This place is comfy. Lots of seating. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We didn't get breakfast, although there was several options to choose from. I was in the mood for an iced tea. The woman who helped me made me a strawberry sun brewed iced tea. My wife ordered an iced Carmel macchiato (whatever that means). Both drinks were fantastic. I would definitely recommend trying this place. We came from 40 minutes away to try it, and we will definitely be doing it again.

If I lived in the area, this would be my go-to coffee shop. My breakfast arrived in a timely manner and was hot. The bacon was perfect! The vibe is warm, cozy, and friendly with an abundance of light and a lack of clutter. I appreciated the gluten-free free baked goods. I tried a brownie that had sweet potato in it, and it was wonderful. We were so glad to have stumbled upon this delightful place. If you are biking the Erie Canal trail, I highly recommend you make a stop here!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free breakfast and baked goods are available and delicious 😋

Absolutely loved my 1st visit to this place! The options are plentiful, food quality was great & delicious. The aesthetic gives a cozy vibe & there's books to read! The staff was so nice & upbeat.The lowest reviews here don't make much sense, they are positive in verbiage yet less than 5 stars. Super cute cafe! Great menu selection and fantastic baked goods. I had the french toast sandwich and it was mouthwatering. You select the cheese, meat and vegetables and the offerings are plenty. I chose bacon, mushrooms and banana peppers. I’m still dreaming about it.

This is from a visit on September 20th 2023. I understand everyone else has left a good review and it is great that they enjoyed their visit to the cafe. But my experience was not so.We were served our two chickpea wraps warm, they are traditionally a cold wrap made as an alternative to chicken salad or tuna salad. There were minimal chickpeas and they were thrown in whole. BUT being warmed up I could deal with, why I leave the one star is the mayonnaise was thrown into the wrap and the warmed up which liquified it. The wrap was put in our containers in a puddle of that melted/liquified mayo. The fact that the person that made it knew they had a dripping mess on their hands and still chose to place it into the container is awful. We paid $10 apiece for two soggy disappointing messes. One didn’t actually have all the ingredients included. We will not be back.

I was looking for a gourmet coffee in Medina, but all coffee shops were closed on Monday morning. I found this charming place in Middleport (about 5 miles from Medina), and the experience was very good. The staff is very friendly, and the service is quick. Highly recommend.

A hidden gem in Middleport. Quiet location near the canal that offers meals, drinks (hot, cold & blended), and a charming atmosphere. Each time I've visited I've been super impressed with selection and service. I defiantly recommend.

My local coffee shop that’s just a 2 minute walk from my home.Absolute love it here. All their coffee beverages are made perfectly. Not to mention their food and treats too!Every time I go it’s always quite busy, which is always surprising to see in the tiny town of Middleport. But I understand why! They are top notch! Highly recommend.

A wonderful surprise a few feet off the bike Erie Canal bike path. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond offering to rinse and refill our dusty water bottles. The menu had a nice variety of options for breakfast or lunch, food was fresh & delicious. This was the best lunch stop on the trail that I visited cycling from Buffalo to Albany.

Our group was headed West out of Medina, and we were in need of some coffee. A quick search revealed Alternative Grounds.Not only was their coffee excellent, but everything we ordered was excellent. From breakfast wraps to panni's to cookies, all were excellent. They had outdoor seating as well as a large interior seating area. They occupy more than one space in the downtown area.

I came in off of the bike trail in June tired, hot, and out of water. They were about to close, but the wonderful staff here took the time to make sure that I was cooled down and provisioned for the remainder of my day's ride. I'll bet that the coffee is good, but the kindness was one of my best memories.

What a great find! Got the grown up grilled cheese, husband got the bigger bird. Smoothies, coffee, chai, and other drinks available. Everything was prompt and delicious. Staff was friendly. And they take cards! Really good. We'll be stopping here again when we go through Middleport.

I think their Reuben is one of the best in the area! Plenty of tasty corned beef and just the right amount of kraut, sauce, and cheese. The staff is incredibly friendly and the place is gorgeous! Stop in soon! We also appreciate that their containers are recyclable.

The staff is extremely friendly and give off a friendly vibe. The overall atmosphere with the decor, customer service, and products is warm, and comfortable. Alternative grounds is a nice place to come to get breakfast, or lunch with a nice hot, iced, or frozen coffee or tea. Along with coffee and tea, they have smoothies, pastries, wraps, sandwitches, and more. If you know what you like, they will make one of the best versions of it that youve had. Their food is delectable, and drinks refreshing. I would recommend this caffe.
