The pharmacy dept is terribly run. They always run out of my dads regular medications and it's happened again now for the 4th time. My father is a costumer for at least 3 years, same medications. They should send him to another Walgreens or order enough since his prescriptions are the same for the past 3 years. Longer than that!!!!!Any suggestions on who I can talk to next?I will certainly take them.This is not ok for people that need their medications to live!!!

Completely mis-managed pharmacy department . I don’t blame the employees, I blame the manager!- Prescriptions not ready even though you are told it ready for pick up.- You wait for days to get your medication. You feel you are being lied to- drive through is a mess . You ring bell and no one comes to the window. If you are busy, then just communicate to the customer. Don’t just ignore us!- no one waiting for vaccines yet I sat around for an hour before I got my shots!- if there is a line at the pharmacy window, the other workers behind don’t come and help. They continue to do whatever they were doing. Does that make sense? Take care of the customers . Your inventory can wait a few minutes.This is why I blame management ! You should be observing how your department works and correct the issues. Without fail, every time I use the Miller Place store, there is an issue!

The pharmacy staff is horrible. Was told that my doctor never sent a prescription even though I had an email from Walgreens saying that they were out of stock and would have it shortly.Also received a phone call saying that they were out of stock and would have it ready the next day. When I called to inquire, two days later, I was told that no prescription existed, that I was never called and that no email was ever sent! Basically, that I was lying.Lost my mind, and after getting heated with the staff member, she finally and conveniently found the script. Just too lazy and unprofessional to assist a customer. HORRIBLE SERVICE.I'll never patronize them again. I'm stunned by thier lack of professionalism. Avoid!

Worst ever!So many mistakes made!Horrible customer service and very rude.You get a call that your prescription is ready and then you go to pick up maybe 3 days later and now they don't have it and it's not in the system!I've been going there forever and always say Im going to post a review and I don't bc Ifeel terrible to do that but I'm done now!

Teenagers are completely useless nowadays. I asked where the bathroom is, the cashier says in the back. I had to ask where in the back; left, right? He pointed. I finished paying, handed my boyfriend the bag and said (in front of the cashier) I'm going to run to the bathroom, I'll be right out. I walk to the back of the store, and the bathroom is locked. Why wouldn't one of the 2 cashiers have mentioned this?? I have been shopping here for years and have always received friendly & welcoming service. I was very disappointed today.

Pharmacy needs more help or they are flat out incompetent, don't know which one.**UPDATE** 2024Definitely incompetent...My wife had went to pick up a pain prescription after giving birth and as we all know this pharmacy takes forever to do anything which is an issue in itself. As she was given one of her prescriptions the pharmacist didn't give her the pain medication. My wife brought this to their attention and the pharmacist had the nerve to accuse her of taking it and claiming she didn't get it. My wife insisted they check their own cameras. Turns out the pharmacist DID NOT give it to her and had it there the entire time. This is not only embarrassing for a customer but grossly rude to not even apologize to someone who didn't do anything wrong. Walgreens needs to address the issues at this pharmacy ASAP. I don't understand how you could run a business this way. Stay away from this Walgreens pharmacy at all costs.

This pharmacy is the worst. My daughter was in an accident waiting to be released from the hospital but needed to fill a prescription before that could happen. Doctor came to us and said he’s been on hold for 20 minutes waiting to speak to the pharmacist about filling the prescription. The hospital can’t release her without it. We had him call across the street to Rite Aid, the prescription was immediately filled and my daughter was released from the hospital. If your insurance company would allow it, you should move your prescriptions across the street as well. If I could give this Walgreens less stars, I would.

I don’t like being lied too…. I went to this pharmacy 3 times to refill the same script. (Not controlled) Each time they said it will be ready the next day. After checking my online account, I noticed it still hasn’t been filled. When I called the store, after being put on hold for 10 mins, I was told they no longer stock that medication because it’s no longer avail through their wholesaler. I would have to check another pharmacy. I asked if they could check another Walgreen, but was told no other Walgreens has this medication. I decided to check the closest Walgreens and not only can they get the medication, they had it in stock and was filled same day.

This is the worst pharmacy I've ever used. It takes days for them to fill 1 prescription. I've never in my life had to wait more than 24 hours to get a prescription filled.

This isn't the 1st time I've seen Female Pharmacist be disrespectful to customer. If she ever talked or treated me the way I've seen her interact with other customers, I would immediately be on phone with Walgreens Corporate Office. I understand they are busy but that is no reason to be nasty and disrespectful. Would never use this Pharmacy and friends that used to go there have stopped due to same female Pharmacist being rude. Do better Walgreens

Walgreens pre-authorized a prescription that I called to refill and my insurance gave the ok. I received a text that the prescription was ready and when I got there they had no history of anything I was saying and blamed it on corporate and clearly couldn’t care less about my circumstances. Switching to rite aid across rhe street.

Joey is a really nice guy, very helpful and hardworking! I know that there are issues elsewhere in the pharmacy, but let's take a step back and give graditude to the people bagging and checking our items. Even the stuff we don't want our parents to know about 😉, wish people like Joey got more recognition and a raise!

