I could not recommend Manning's Best Friend German Shepherds more! Mika is our 6th Shepherd. She is so sweet and gentle, just like Jeff described her parents (and like so many reviews I had read). She is incredibly smart and easy to train, she is confident, not nervous in anyway, great with kids and other dogs. So to have such a wonderful temperament AND to have her grandfather be the 2X World Sieger ... I am just over the moon that I found them and her! I also love that Jeff and Jessica are so knowledgeable and don't mind a phone call should any question arise. Their whole family is so sweet, caring and involved with the pups. I think this really helps their social/emotional development. Thank you Jeff and Jessica and all seven of your wonderful kids!

We got our puppy last year at 8 weeks from Jeff and JJ. She is beautiful, bright, intelligent, and has a great temperament. She is a handful like most German Shepherd puppies but she is our 3rd one so we knew this. Jeff and JJ have a passion for their dogs and know what they are doing. I highly recommend them.

Absolutely amazing breeder. We will only be getting our German shepherds from them. We get stopped all of the time with Nico about how handsome and well behaved he is. No one believes he is only 14 months because of how well behaved he is and his size. Also I absolutely loved that they raise all their dogs and puppies around their family. He is the best family dog and an even better protector. He and our 19 month old son are inseparable. The genetics of their dogs and temperaments are absolutely incredible.

My German Shepherd, Buddy, who is 5 years old, has been a wonderful companion and most certainly, the most beautiful dog I have ever owned. People are constantly stopping on the streets to say, what a beautiful dog he is. I researched GSD breeders for a couple of years before getting our puppy. Our top priority was to have a dog who would be great with small children. Our dog is now 3 and we have grandchildren ranging in age from infant to a 4 year old. Hands down, this is the best dog we have ever had around kids! He is amazing; super playful with them yet calm and protective at the same time. I’m positive it’s because of the excellent breeding as well as the fact the puppies spend their first 8 weeks immersed in the wonderful Manning family environment!

We unexpectedly had to put down our 9-year old German Shepherd in early July. We have never been without a German Shepherd so we started looking for a quality dealer for our 5th German Shepherd. After weeks of searching German Shepherd online forums, one breeder kept appearing on most contributor’s list. We called “Manning's Best Friend German Shepherd Puppies” and had a long talk with Jeff Manning. He impressed us with his deep knowledge of German Shepherds and the fact that he not only has 25 plus years of breeding them but also training them. They live on a full-spectrum farm, and the puppies actually live in the house with the 7 children. The puppies are delivered potty trained. When we first got home, the 8-week old puppy actually went to the patio door and scratched it. We have not had any accidents in the house. At this point, we believe it is the most intelligent and best mannered of any of our German Shepherds yet.

Purchased a pup in March for potential breeding. Did a penn hip and hips are at moderate risk for hip dysplasia - therefore not breed-able, contacted breeder for compensation - none forthcoming. Breeder stated in an email I should have done my homework.! Pup however does have an excellent temperament, very clean in crate and intelligent.

When it was time for my parents to get a new GSD we researched a number of breeders and we landed on Manning's Best Friend. My parents picked up their puppy Arturo, 9 years ago and he is an amazing dog. The next year Jeff let me know he had a puppy available for me. Enzo has been the most perfect dog for me, he has an amazing temperament and he was so easy to train. It is amazing to see him and my parents dog with our toddler son, they are so gentle and protective of him. The only thing they don't like is when they are away from him or he is out of their sight! Jeff and JJ have always been available if I had questions and even for some training assistance. They are a great family and breed amazing dogs!
