re ok. Definitely wouldn’t recommend to anyone we seriously could’ve died no exaggeration.

Great experience. Went rafting with friends. Almost zero rapids but that's just the way it goes. We just showed up then paid signed waivers and hopped on a shuttle. Everything was smooth and easy .

We LOVE Lander's River Trips! Our friends talk about this trip pretty much year round, telling stories from the past year, but also re-living and retelling so many great stories from years past. This year was our 44th Annual Canoe Trip at Skinners Falls! We are treated like royalty EVERY year by the great crew in the office, with Karen making our reservations and holding our same spaces every year! The crew at Skinners, led by Gale, ALWAYS go above and beyond to keep us smiling all weekend long. We'll keep coming until we can't get into the canoes anymore.....and then we might just keep on coming anyway! My 4 kids (grown-ups now) always follow up our weekend, with their own trip and just celebrated their 16th Annual the last weekend of July! Nothing but fun, all weekend long from the oldies... to the kiddies!Lisa and Rick Lander do an incredible job making sure everything is ready for us every year. THANK YOU...for so many great memories!

Landers offers individual personal service. One of us left a jacket where we started and it was waiting at the end of our trip. Landers are local people that know the river and the area. We've done Kittatinny. Same river- but all business and you are just a number. Our trip with Landers was one of those experiences where everything was perfect and an amazing memory to cherish.Landers River Trips - same river , Superior service.

Very good service provided by our hosts. We went to office without a reservation and were able to book a trip for the same day. Had a relaxing trip down river. Would definitely recommend the company.

Major degradation and exploitation of natural landmarks for personal gain. Landers have no interest in the betterment or sustainability of the environment where their campgrounds are placed. These campgrounds are not managed in a way that promotes a healthy outdoor experience. These are woods parties disguised as camping experiences. If you are interested in conservation of the environment, I would not recommend furthering this business model with your hard earned money.

DO NOT BOOK HERE! the only reason it got one star is because after we finally figured out where we were supposed to go, the very brief rapids part of the tubing was fun. We had a large group and encountered VERY rude staff. It was also very confusing on where we needed to go and how to get off the river. The skinner's falls tubing was $12 and lasted about 10 minutes. absolutely not worth the money at all. We were really frustrated with how unprofessional the staff was, and how poorly explained the actual tubing trip was. save your money and go to Lou's Tubes which is right next to this place.

We stayed at the Skinners Falls and it was great for family during the day to go tubing. But once night fall, the staff did not enforce guests to abide by quiet hours at 11pm. Multiple campers had 3 ft speakers blasting that I had to ask them to quiet down and they did not care and continue partying. My children had trouble sleeping with the loud noise and it was not a relaxing trip into the woods as I hoped.

I've canoed and camped at Lander's since the early 1970's, first in the Boy Scouts at TMR, then on high school outings from NYC and since 1977, on almost 37 annual trips with high school friends to Landers, our preference. I don't camp in the rain so I've gone about 30 the 37 times and I'm the longest lived too, from the very first trip to June of 2014, but it was my last with that group, but I will be back. The bottom line: Don't go anywhere on a holiday weekend and expect a cozy, intimate experience with nature! Going just north of NYC on Memorial Day weekend will never be recommended in any tour guide! However, if you want that party, you'll get a huge one, the entire area undoubtedly inundated with tens of thousands of people being just a few hours north of the major escape from the city. There's a time for all things and their parties are some of the best ever. The more crowded it gets, the more variety you'll experience! Landers is just down the road from Woodstock and the spirit lives on.Don't bash a great venue on the misdeeds of a few that over run a facility and promote bad feelings. I have been on those trips and stopped after a dozen years to enjoy the weekend in a new way, even on a different weekend. What weekend did you go anyway, and what campsite was it, those facts matter, and it's a universal concept that applies to all places on holidays. We go a few weeks after Memorial DWE and always have a great time, finding nice, friendly people at every campsite that is occupied, clean and inviting facilities and an attentive staff. I was not asked to write this. They may figure out who I am though, I'm there almost every year for the last four decades, but we don't know anything about each other apart from my appearing at the campground on the annual trip.Lander's is great simple camping, with many campgrounds to choose from. It is not a plastic, programmed facility, it's closer to nature and we like that. Landers provides a clean site, hot showers, running cold water at the tent and lean-to's, a PX / general camping store, coffee, drinks and prepared food inside on their grill. They have canoes and tubes, perhaps rafts too but we’ve never taken one down the river. Some campsites have more. Over the years I've seen a shelter in case of bad weather, electricity at some tent sites and perhaps other amenities in several of the campgrounds, but I do not go for that. Landers provides me with an experience pure and simple enough, with some modern comforts, but when night hits, I'm in the middle of nature with very little distraction, and loving it!

