I have been shooting here for well over 10 years. I finally bought a Family Membership this year and it has paid for itself 3x over already. I have never had a bad experience or a Grumpy Trapper. They are also very kid friendly. My son just turned 14 and has been consistently shooting north of the half-way mark.

Really fantastic experience. I’ve been shooting since I was a teenager but I had never been professionally critiqued. I learned a tremendous amount about weaknesses I didn’t know I had. It doesn’t matter if you’re a rank amateur or doing this all your life, you will learn a lot.

What a great place! Few of us went to Sandanona on the weekend, we were greeted very nicely by the ladies behind the counter. They made sure we had everything we needed to go out. We then met our guide, Rod Stewart, who was phenomenal. We had a couple new shooters in our party and he went out of his way to make sure they felt comfortable the whole time. Highly recommend him as your guide the next time you book! A++

I took my boyfriend here for a fun surprise and we had the best time! We started with a late lunch at the cafe. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. The service in the shop and during the reservation process was also perfect. I bought the Groupon for a one hour guided session, Erik was our teacher, and we had the best time. I couldn't recommend Erik enough. He was so professional, polite, and incredibly good at what he does. We would love to come back to take another class with him in the future!

Want to say Orvis knows there stuff. Best in Class. Dinning, shooting, staff are top notch. This experience is to truly be remembered. Most importantly I had the best trapper. Her name was Lindsay. Helpful, gave tips, and was like she was added to the group!!! Will be requesting her each time! Thank you Lindsay and the the rest of the Orvis team! Great job!

I've been here twice now and I'm in love with this place. The first time I went here, I was with a group of women. We had such a wonderful time and the grounds are stunning. My most recent visit was with my significant other for our anniversary and what an amazing celebration it was! He had so much fun and it was such an adventure with a beautiful side of romance. The teacher was immensely helpful and the weather was perfect. I can't wait to go back in the winter time!

A wonderful place to shoot Sporting Clays. Your guide will tune each stations difficulty ensuring beginners through advanced shortmen find the shooting both fun and challenging. Excellent staff. Guides are helpful and always available to help. A beautiful location. Whether you want to shoot 100 clays, or need help fitting your gun.... This place is hard to beat. I'll be back for sure.

One of the best sporting clays courses for any level. The Guides are all very knowledgeable and helpful when approaching new/updated presentations. They recently reversed the course so it makes it even more of a challenge for more advanced shooters.I’d highly recommend reserving a golf cart. There are several hills and some rough terrain.There are water stations all over the course.In the fall there are apples at some of the water stations.When the weather gets cooler the enormous fire pits are a great way to warm up and enjoy your surroundings.The main house contains a very nice retail area for clothing and a very nice section dedicated to sporting arms. The restaurant is a great place to wind down after an amazing day of shooting.Open all year long. You won’t be disappointed.

First time I've ever been to a shooting range outside like this. People very friendly. Very knowledgeable on safety and on using the firearms the correct way. Would recommend this for anyone would like to experience firearms our guide. Doug number one. He was phenomenal, funny, knowledgeable and always maintained safety. First five stars go Doug

I’d like to compliment the staff & our Trapper Jordan who made our shooting round a great experience. He lives nearby & I shoot out of Orvis-Purcell’s excellent facility in Alabama. Knowing my son was a new shooter Jordan threw targets for him that built his confidence which led to a great father/son outing. Definitely we will return..

Really enjoyed our first visit today. We had just planned a quick look around to acquaint ourselves with this fabulous facility. However, as luck would have it, there was availability for us to shoot a round of Sporting clays. We were assigned Carl as our 'trapper' and found him to be very professional and helpful, showing us some basic tips to help us improve our shooting, while also being a great conversationalist. We found the staff in the store and restaurant to be exceptional, in particular Heather and Martine. We look forward to returning often!

My friends and I had a really fun experience. The restaurant had delicious paninis. There were some mixup with foods and desserts but the waitress was able to correct them. The shooting experience was really fun as well but we had to wait a lot longer than our time slot due to an instructor schedule mixup. Regardless, it was a really fun experience that I will return for.

Fun time. A bit costly but a nice course. You need a trapper. Machines are not automated.You can walk the courses. 1.2 and 1.7 miles respectively, but I think no one does. Trapper drives the golf cart.

Sandanonna was among the pioneers of Sporting clay's in USA. Not the cheapest place to shoot. You get what you pay for. Shooting here is a step back into a gentler time. Calm and relaxing. The trappers following your squad around, are inevitably smart, fun and accomplished shots in there own right. They will give you some advice if asked. There is no off season at Sandanonna. Each season offers different lighting, foliage, and changelings. I currently reside in Florida an outdoorsy paradise. That said, of all that I miss about the North East, I miss shooting at Sandanonna the most.

Nice location …. First time visiting from Canada. Big shout out to Paula Moore for a shotgun shooting lesson and the chance to shoot a Caesar Geurini. Beautiful upstate NY scenery and a great clubhouse.