Slow... Very SlowPicking up prescriptions is painfully slow. There's always a line whether inside at the counter or outside at the pickup window. I don't think they have enough people to properly staff handling customers at the pharmacy counter. If the person in line ahead of you has an issue, the whole line has to wait until their issue is resolved by the one person manning the counter. I have found CVS just down the road much much quicker.

Waited on hold for 1 hour to transfer a prescription (on Thursday). Didn't get through to the pharmacy and called the main store. They immediately put me back through to the pharmacy for another 15 minute wait. I called again and spoke to a manager who took down my information and assured a call back once the transfer was complete. No call back through the entire weekend. I call again today (Monday) for another 15 minute wait on hold for the pharmacist to say they cannot do anything about the transfer and I need to contact the other Walgreens. Thankfully my medication is not necessary for me to function, but this is an abysmal way to run a pharmacy.

If there was a lower rating than one star, Wallgreens, Miller Place would get it after three days of trying to get a prescription filled. That is a non-narcotic prescription with the insurance company express scripts and Wallgreens. We finally resolved it ! Walgreens. Miller Place said they would have the prescription ready by 3 o’clock today which is two hours after the 3 way call we got there 4 hours later and they tell us they do not have the medication we have to come back. This is totally unacceptable when you’re dealing with someone’s life. I hope upper management see this post

If you have to call the pharmacy, prepare to wait at least 40 minutes. I’m on hold as I write this. It’s been over 30 minutes so far. I called earlier and waited 25 minutes and then was hung up on. This is ridiculous and no way to provide service to customers. I am switching pharmacies. I waited another 10 minutes and hung up. My blood pressure is probably through the roof!

Signed in for a vaccination and listened to them tell the pharmacist about my name and appointment. Proceeded to wait forty minutes because it needed to thaw, only to find out she’d forgotten I was there and never took it out of the freezer.

Hi, I was there yesterday (01/08). Joey is so helpful always knowledgeable on the products they sell. When I get to check out I was rang up by Norman, he always was a pleasure to be helped by. The store manager here is such a sweet lady. I have ran into her a few times and she always makes my day. The store is always clean and is actually one of the few Walgreens I prefer going to. While, I don’t know about the Pharmacy side of the store, I do know that the staff is friendly and willing to help you if needed. I always find what I am looking for and the store never feels too crowded like most Walgreens.

By far the worst pharmacy I’ve ever dealt with. Asked if they’d be able to have my RX ready every month when I changed and they said yes. For the first few months, it was fine. After that…every month was a joke. Had to wait 4 days for a script that helps my mobility and allows me to work. Will go to a small pharmacy bc these big ones are awful

I made appointment last night (08/16/2021) for a covid test at Miller Place, NY for 12:30 this afternoon (08/17/2021) after possibly being exposed by a family member. I received a confirmation email the the appointment at 6:30 am this morning. I arrived punctually at 12:15 for my test with proper identification and confirmation email in hand. I was told that due to unforeseen circumstances that all appointments were canceled for today. I was offered another appointment. However, I was assured if i visited their Wading River location they would absolutely be able to test me. The employee assured me “100% absolutely.” That seemed like only a minor inconvenience so I traveled a few miles to the Wading River location. Upon arrival at their drive up Pharmacy, I was told that they were unable to administer a covid test because they did not have my “papers.” They never offered me papers to fill out. Simply turned me away. I was told to call 1-800-walgreens if I had any concerns. I did call. Their automated message claims they are committed to excellent customer service. I did not receive excellent service. I was just told to travel around to multiple locations to possibly spread or contract Covid. I am fully vaccinated as is my family member who has recently tested positive. I was attempting to do my part to slow the spread. After waiting 20 minutes on hold, I was able to speak with a customer service representative. I left my information and was assured the District Manager would contact me in 3-5 days… well see about that commitment to “excellent customer service.”

the pharmacy staff is helpful but the way they handle prescriptions is unacceptable. they give me a few pills then take over a week to complete the rest of the prescription. they are a major chain, they should be able to have the correct quantities available. having to make multiple trips is not a good way to keep customer satisfaction. in addition to which, i am always fearful i will run out of my medication. i can not recommend this pharmacy.

I went Saturday night a little after 6 to get a flu shot and they were closed. I went yesterday to this location at 5:45 just for a flu shot and the pharmacy was open. I said I'm just here for a flu shot. The woman behind the pharmacy counter said "oh, were closed." I said its not 6 yet and I'm just getting a flu shot. Then the pharmacist said behind her podium very nasty "were closed!" I said its not even 6 yet and if you're closed then you should close your gate. Very disappointed in this Walgreens I used to love this pharmacy and for someone who has been in the retail and customer service industry for 20 years would never go to this location again and will tell anyone I know not to go to this location because of the mistreatment and poor service I received.

The first time I have shopped in this Walgreens was about a week ago. Other than that I may have stopped into use an ATM or the restroom. I vaguely remember something to that effect. I was very surprised that the prices were a bit less than their competitor CVS which is located in an adjacent building. The store is not as nice to shop in but I value my money. If I can get the same products for less here I will be shopping here.