We called over the phone and got this address- 40 Skinners Falls W Rd, Narrowsburg, NY 12764 (Skinners Falls Camp Ground). Overall we had a terrible experience. First of all no lifeguard support available, the instructions are NOT clearly given about the rapids. We did a shot tubing (15 mins) with kids, it was smooth and not deep when starting, but it was getting deeper in some places and has few very risky rapids, not safe for kids and especially who doesn't know the swimming. The landing and return paths are not clear, no marks found anywhere. It's comparatively cheeper price but it's more like you are your own. If you fall down, no one will help you. Risky place if you are not expert on water activities.

Landers had beautiful outdoor scenery but some work to do in the customer service department.I made a tubing reservation earlier this week over the phone. I arrive at Skinner's Falls and am told that my reservation doesn't exist. These things happen, so I ask to make a new one and say I'll call later if i realize I am overcharged. I ask for a receipt at the end of the transaction, and the employee said "oh I hit no on the machine so you can't get one, sorry." I wish she asked me if I wanted one before doing that! Later on I realized that if I wasn't charged earlier this week I gave my credit card information to someone who probably wrote it down and left it somewhere to be forgotten...that does concern me a bit. What really bothered me was the lack of direction given by employees once tubing/rafting. There is no safety instruction about how to put on a life vest, use the rafting devices...nothing! I was really shocked. I also overheard the staff complaining about another co-worker really loudly and using foul language. The staff @ Skinner's Falls really seemed like they didn't want to be there.I may come back - the tubing was lovely! - but hope their staff start to respect each other and their work beforehand!

Amazing! Our family summer memories are complete when we make our annual Lander River trip. The staff was helpful, courteous and organized. After over 30 years of floating on the Delaware, we are so thankful (especially in these uncertain times) that Lander's continues to exceed our expectations.

If you're looking for a camping/outdoors experience that's not too isolated this would be for you. There is a store at each of the 3 campgrounds, rafting/kayaking and other activities you can do as well as public bathrooms/showers (COLD). In addition, there's a plaza really close (3-4 min drive) w/ food options, grocery store, bait/tackle shop and more. Only reason I would give it a 3/5 (not entirely the campgrounds fault) is that the experience may be ruined by other campers... In our case the first night we got little sleep because the campsite across from us were extremely loud and second night some drunk campers decided to light fireworks extremely close to our tent. Overall, still a good time though.

The river is kind of slow, so it is perfect for families. You get you own raft and you're free to go at your own speed. The water is very clean and there's many places to swim. The company takes care of everything for you and the people are very nice and helpful.

In comparison to state parks, it is very pricey. The location puts you in the middle of an open field with other campers stacked up against you. During my stay in July, not a holiday weekend, there was an outrageous amount of fireworks shooting in every direction . Several of the restroom facilities were out of order. That said, the limited staff was friendly. If you're looking for a place to get no sleep, no privacy and party this would be it.

