Seems this store has changed ownership or management recently and is now turning away from what made it successful. It has been renovated to have regular shelves instead of wine racks, which makes it look like any run-of-the-mill wine/liquor shop. But what made it a different type of store to shop at is that every wine in the shop had a description written by management describing what the wine was, it's flavors and what foods it could be paired with. This has now been replaced by generic shelves with a printed price tag below the wine and nothing else. Also, the friendly, knowledgeable workers seem to be gone and have been replaced by someone who just scans your UPC. In other words it has turned into a typical, soulless wine & liquor with nothing to set it apart from any other shop. It's no longer worth it to go an extra mile or two to shop here because it's now unremarkable.

When I first showed up I asked the young kid around the store the price on banana peanut butter whiskey and was ignored. I than asked the guy behind the counter what was significant to make the price of the Yamato so much 4 times and was ignores each time. Customer service is terrible. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go here when there are several other places around the area that sell different types of liquors.

Great wine shop with knowledgeable staff. Might look little but the have a big selection, much better than all the other wine stores in the area. My go to whenever I'm in Middletown and need some delicious wines!

Stopped in for the first time while I was visiting Middletown. While the selection is small the employee working was VERY knowledgeable and made great recommendations. So much in fact that the wine I picked was SO disappointing compared to what she recommended. Would absolutely trust her to recommend me a wine again. Wish I caught her name so I could add it here but she was great.

they usually host tastings from 4-7, small wine store, decent selection, not a store to really get single malts at before cookouts and parties. I believe ownership has changed with prices

I enjoy going here because I'm new to wine and no one judges me. They are incredibly helpful and the way the store is set up wines are easy to browse. Almost every wine has an information card telling you important things like what it pairs with and major flavors. Wines are nicely priced and neatly organized. You can also find local wines here too.

Customer service is number one in my book, and Vineyards Wine & Spirit Shop has it! I was delightfully aided in selecting a wine, as my knowledge is subpar, and left feeling happy about my first visit here. The prices and selections are great as well. Thank you Mr. Randy for a wonderful experience.

Randy is literally the most gracious and humble business owner I've encountered. It's very obvious that the unfavorable reviews I saw are his competitors because you will never enter a more welcoming spirits store in your life

Don’t usually write reviews but I had to on this one. I just left the store and the service was just awful. The lady behind the counter was rude and not helpful. When I asked her about some wines that I was looking for she was very short handed. When I asked what she recommended she seemed uninterested and very rushed even though I was the only one in the store. When I finally decided she was no help and I’d look around myself, she was staring at me the WHOLE time. The ONLY reason i am giving this place 2 stars is because of the prices and they seemed well stocked. But it is safe to say I am definitely never shopping here again.

I like Italian red wine. This shop has a fabulous selection of such. I have yet to make a bad purchase even spending as little as nine dollars for a bottleI imagine that the quality of wines holds for all the varieties they stock.They price the spirits competitively too.

Unwelcoming atmosphere walking in, white, elder skinny lady behind the counter just stares at me walking in, doesn’t even say a greeting or offer any assistance. Poor customer service and rude. Definitely will not shop where I don’t feel welcomed. Taking my business elsewhere.

Don't do business here. The woman (early 40's, skinny) behind the register asked for my ID (normal protocol, completely understandable) decided to just stare back and forth from my ID to my face and said this doesn't look right, it doesn't look like you... She did the whole "when's your birthday"...I told her...I even gave her my address. Meanwhile, other customers were waiting and hey I'm an honest person...I told her I've gained weight since I took that photo on my ID. And what did she do? She laughed.As a female... that is something you just don't do. I feel completely embarrassed and upset. I only wish I got her name.She was totally unprofessional and I will never do business with this establishment again.

The Vineyards is a favorite spot for me because I always find solid wine choices and helpful staff. Their selection is mostly in the good value for good quality category. There are a few special bottles, in the premium caregory. But most are under $20, and several under $10. An easy place to find an enjoyable bottle.

Their price are so reasonable it feels like stealing. And they have great customer service. Bring your purchase to your car and won't even accept a tip.

Only place I'll go to buy wine as wine is their specialty. Staff knows their merchandise and can make suggestions to suit your need and taste. 15% off coupon makes great deal if you have one. Smaller section is devoted to token nod to other spirits.

Horrible Horrible Horrible, I walked through the doors and INSTANTLY bad energy. No one greeted my wife and I or asked us if we needed any help (and there was a lady behind the counter who I think was the owner,very odd) no music playing , just pure silence as if we were in a library. No way to run a business. Won’t be going back ever
