It's an ok store, but the service is good. Yesterday (March 30th), went to Rae's register. She was fast, friendly, and efficient. I was putting groceries back in the cart and she made sure they were within reach. Most employees are slower, but they're mostly pleasant.

This used to be my main grocery store, until about last year. Now lines are backed up into the store at every register so bad you cant even access the main isle. Its like this everytime no matter the time of day or what day it is. They refuse to fully staff the cashiers- they want you to use the self checkout- which sucks for more than a few items (Please place your item in the baggage area where there is absolutely no room for it) The cashiers they do staff all retired at least 10 years ago from their 1st career No hand baskets anymore you have to use a honking cart for everything. Gotta practically beg for deli service whom first suggests you buy the pre cut stuff. Even if you purchase bags they don't bag your groceries for you. If you complain about any of it they just shrug their shoulders. Food is no longer inexpensice, Service is dead, and Price Choppers share holders are richer than ever. I hope they open an aldis in this town.

The cashiers had to have someone come over and look at our ID. The customer service lady grabbed my husband Wallet out of his hand so hard all his cards fell out of his wallet all of the place. She never said sorry. Or help make sure all the cards were picked up. I will think twice before going here again.

Deli sliced meat & cheese are high quality but some are sliced so thin that it's hard to detach a slice. And product dries out fast.Check turkey, provlone., cheddar...

Had to throw out over $40.00 in meat when opened smelled like a dead person and expiry for both roasts were into mid December. The expiration on most meats is too quickly for the regular store meats so end up buying the other ones and have this issue. Going to try to avoid coming here. Also cashiers hand you paper bags to bag yourself half the time, if wanted to do that would go to ALDIs, and they have fresher meat and vegetables there.

Good prices, good quality selection. I signed up for an advantage card and got immediate bargains. Shelley C. was my cheerful and friendly but exhausted cashier. What a positive attitude for a hard worker on an overdue break and less than an hour before the end of her shift. KUDOS SHELLEY C.! We had good banter about produce codes, lol. I would definitely come back to this store when I'm in the area again.

This store is great! They have great deals, and most of the time they exactly what you want when shopping. The customer service is at this store was very pleasant. We have not had a bad experience yet, and we hope to never have one.

I wish I could give them a half-a-star. We moved to the area this year, and this store is by far the worst grocery store we have ever visited. For the third time, I bought moldy bread. The produce is literally always terrible, and I have never spoken to anyone that doesn’t hate this store. I’m not sure where the good reviews came from. The meat selection is negligible, and we have even bought foul bacon there. They just do not care about what they have on the shelves. The prices are also very high, the sales are illogical, and the lines are long. The only thing that works there is the floral department, and the friendly staff. Why have a seafood department when it is all frozen? Or a bakery full of moldy bread?

The store has staffing morale issuesI am a local, was in there on thanskgiving, cashier informed me very clearly how she felt store needed to be closed, she didn't want to be there, and because customers were shopping administration would look at foot traffic and continue to remain open on holidays. She was not happy.. Definitely not a topic of conversation a customer cares to hear as they are checking out. As for store itself- shelves aren't quite as stocked, deli and seafood--get comfy as your waiting awhile, prices - you can tell its a college town, sadly.

Without any doubt the worst deli staff in all dellis in any nation world wide. The level of incompetence is staggering, from the incredible slow service which is consistently slow at any time day or night. have been standing in line with 1 person in front of for 10 minutes and that person has only gotten 2 meat orders of 1lb.Staffing at this location should be completely replaced with people who can actually function as humans. Also, maybe put more than 1 person on.... Would be helpful.

Commercialism. It's the only option like it nearby...but it would be nice to support the small local businesses where possible. Produce is usually decent and there is always a reasonable variety of products.

Little effort has been made to keep shelves stocked since April.When I asked the cashier today if she was going to wipe down the conveyor belt as the sign posted indicated, she simply said ‘yes, I’m supposed to, but I’m not going to’ and Stood there waiting for me to unload my cart.Very disappointed with this store.

Wanted to play lottery, the lady was with the lottery agent , and actually told me she is too busy to take my ticket. She did take after a tad. Prices of produce do not register correctly on self check out. Prices do not register correctly on cashier check out. It is unfortunate this is the only store in town. Music loud and hear someone singing over music. Fish department stinks nothing like Norwich store. When I first came up here 4 years ago, this store was much better

Love going here. Work long shifts in the area and can always find a good meal that is t the same old for a good price. And the store is clean organized. Staff is friendly and good to get advise or just even to help find the thing that's escaping me.

This corp chain doesn't care how people are suffering. There's no deals like Giant or Weis in Pa. I use to deliver to golub the warehouse for price chopper. The economy isn't suffering it's because corp America wants to pinch the middle class but they want us to buy into the false statements if you become a member then to u save. What a joke. It's all about data tracing. If ANY store can give a discount with a card then do it without a card. NY don't know good business if it slapped them in the face. Thank you Empire state for caring about your people that keep you wealthy.

