As I turned into the parking lot of Dogwood Farms, my heart raced with a mix of anticipation and a bit of nervousness. These biweekly Sundays with my kids are sacred to me, the rare opportunities I get to make memories with them. Today, I had something special planned: the Christmas experience at Dogwood Farms. The parking lot was bustling with families, but the attendants navigated us smoothly to an available spot. I glanced at my kids in the rearview mirror, their faces lit with excitement. It had been two weeks since I'd seen them last, and I was determined to make every moment count. We walked through the lot, wristbands in place, after getting our tickets. The farm was divided into two parts, connected by a quaint tractor wagon. It felt like stepping into a different world, a winter wonderland of sorts, as we rode between the sections. The staff at Dogwood Farms were just the right amount of helpful. They were there when you needed them but gave you space to enjoy the experience. I appreciated that, especially as a single dad trying to juggle the excitement of a young son and daughter on my own.The atmosphere of the farm was like something out of a storybook. My daughter's eyes widened as she saw snow for the first time – albeit fake, but her wonder made it real enough. We visited the farm animals, her tiny hand in mine, as she chattered excitedly about each one. Then there was my son, a bundle of energy, who found his thrill in a corn mortar cannon. Watching him laugh and play, his face alight with pure joy, was a moment I wished I could freeze in time. Later, he donned a bubble suit, bouncing around like a pinball. His laughter was infectious, and for a moment, I wished we had a bubble field at home, just like he wanted. The day was perfect for a family outing, especially for someone like me, trying to make the most of limited time with my kids. The affordability of the event was a relief; at around $40, it felt like I'd given them a priceless experience without breaking the bank.As the day wound down, I looked at my kids, their faces flushed with the excitement of the day's adventures. This once-a-year event at Dogwood Farms, I realized, would become our tradition, our special thing. It was more than just a Christmas celebration; it was a day where the three of us could forget the constraints of time and distance and just be a family, together and happy.Driving home, with the kids asleep in the back, their smiles lingering even in sleep, I felt a sense of contentment. These Sundays might be few and far between, but today, we made memories that would last us a lifetime. Dogwood Farms hadn't just given us a day of fun; it had given us moments to cherish, a reminder of the simple joys of being together.

It was better than I anticipated. It would be nice if there was a price difference for the kids in my opinion. There are a good amount of activities for the kids. The Hayride line was very long but we enjoyed it. There was a fishy smell you can't miss but it's a farm, so I guess you have to expect certain unpleasant smells at times.

Maples Farm has been sold to new owners, Dogwood Farm. If you have visited Maples Farm in the past, there are several things that have changed. The layout is pretty much the same with a couple of changes, and modifications.1. Parking is now on the other side of the pond on the farm.2. Ticket booth is also on the other side.3. Entrance is $20 which gets you a free hayride, the maze, and jumpy house. All other rides, games, and activities require tickets for purchase at the booth or on the hill (old pumpkin patch).4. Speaking of pumpkin patch, the patch has been relocated to the end of the hayride.5. The animal farm has been relocated to outdoors where the horse use to graze on the hill.6. Speaking of the hill, the orevious owners sold the cows that loved eating carrots along the trail.7. They added more game areas.8. There is a concession stand where the pony ride was held.9. BTW, no more pony rides.10. The haunted house is closed.BONUS: There are A LOT more staff supervising the premise and the hayride is on a smaller wagon.Well, that's it for updates!

We went to Dogwood with the kids tonight for the Winter Wonderland event. What a great experience! The moment we got there the parking attendants were quickly getting vehicles parked. The scenery was beautiful with plenty of lights, decorations, and holiday music. The entrance greets you with "snow" and there is a concession stand. My brother came with us and he is wheelchair-bound. The staff were almost falling over one another to help us get him onto the tractor ride. They could not have been more helpful. He has not been able to go on a tractor ride like that since we were children, so he enjoyed that a lot. There were so many things for the kids to do...bounce houses, snowball fight, petting zoo, smores pits and even more attractions that we didn't get to.This is definitely a great place to spend the evening with the family and kids.

