This place is amazing, the whole staff & the Dr are absolutely wonderful. We had called last minute to get our ferret Lola in for an emergency & she has never been seen at this office before, we originally called our usual vet’s office & they told us they could not squeeze her in, so we were referred here @ Miller Place Animal Hospital by a friend & they took her right in & helped her without hesitation. I will now be bringing all of my fur babies here. Everyone is so friendly & the Dr is knowledgeable & very reasonably priced. Thank you again! -Love Lola & family

This place/staff has been nothing short of amazing, friendly, and accommodating for my kitty, Geiger! He’s had some minor health problems and they were so quick to get him in and taken care of. They’re also very quick to keep me updated and never forget to return calls.. Dr Hirsch, the lovely reception Jeffrey and I believe Jackie? I hope I have her name right, they’re wonderful. Thank you very, very much for all you do!

Went to them spur of the moment for our senior cat when our regular vet wouldnt see him. Dr. Hirsch took his time and explained everything. I switched to bringing all of our pets there. The staff is super friendly and always remembers us/the pets. We love Dr Hirsch and all of the staff!!

Been visiting the Miller Place Animal Hospital for over 20 years, the staff is professional and kind, goes above and beyond when necessary. Doctor Hirsch is top notch and explains things very thorough and the cost is much more reasonable than other vets in the area.

We brought our dying cat in as an emergency and had to stand at the desk while the receptionist talked on the phone he didn’t even look up to see our distracted faces. As it turned out, the cat had died. The vet was very nice and explained what was the cause of the death, and then, as we paid to go out, I had words with the receptionist because he was so unsympathetic.

We left this place many many years ago over a nasty receptionist. Had to run in for a fast checkup a few weeks ago because our normal vet was too booked. Anyway we may switch back all dogs here as this place is so much closer... BUT MAIN REASON we would even consider it now is the receptionist now is great person to deal with.

I recently moved to Miller Place with my 14 year old dog. I considered keeping my Vet in Deer Park but decided to go local and I'm so glad I did my girl has dental and heart issues and Dr. Hirsch was wonderful in treating my girl.The entire staff is so nice. I definitely recommend Miller Place Animal Hospital.😊

Dr. Hirsch and his staff are the absolute best. They are thoughtful, caring, patient, and I absolutely love that Dr.Hirsch always comes in to say hello to us, even if we are there for minor stuff. Other vets, they always have someone different who clearly never cares about you and your pet. Miller Place Animal Hospital is the best hands down and I would 10/10 recommend to anybody and everybody I know with a pet. You will not be disappointed!

Staff, doctor extremely caring. Brought my 15 yr old in for what I thought might be a bad diagnosis given his age and all but it turns out it was largely digestive issues. Gave me medicines to treat and today he is like a new dog. Its not an anxiety provoking atmosphere either. Very calm and orderly. My dog normally shakes and shivers when i bring to a vets office. He was calm as can be! Highly recommend!

I brought my two cats to this office for a yearly check up this past week. The staff was very nice and professional. Dr Hirsch is very knowledgeable and honest. He explained to me what I needed to know. I’ve been with this practice for the past 25 years with my other cats in the past. I’ve always been happy. Since the practice was sold to Dr Hirsch I’m very happy also. There’s just one little thing I would say could improve. Its the weight of the cats was not on the invoice like it used to be.It was on the rabies certificate but I like when it’s on the invoice also. It’s the only negative for me. I’m happy otherwise and my cats are also.

The entire staff at Miller Place Animal Hospital is amazing!! They are caring and very thorough. My dog has been going there since she was 8 weeks old, and she actually gets excited when we pull up lol she gets lots of snuggles and treats from this incredible staff. Their care is awesome and i would recommend them to anyone. I trust them to care for my very spoiled, precious cat as well.

I started taking my dog Max here when I moved to Sound Beach 6 years ago. I have since gotten a new dog as well. The staff have always taken good care of my boys with kindness and professionalism. Dr. Hirsch the latest owner explains things well and is happy to answer questions to put pet parents at ease. They also have followed up with me after procedures to check how the dogs are doing, which is very nice. I also appreciate their precautions regarding covid and, when the waiting room was open, not overcrowding the waiting area with anxious patients. I would recommend Miller Place Animal Hospital to anyone in the area.

I can only say, Dr. Galvis is caring and honest with her medical care, and I appreciate that. The staff is patient and kind, and a special shout out to Cathy, she has been more help than she will ever know.:)

Do not use this office. I had let them know my cat was not cooperative and would need sedation to complete an exam in order to find out why he stopped eating, stopped drinking and lost 5 lbs. They didn't listen and didn't sedate. They were unable to complete exam like I said and returned him to me to take him elsewhere. I couldn't afford to bring him to an emergency clinic and pay thousands. They offered no other options. They didn't return my calls for help after appointment. I wound up having to bring my cat to another vet the next day who worked with me with costs, got everything he needed done, and was able to send me home with medication to help him. Do not go to Miller Place Animal Hospital.

Dr. Dylan Hirsch is an amazing Veterinarian and we are very grateful for him and the staff at Miller Place Animal Hospital. In 2021 Dr. Hirsch diagnosed one of our cats with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia and through surgical intervention and the care of this Veterinarian, one year later, Oliver is playful (zoomies) and comfortable. He has now diagnosed our other cat, Sammy, with probable laryngeal paralysis. We can finally treat Sammy and he can live a great life. We would also like to thank Jenn C, Jillian, Jackie, the always pleasant Jeffrey and the rest of the professionals at MPAH that help care for our pets!

What a great experience. From the well organized curbside drop off, to the quick and effecient exam and pick up of my sweet Kitty. He waz provided with a steroid shot, antibiotics and pain killers for a very reasonable price. I will most def be going back. Kudos!

I had read reviews that were not positive and figured I’d decide for myself how I liked the service and the staff.I should have heeded the warning signs.I called and asked for a 6 month supply of flea and tick meds for my dog and was sold on a heart worm preventative also(the upsell is real)and after getting home and opening the box,I got one pill of each which they charged 75 dollars for.When I called about it,Jeffery,was extremely rude and unprofessional and hung up the phone on me.When I called back to complain about this treatment-he hung up hoping I wouldn’t call back.When I finally got the Vet on the phone,there was no apology for the misleading information given or for his employees rude and unprofessional treatment.They must get this a lot.My advice after this fiasco would be to find another Vet-there are many around who won’t try to sell more than you ask for and then underdeliver.Extremely displeased.

Dr Hirsch saved our dogs life! She had an intestinal blockage and needed surgery, Dr Hirsch walked us through the whe procedure, while making us feel extremely comfortable. Dr Hirsch and Miller Place Animal Hospital will be our dogs care provider for years to come.

I called at least 8 different places for an emergency, some places even had a 3 week wait. Miller Place didn’t make us wait.. and made an appointment for us right away!!
