We are so very grateful for Eastport Animal Hospital, Dr. Kristen Hultberg, and her team. They are absolutely amazing and true professionals.We have a two year old Cane Corso, Enzo, who is 140lbs and nervous when going to the vet. We have been to two vets previously and they seemed to be apprehensive to work with Enzo because he is so large. They were not very patient and didn't care to explain anything to us e.g. need for various vaccines and medicine. They would give him vaccines without asking about our lifestyle. They prescribed him medicine without explanation or discussion of risks. We just trusted them. As a result Enzo didn't have a good reaction to a tick and flea preventative, it made him sick and when we brought it up they dismissed and belittled our concerns. Another vet even told us Enzo would eventually become aggressive because he is not fixed (even though Enzo has never had any instance of aggression and that vet made that conclusion upon meeting him once). We started to feel like we couldn't trust vets and we felt disheartened. We thought maybe we would not be able to take Enzo to the vet for preventative care ever.But then we gave it one more chance and decided to call Eastport Animal Hospital, and we are absolutely blown away by the care, patience, positivity, and professionalism they showed us. Everyone was so kind to us and Dr. Hultberg explained treatment options, gave us advice, and she didn't rush things with Enzo.We could see the main goal was to keep the experience positive for Enzo, which no other vet ever cared about.Enzo was too nervous to go inside for his appointment, so Dr. Hultberg and her team worked with Enzo in the parking lot. They were able to give him vaccines and do blood work. It was so positive for Enzo and he loves them all. I was emotional from the kindness and patience they showed us, which in our experience is so rare.We are so amazed and grateful. I never expected such exceptional care. They treated Enzo with such love. I'm just so happy we found a doctor and team that cares. And we finally have peace of mind that Enzo will have the preventative care that he needs to have a long and happy life. Thank you so very much from our family and Enzo.

Always a Terrific place for pet care.Been going here for years now.You can leave a card on file pick up medication while on the run ..very helpful.Staff is helpful, it is a very place so staff does what it can to answer calls in timely fashion.

I've been taking my pets here for many years. Dr. Duffy and Dr. Howard have always gone above and beyond for me and the rest of the staff are wonderful. I highly recommend them.

Just had to put down my dog of 6 years with them. Over 6 years, they helped me become a better dog owner. They got me through when he decided to eat the couch. They made sure he lived his healthiest life. And when he came down with hereditary hemangiosarcoma, they didnt worry about me not having money until pay day, they worried about my dog and mine wellbeing. They made sure my dog was well looked after. They didn't try to finagle bs tests and try to nickle and dime. When I'm ready to adopt another dog, I have no doubt where I'm going. Thank you for making caring for my dog so easy Dr. Howard, Dr. Duffy and company.

dr Johnson and the techs are great. dr Johnson is honest, knowledgeable, and we have never been rushed . we have brought at least 6 different dogs to him through the years and he has been excellent. he has helped us bring a few of our dogs over the rainbow bridge with compassion, dignity and a true sense of caring.

Since 2006 I have brought my dogs to you for their care. Throughout the years we have been very happy with the care received from all the vets on staff. On Saturday however,  I was very disappointed with how the receptionist handled my call. My older dog was bitten on the eye by a mystery bug and his eye blew up like a balloon. He is a 10 year old large breed with Lyme disease and therefore I was very concerned about him.She said they were "booked up" and unable to see him. I offered to come to the office and wait for a gap between patients. She absolutely refused.I ended up going to an emergency vet with my dog and paying an exorbitant amount of money to a vet both my dog and I didn't know. Being a long time client of Eastport Animal Hospital; they should have accommodated my dog. I realized that booking can be an issue, however provisions should be made for urgent cases.

We hadn't brought our pets there before but when our cat was dying and our regular, (now former) vet dropped the ball, we called them last minute to put our cat to rest, they made time in their busy schedule to get us immediately. They were so compassionate and kind. It made a heart breaking time a little bit easier.

They take the best care of my baby here. She’s a 14 year old deaf rescue pit with LOTS of medical issues including arthritis and now, cancer. They are clean and friendly and aren’t a money grabbing office. They won’t talk you into more expensive unnecessary things. The doctors are all knowledgeable and very professional. They make the bad times as pleasant as they can.

