Good selection and variety of food and supplies staff is a bit underwhelming in terms on reptile knowledge. Bought 1 and then 2 additional. We put them in same enclosure and after 2 dying later on find out you're not supposed to co habitate them. Another store familiar with reptiles would have refused to sell more than 1 or make sure we had seperate enclosures

I’ve been a member for over two years. You promise after certain among of dog food bags I will get one free. I am still waiting. And believe me my dogs are not starving. So that was lie .

Can I just tell u about the employee Justin he harassed me verbally about the grooming service I have been going to petco for my dogs hair cuts for years I have two poodles they turned away my first dog because they stated he was matted they never gave me any issues before this new groomer Jackie came on board later on at 3 I called him back to see if would turn away my second dog he started to scream over me and started to harass me about if I went in there this man should not be in customer service let alone be a supervisor I'm a middle aged woman that has a busy life and just wanted to treat her dogs I feel very bad for this man and what he must of went through in life to be so aggressive towards a woman shame on u petco and yes I called corporate and the only thing they did was cancel my appointment for the second dog ..guys go somewhere else it might be a little more expensive but it's quality and by the way my husband ended up shaving my first dog himself the one they turned away first shame on uu here's a picture of my husband shaving the dog he was saying I needed to go to a vet unfrickenreal

My wife and I purchased 2 small fish with our children at Petco. Employee Samantha collected the fish and checked us out. I asked her questions prior to us checking out such as which type of food would be best, she could not have cared less saying any tropical pellet will do just trying to move us along to the register. Both fish were dead by the next morning. We went back with the dead fish the next day to exchange the fish. When we arrived we approached Samantha who was at the register explaining that the 2 fish had died less than 24 hours of purchasing them. She immediately said it was our fault the fish died. We said we would go back home to get the water for testing however she said she heard us say to our 6 year old son that we have a new tank at home when he pointed that he wanted to put these little fish into a giant tank. Never have I ever experienced such poor customer service in my life. We then spoke with a “manager” who said Samantha heard us say we had a new tank and that is why we killed the fish so there was nothing they could do, which was not even true she misheard. We left the store and purchased new fish at PetSmart. The 2 employees need customer service training.

Not Petco lol. It's now Aspire, brewery, restaurant, games. It's popular. Don't go here for dinner because they had only 3 dinner choices. Sure lots of other choices but, 3 dinners. We thought more could have been done to reduce the noise. There was a few people for trivia that just made it horrible to enjoy drinks and food while talking. Some don't understand indoor voices apparently.

I went in today to buy some food, and I was extremely disgusted by the condition of the animals. Most of them had absolutely nothing to do, had little shelter, and very small amounts of bedding. Not to mention, two of the robo dwarf hamsters were in horrible condition. There was little bedding, ONE hide, and a wheel. Both hamsters in the cage were stressed and running around trying to find a way out. On top of this, one of them was sick with its eyes closed. Im actually disgusted with this store. I cannot post the video, but I posted a picture of the sick hamster. Video has already been sent to corporate.

My sister and I absolutely love coming to this Petco so much so that we drive from Dingmans Ferry. They have the most beautiful fish, both saltwater and freshwater. The staff in the fish section are incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and ensure perfect water conditions for the fish. Whenever we visit, we're always delighted to see Jason working. Not only does he thoroughly answer our questions, but he's also polite and friendly. My sister personally only buys her saltwater fish from him. Tonight, Jason had Sam with him, who is sweet, genuine, and equally knowledgeable. They both provide exceptional customer service, creating an inviting and friendly atmosphere. Thank you so much Sam and Jason for everything you do for us! You guys are the reason we come here. We really appreciate all your hard work!

This location is the closest fresh water fish option by my house. We stopped in here to get some things to add to our tank. The staff, (a girl specifically- didnt get her name) was very knowledgeable and clearly has a love for fish. The tanks are all well taken care of.We got a new fish, some snails, a starfish and crabs. We also bought some live greenery for the tank for the fish to feed off of too. Everything looks great and we will be back soon I'm sure because theres always more to add to a tank.

Terrible customer service, I would never buy anything from this store again, they charged me for the pet food I bought but as if the machine couldn't print the receipt they didn't want to give me the product unless I paid again, why would I have to? Pay again if it appears in my bank account that they have already taken the money? I had to talk to the bank and they told me that in fact the payment had already been made and that the only thing they could do was file a dispute, apart from the fact that the manager looked like she didn't want to assist me, in truth I will never return to that store.

The Middletown location is the closest Petco for us. We come here to get good advice and we also purchase the cat litter for 3 cats. The people are friendly and you have a nice selection.

5/25/22 I bought these guppies store rep says bring back with water sample. I noticed one start having clamped fins and a white stuff growing on it and the other one have red lines and belly getting big. I put them in my quarantine tank . One died over night and the other is on its way out with fungus growth. Go to reutn the fish with the dying fish in with water. I get told they need a water sample!! I just drove 15 min only to be told I need to go back and get a new water sample seperate from the dying fungus infected fish. I said flat out you sold me sick fish and possibly could have infected my tank. They didn't care . Worst service ever refusing to admit that from 5/25 -5/31 there is no way my tank(who have healthy fish in it) caused only 2 of their brand new shipment guppies to get dropsy and fungus!

Tatiana was so amazing with my dog, Sadie! Sadie is very scared of baths and getting her nails cut, so I was hesitant to get her groomed. When we first went in, Sadie was shaking and terrified, but Tatiana got down on the floor with her and let her cuddle and lick her. She was so patient and calm, she totally calmed Sadie down. Sadie is now so soft and clean, she smells good, and she has stopped scratching her ears since they were cleaned. We will definitely be making an appointment with Tatiana whenever Sadie needs any type of grooming!

I was made to wait for almost 20 min for service in the aquatic department as the only associate that seemed to be working was taking a probably well deserved break. There was a cashier that seemed un interested in assisting and another associate standing by her side with her cell phone in hand and they were just grabbing away.. when asked for assistance the only words they could muster up where he is around here somewhere.... maybe he is on a break... They were both unwilling to assist any further at that point. Chris when he returned apologized for the wait , made no excuses and got right to work assisting me and the other customers that were made to wait by these other wise lazy other associates.

The fish looked very well kept and their enclosures had a lot of live plants in them. The staff was very patient and polite to the people seeking assistance or those who had general questions. I bought four black neon tetras from them and all my fish are thriving.

I love petco training class with Heather Fontanes and she is outstanding. She is bubbly and makes class fun but also really focuses on dog training in a positive reinforcement approach. And it really works!! The store itself is clean and the offer discount pet services with monthly fees, but they cover a lot for your dog starting at $19 a month. Overall, the class is the best part! I highly recommend Heather!
