I shop at this store weekly. They carry some items that you can't find at other stores like lard and salt pork. They accept food stamps. They have quality beef and pork at reasonable prices. They deliver locally.

More expensive because of it's location. The staff is rarely pleasant. But they have a large cold drinks walk in fridge and if theres an issue they do help fix it.

Some staff are courteous and some are downright grouchy. Decent store for a small town, though, with a few choices of just about all the basics. Sometimes you can find surprisingly good deals on items! I tend to avoid buying fresh meat there.

Absolutely love modern market. I grew up in this town. They are a great small town grocery store. Prices are a little above average but it’s mostly good quality. The owners are wonderful people.

We've been shopping at modern market a little more than 40 years starting back when the business occupied the space that is now dollar general. Its always a pleasant experience for us to shop at Modern Market.

Prices are ok, its a small town store so it's to be expected. They get thier meat from a local butcher so meat quality is great. Giant beer cave with huge variety. They cash payroll checks. Only thing that's unsatisfactory is the cashiers. They are young(not a problem) but always on thier phone or talking with thier back to customers. Otherwise love the place.

I like this store a lot they are an oasis in a food desert in Cayuga County. I like the way the staff looks out for each other. You don't need a loyalty card or any of that Wegmans/Tops/PC nonsense. The store is clean and well-lit and has a great beer cooler. True the prices can be high here but consider the location and if you peruse the aisles you will find bargains. THE BEST MEAT for miles around, friendly helpful butchers.

Great small town grocery store with the best meat market around. They have a full time butcher who grinds the meat making there own sausages, hamburgers, ham loaf, and about anything you could need or want. Fresh baked goods and sweets as well.

Modern Market has all the name brand food and off-brand foods but they're just a little pricey like a box of donuts is $12 for 12 donuts Enterprise they're not Little Debbie either the off-brand ones Hurley's or whatever they are I think that they should be a little cheaper since not name brand

The Modern Market is a wonderful community grocery store. And I think the meat selections rival the mega grocery stores because they are much more tender and carefully cut. Fruits and vegetables are always fresh with a nice variety not usually found in a smaller grocery. A great asset for the Moravia community that is lacking in so many smaller communities. Thank you Modern Market.

Ran in just to grab a couple of coffees while driving through town and was pleased with the service and the coffee. Parking was a little scarce on a Saturday afternoon but we found a spot around back. Looks like a handy place to have in a little town.

my husband and i were traveling through, when we stopped to get a couple of sub sandwiches. The cashier told me that the only subs were in the refrigerator case. I picked out roast beef subs. they looked good, but as we were eating them the buns were awful. tasted like they weren't completely cooked through, very doughy. I'll never buy subs there again

I love shopping here. We have a place on owasco lake so I stop at the modern market and I pick up everything I want for out weekend at the lake. Some things are a little more expensive then me shopping at Weis or at Price chopper but it's okay cuz it's in a very convenient location. While I'm at our lake / cottage I can just stop and pick up whatever I want while I'm out there I don't have to try and pre-pack before I go. Parking lot is large enough to park my truck store is usually clean cashiers usually nice. The only bad things is is that there are smaller store and they're kind of limited and that there not open 24 hours.

I always enjoy visiting the Modern Market...they almost always have what I want, they're friendly and courteous and I just enjoy walking in the store. MM has cake mix.They bent over backwards, going so far as to supply loudly complaining men with cardboard boxes to carry their groceries with after the plastic bag ban went into effect.+5 stars for no plastic bags by the March deadline!+5 stars for gracefully handling the owner of an unoccupied, idling F150 who wanted bags anyway!
