This place has a nice amount of soft served flavors, even though we usually just get the vanilla. Today we tried the banana Oreo ice cream and had our regular soft serve.

Always been a fan since I lived in Monticello and went there for the 1st time in 2013 (when they opened, I believe). Now, 9 yrs later n visiting from the Bronx, I still enjoy their ice-cream. Wonderful flavors n taste. Just WOW!!

This was my 1st time going to J S soft serve. And wow. The ice cream cones were huge and very good. And the price was reasonable. I will definitely start going there when they open up in March.

I've gotten ice cream there many times through the years. The employees are very nice. They have many great flavors to choose from. That's the 1 problem I have when I go there is that there are so many great choices, it's hard to choose which one to get. Yum, so tasty. I go there often.

I am from WV and come to NY about every month to visit with family and friends. We visited this place today and had the best ice cream I ever eaten in 35 years. Butter Cream and Panda Paw ( or something like that 🤣) was amazing! There waffle bowls are worth getting as well. We will be visiting this place every visit from now on. Customer service was spectacular as well!

We were looking for a place to have dessert. Our first option, the closest, was closed.J S Soft serve was our 2nd option and boy we were happy our first option was closed.68 flavors of soft serve, waffle cones, toppings, cups, waffle bowls you name it...Awesome.My son went for a waffle cone with caramel soft serve and i went for a small cup with rum soft serve.Both were delicious!!!!While eating in the car we already planned our next trip as we have to drive 25 miles to enjoy the delight.Well worth it though !!

Love this place I go here all the time today they messed up my order and gave me vanilla instead of twists and I asked them to put a little bit to the side for my daughter cuz she's only 8 months old so they gave me the mess ups and my order and only charged me for the one!!

Your choice of cup, waffle, cake or sugar cones. Various topping for sundaes. Friendly staff, fair prices. Mainly take out, extremely limited seating inside.

Their waffle cones alone are worth more then 5 stars, their ice cream is also AMAZING!!!! We used to go to twin come every weekend (for YEARS) with the whole family... moved to Sullivan county and went to j’s regularly instead because it was closer and the one time we were in bloomingburg and went to twin cone it was like night and day. The ice cream we once thought was to die for at twin cone doesn’t even begin to compare to the ice cream at j’s.

It's in my neighborhood. Whatever you buy is delicious and fresh. It feels like a mom and pop shop because they're friendly n they actually remember what you like to eat. Where can you get service like that? Only in Monticello.

By far the best ice cream shop in monticello definitely worth the drive whether you are within a 30 mile radius or visiting the casino J's should be a stop on your trip

They have Perry's over here! And cone varieties (wafer, sugar, waffle, waffle bowl)! The regular size in a bowl is also a healthy serving. If it's a busy day though, it's a pain backing out of there on to the road, just as a warning.

My favorite new place Canoli ice cream is awesome