I have been bringing my pets to Eastport Animal Hospital since they opened thier doors. Dr.Duffy is one of the best Vets and I have known for years. I actually met him when he worked for another office. I have brought all my family dogs for his professional guidance from Puppies to end of life care. He understands that connection we have with our pets and he does not exploit that emotion for profit unlike the story's I hear from so many people. He honest and caring. His military service is something I honor and respect. I recommend Eastport Animal Hospital for all your vet needs.

took amazing care of my dog before she passed away. she went with a smile on her face every time so excited to be there. on her last day she was happier than ever to be there. they do the same with my cat and other two puppies now! warm welcoming and always a good visit

I brought my Pup because he got sick, they were super attentive! They walked me through everything and prescribed some medicine I asked questions and they answered them thoroughly. The Staff were very friendly and professional! I highly recommend this place to anyone who has a pet! As they are an essential part of your family. Also! They didn't charge me a lot which was awesome as well. Any pet I have I will always be coming here! Highly recommend this Vet! And also my Pup is doing a lot better because of it! We love Eastport Animal Hospital. I bring my 3 dachshunds there and they aren't the easiest group of dogs to deal with. Every single Doctor and tech there is amazing and deal with each of my dogs wonderfully. And the front desk is always graceful when they have to deal with a crazy dog mom like me. Everyone there is great. Would recommend them to anyone!

Sweet friendly animal lovers make up the staff, Dr's are caring and terrific. Dr. Howard is one of the nicest people I've ever known, my 12 year-old Mia wouldn't go anywhere else, she pulls me inside by her leash each time we visit.. Go there. You'll be happy and so will your pet. I'd give this Vet 10 stars if I could!!

So they took care of my cat who is difficult. But to get an appt. With them is a nightmare. They used to be so great with that. The female doc was nice but dr. Duffy was amazing. The experience is not the same when you go there. 😕 it's changed! I miss dr Duffy more willing to work with you, not just about the money. They need docs like him and they need to make it easier to get an appt. Oh and why can't 3 people go inside at a time in the 3 rooms they have? Where a mask. This way you can be with your pet and speak with the doc. Don't know if I will stay with them unless they change things. I am not the only one that feels this way.

My first visit to Eastport Animal Hospital after moving from Nassau County to Moriches in Suffolk County was exceptional. My dog was suffering from severe flareup of Arthritis and they were highly recommended by my daughter. The staff was very efficient and friendly. They treated my dog and I as though we had been coming to them for years. It was a very comfortable feeling to be treated in that manner. I too would highly recommend them.

Great veterinarian. This office is not close to my house but I have been to other veterinarians and dr duffy is well worth the drive. Very competent and compassionate. He is very good at diagnosing. He is also realistic and will not suggest tests or procedures that may not change the plan or care on pet, making your bill reasonable. As an RN I know good doctors are not always easy to find and I will stick with dr duffy.

My fiance and I don't have enough good things to say about Dr. Duffy and the rest of the staff at Eastport Animal Hospital... I met Dr Duffy 10 years ago when we found out my kitty had a tumor on her heart, he was so empathetic and compassionate when he told us Rasha's diagnosis and didn't pressure us into anything..fast forward to last Christmas when I brought my husky pup home ....I knew there was no other person I wanted caring for my new fur baby. The entire staff at Eastport Animal Hospital is amazing, kind compassionate, caring and down to earth!. prices are very very reasonable and I have never felt like they are taking advantage of me because they know they can (not something you can say about everyone) bottom line, if you need someone to take care of your babies please go see Dr Duffy! We will never go anywhere else!

I have been going to this vet for well over 8 years , I called and made an appt to have my 2 dogs vaccinated for boarding . I called over a month ago to board them and was told they didn’t have any opening for the dates that I needed. When I made the appt for vaccination the girl out in the wrong date for the 28th instead of the 14th. When I showed up for my appt today I was told that the earliest appt was the 28th and there was nothing they could do . That is completely ridiculous that you can’t get a simple appt and It’s 2 weeks out . What would they have done if my dog was sick ? I was forced to take my pet care to another vet who is able to care for them the way they should be cared for . I am extremely disappointed in the service and lack of availability . And the fact that I am forced to take my babies to another vet when this office is the only vet they have ever known . The claim was that they are down a Dr. if you are unable to run a vet office and unable to care for our fur babies then maybe it’s time to close the doors .