Price Chopper has great products, but that is mostly because they are the only store in the area. Today I went to buy a bag of clams. Which is normally an easy task -- walk in and pick them up from the cooler, however, it was far from easy due to the customer service I received.I looked in the Fish fridge to the right to see if there are any clams, and there were no bags. So to do my due diligence I also checked the small freezer to the left to see if there were any in there, and there were none. At this point I noticed there was no one at the fish counter and 3 people in line at the deli.I walked up to the fish counter where I found a sign that said, verbatim, 'Please ask deli teammates for assistance.' Now, I don't claim to be a professor of literature, or an expert on the English language, but I am pretty sure that means ask the person behind the counter to the left that is handing out cuts of meat and cheese. Since this counter had a line of 3 people I opted to run and grab a tub of butter from the other side of the store.When I returned to the deli counter the same people were still in line. The woman at the front of the line was looking through the case, the deli employee was paying seemingly no attention to her, and the second customer in line, a middle aged woman, seemed to be losing her patience a bit. At this point she nicely asked the gentleman behind the counter what the hold up was and I couldn't hear every word because I was social distanced by like 18 feet, but it seemed that there was a misunderstanding and the employee was waiting on the first customer in line.. This I understand, misunderstandings happen all the time no big deal, but this line is going to take a bit to clear since it's 4 people long now so I prepare for the wait.At this point an older woman goes up to the fish counter, the one with no employee behind it and that has the sign that says 'Please ask deli teammate for assistance.' I see her look at the sign for awhile and think about it, but she chooses to continue to wait at the fish counter. I think that's fine, but I was going to do what the sign asked and ask the deli teammate for assistance.The 3 people in front of me in line each wanted multiple cuts of different types of meet and the gentleman behind the counter appeared tired after a long day so he was rather sluggish. In total when the third customer began getting helped I was in line for 32 minutes. When it got to my turn someone miraculously showed up at the fish counter and started helping the woman there order lobster despite the sign that clearly says ask deli teammate for assistance.I decided to ask the deli teammate anyway if they had clams and, no joke, his response was, 'I have meat and cheese.'I kindly pointed out that there was a sign on the fish counter that said to ask deli teammate for assistance to which he responded, 'Well there is someone over there now, right?'There was no, I am sorry about your wait or one moment let me confer with my colleague or attempt to help the customer (me) at all just a response that made it sound like a lot of 'not my problem.'It literally took me around 40 minutes to get a $10.00 bag of clams. I really hope this was a one off and not all customers are getting treated like this, but please if you are a fellow customer shopping here do not let this behavior be acceptable.Just put a bell at the fish counter and take down the misleading sign for starters. After that, I understand that the people behind the counter are working hard, but some of us did our hard work for the week already and are trying to enjoy the valuable time off we get instead of spending it standing in line for a $10.00 bag of clams.

I had a great experience with Mickey and Lisa from floral. They put in a lot of extra effort to make sure my mother got flowers on Mother’s Day. This year since I cannot go visit my mother due to COVID, it made it extra special. Thanks to Mickey and Lisa in floral. Because of them I will always come back!

My wife was accused of stealing twice while using the self checkout line, was humiliated in front of everyone. I called and complained the second time and was told it couldn't be true but they'd give us a $10 gift card. Thought it was a measly effort but at least they tried.I, myself go there every Friday for a dozen donuts for my employees. Never have I had any trouble until this morning when they were waxing the floors. I arrived at 6:40 a.m., so not exactly an inconvenient time. The store had caution tape all around it every single isle but nothing saying not to walk anywhere. I ducked under the tape and headed for the back because nobody was around. I get more than halfway to the back and there's a man screaming at me from the front of the store that I can't be in there. No idea why he couldn't meet me at the door to explain this. I figured I had to at least keep walking to get out of the isle. I get to the end and there is 3 it 4 more guys who begin screaming that I can't be there. I felt as if they were going to attack me, got nervous and left the store. I understand maintenance has to be done but either the store needs to be closed, the work could be done at night or they could have stopped me appropriately at the door.

I used to go in all the time only because they have such great hard workers... But I went to customer service, waited for 20 minutes, Brenda looked at me and kept walking . I RANG THE BELL and she came over with a attitude. Told her what I needed and she replied very rudely "Jesus Christ" . So I walked away Now I only go in when and if I absolutely need to.There was a time in reached in the cooler by the check out for a iced coffee and stuck my hand in a raw meat package I told the team member on self check out and the man replied it was his dinner ...

Didn't have the brand of beer that I wanted in bottles, bread has gone up another 20 cents a loaf, but the cashiers are great and helpful. I'll try again tomorrow!