Great staff, very friendly and super helpful. Got the meet the owner, also a great guy which makes me feel great about supporting this local business. One improvement needed, cleaning of the gear and kayaks, the 2 we rented were so dirty. Other than that, perfect all around.

this place was horrible starting from the main office young girl and older lady were not helpful at all .always with an attitude and giving you hard time. first night I asked for the phone since my group got lost and we didn't have phone service. they told me to hurry up because I was in the phone too long. bathroom were disgusting. it looks like they had never put bleach or any kind of disinfecting Solution on it. and last day they went to our campsite to wake us up at 7 am . these people had no manners at all. the only good thing about this campground was the beautiful river. other than that I would not recomend this campground.

We stayed for two nights at the Narrowsburg campground and our experience there was quite bad. Our site was supposed to have a view to the water, which wasn't exactly the case. But that wasn't the worse. Sites are laid out in a big meadow closely next to each other with no privacy at all. Imagine being in a trailer park without the trailers. Crowd was loud and obsessed with experimental fireworks. Sleeping there felt like spending a night in Faluja. The staff is oblivious and unwelcoming. After experiencing the bathrooms, we dared not explore the showers. If you're looking for a quiet, private, clean, and nice camping experience, do not go there.

Terrible terrible customer service! I made a reservation by mistake not realizing how far the location is from us. I called 40 mins later to cancel and they told me they will charge me a $80 cancellation fee. When I protested, they kept on arguing with me that they informed me about this policy about cancellation fee when I called to make a reservation but that is simply not true.Even if it was true, charging someone a cancellation fee when they made a reservation by mistake and called back within the hour after realizing the mistake is a predatory business practice and a great way to make some extra money without providing any services.UPDATE: After reading the review, the owner got in touch with me and resolved the issue. I appreciate the quick response and updated the review accordingly.

Rafts seem to stay afloat. The occasional family stranded on a landers raft (whose fault? Beats me). Convenient pick ups at the end.Could definitely use a refresh in branding and do away with the incredibly rude old lady in the main office. Genuinely feel sorry for the 3rd party organic raw bar that shares the space with her as she seems to really care for her work. At a certain age you just need to stay home if you can’t do it anymore. The staff also doesn’t seem all to enthused with their work. Better attitudes with dec on the public side if you can believe that.Keep up the good work Crystals organic bar.

Same experience as a previous post. Spent Labor Day weekend listening to non stop Latin music blasting with professional DJ type sound equipment. Music shut off around 4 AM each morning. Right after the final illegal fireworks show of the night. The day time staff was very nice but the overnight employees are just not equipped to handle the late night scene. Then again, what seemed to be State Troopers were on site as the fireworks went off but did nothing also. Oh and the train tracks that lay about 15 feet outside the campgrounds are active as we watched and listened to a train go by Saturday morning at 1 AM. That was actually funny to us though, like a scene out of my cousin Vinnie. So in summary, very nice rafting business but unless you want to set up a tent in downtown Little Havana don't spend the night.

Landers River Trips has been an annual highlight for my family and friends for 40 years! It is a family run operation and that personal touch shows in all they do. The staff at the desk is great at booking and managing group camping, canoeing, rafting and kayaking. They provide buses for drop offs and pickups plus plenty of spots on the river to drop in or take out your gang. Keeps the schedule nice and flexible. We stay at the Narrowsburg site because they have plenty of different camping spots on the river, set back in the woods or in the open field, which we like. Some of our gang have outgrown camping and use AirBnB to book houses right in town so that works too. For the people griping on these posts about noisy nights, talk to the staff when booking. They can direct you to the best camping location for a quieter setting or weekends to avoid because of large gatherings. If you avoid the summer months, it is real peaceful. Special thanks to Rick and Lisa Lander for making our 40th trip extra special!

Our family loved our raft trip down the Delaware with Lander's River Trips. It was a quiet float, we paddled at our own speed without anyone rushing us. We even saw two bald eagles! I definitely recommend rafting with Lander's.