We visit Maples Farm and Garden Center all year-round, for plants of all kinds for our garden projects. The staff is very knowledgeable, often making recommendations we would never have thought of ourselves. We are highly satisfied with the selection and quality of plants we've purchased here.On one occasion, we had an issue with a butterfly bush we purchased. We called them and they told us to bring it back and they would replace it immediately, apologizing for the inconvenience. Maples stands behind what they sell.An annual event for us is to visit Maples in October when they are running their Autumn/Halloween Event. We've been attending this for years, bringing the kids from when they were in a stroller, right up through their teen years. The event is GREAT FUN, with the entire farm all dressed-up in an Autumn and Halloween theme.Hay rides run regularly from the main building up to the "pumpkin patch" on the hill, where you can pick from an ocean of large and small, sweet pumpkins. Along the way, you get a chance to feed carrots to the Scottish Highlander cattle.Behind the main building, the kids can play a variety of games, play in a bounce house, and navigate an AWESOME hay maze. Of course, don't forget to visit the pigs, rabbits, chickens, goats, sheep, cows, and horse in the lower-level barn -AND- the haunted house in the back barn. All GREAT FUN!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This year was very disappointing, it is VERY high priced, only ONE bouncy house ( the amount of kids inside it was crazy,) no more maze, have to pay extra for the activities along hayride trail stop. Pumpkin patch is SUPER small now and no longer up on hill. (which I guess is fine, just Fall time is where you go and talk about where pumpkins grow and enjoy walking the large pumpkin patch finding pumpkins with your family) Tables set up to sell things, instead of more activities.. Hayride takes you to animals, and very few extra kids stuff. They have a ton of room up top to add back a hay maze, and some bouncy houses. That would have been an added plus for sure. We will no longer be returning. I am sure for some families it is great and will enjoy, it was just not for us. They are trying to make big and add so much, sometimes small and better is the way to go, more family friendly and quaint fall experience is what we miss. I feel now you spend a ton of money and lack experience we used to get there. I understand it is advertised as Fall Festival, but advertised bounce house(s) ?playground?

I go here for all my yard needs. They have topsoil gravel and river rock and a lot more by the yard. Isac is always a great help. They also have a great nursery and lots of cool items for the home and yard. Every year around Halloween they do a fall festival with tons of activities for the kids. They hayride and bounce castles are great. They even have pony rides and a duck pond. It makes for a great day with the kids.

Excellent holiday lights! Loved the hayride- farm animals to feed, fires to keep warm. The hot chocolate and walk around was amazing! Highly recommend.

Winter Wonderland great idea but it was very disappointing. Definitely not a 20-dollar event more like 10 dollars. Hayride is about the two-hour wait. I just don't have anything positive to say. Hopefully, in a few years, it will get better. No military discount.

Just left the dogwood Winter Festival and my whole group and I were so impressed!! The admission fee covered each game station and hay ride. they also provided food to feed the goats at no extra cost. The snack station was so good and prices were fair. They had 3 large fire pits to warm up and make s'mores that you can purchase from the snack station. The dance party started at 730 at the movie station and they did a New Year countdown. The fireworks were AMAZING. They have something for every age group. I was so happy I decided to go. STAFF was welcoming and kind and everything was well organized!!!

I was here recently and was very disappointed with everything. The price of admission was extremely high for what they offer (we paid 74 bucks for three people to get in) We jump on the hay ride ready to pick pumpkins to find out they didn't even have pumpkins to pick! We had to go back to a small patch of turf to choose from a small amount of pumpkins by the entrance of the place. They took out the small haunted house, they got rid of feeding the cattle. I would not recommend this place to anyone who wants to spend a day at a pumpkin patch. Go to a different location.

My family and I went to your last day countdown, the fireworks were absolutely amazing. One of the best I've seen around here. My son is only 22 months and he enjoyed all the lights and the little things. He was super calm on the tractor ride. I couldnt have asked for a better night. ....

My family & I have been to the fall, winter & summer festivals at Dogwood Acres and we always have a fantastic time! We recently attended the fall festival and I’m not sure which activity my kids enjoyed the most - the corn cannon, the bumper balls, the inflatable slide, the pig/hotdog races or the petting zoo! It’s a great spot to meet up with friends and let the kids be kids in a fun, safe setting. The food was also great!! Dogwood Acres is the perfect family outing for a day!

Totally not like how it used to be. There was no cows along the hayride to feed, and the pumpkin patch has been moved to two pieces of turf. The main attraction was taking the hayride to the pumpkin patch which is no longer there and it’s a kids playing field. The haunted house is also gone. The hay bale maze was about two feet tall. It’s now more for kids than anything only a kid would be interested in this kind of pumpkin patch. If you’re a teenager trying to relive your fantasy , don’t come here . They have nothing for the adults/teenagers. And the two girls at the front handing out bracelets were not very nice
