Used to shop here often when living in Middletown could always find good items at reasonable prices. Been awhile since last visiting Family Dollar. Number of times they would have a lot of discounts of goods that I would stock up on. Sometimes the clothes they would sell was very good qualities a lot cheaper then some retail stores that didn’t break the bank especially whenever on a budget as well too.

This is the messiest Family Dollar that I have ever experienced. Starting with the display window which only displayed trash and broken down boxes. Upon entering, I saw 3 shopping carts full of clearance. They were so full that it was too difficult to look through. Then, there is merchandise everywhere, including on the floors. I will likely never go back and would advise my friends and family to choose another store. The cashiers aren't friendly at all and do not speak or give you the receipt. Your expected to treat it from the register yourself.. but they also don't tell you that.... because... again... they don't speak.I gave 2 stars because I was able to get what I came for at a reasonable price.

I could not understand why so much merchendise was on the floor. And I don't mean still in the box waiting to be stocked on the shelves. It looked aweful! And 3 associates where behind the counter socializing. Not a hello, have a nice day, nothing. Not a good shopping experience.

This store location is the definition of ghetto!!! The store was trashed, items all over the floor in every single isle, the floors (the parts that you could see), were filthy looking like they haven’t been mopped or swept in months! On top of all of this the staff was aweful! I couldn’t tell who worked there and who didn’t because random people without “family dollar” attire we’re walking behind the register! The manager Who look like she just rolled out of bed, was yelling at another new employee, something about him not going to the back and putting his uniform on and coming straight to the front of the store therefore he was holding another employee who was supposed to leave by 5 PM, behind. I understand the managers frustration but the way she yelled at him in the store was inappropriate and so tacky, if that would’ve been me I probably would’ve punched her in the throat. I will never be back to this store location and I advise you don’t either.

I stop every other day to check out the new products that they have in, and they are well stocked. They're no name brands are excellent compared to the names of brands. The prices are excellent and staff is friendly.

my husband bought three water pistols on Sunday 6/30 at approximately 3 pm, one of the pistols did not work and he went to change it, that same day 20 minutes later, my husband did not keep the receipt and the manager refused to change it, my husband told him that he had bought that gun 20 minutes ago and he insisted that he could not do anything in a tone that was not friendly or professional, my husband kept trying to convince him by telling him that he always threw away the receipts and the manager told him; you should save them all! look at these $200 shoes, I always keep the receipts... there my husband lost patience and told him that he did not have good customer service that it was a shame that he treated him like that and the manager replied : get out fu% & are of here! I can't believe that kind of behavior! it's ridiculous and unacceptable

Pretty decent service.they do need more employees first and foremost. They also need to have more than one register open at times the line gets long.not enough staff but the ones they do have are always very nice the customers.

Compared to other stores in this chain; this store is unkempt. The aisles are always full of stock waiting to be unpacked. There are are usually 3 to 4 employees visible yet only one register is open. The management is poor. I can say this from experience. Everyone seems to be on break all the time every time. The employees smoke right outside the front entrance.

I went there there's boxes all over the floor the four hasn't been mopped or taken care of and it looks like a month at least the line was 15 people long by the manager stayed on the phone arguing with her boyfriend just sad sad story over there on East main Street at family Dollar in Middletown New York honestly they should be shut down or staff should be fired and new staff rehired

Well it wasn’t perfect but it was worth it! Sadly it’s closed now.As of 9/20 it’s open again for business!
