I got 2 adorable rabbits from here. We got them separate time but same store. We brought cookie back here and he was very welcoming. He helped us get oreo and he knew the breeds of both rabbits. He takes good care of his animals and knows what he is talking about. 10/10 would recommend coming here if your looking for a small animal or bird.

Very friendly and helpful staff! This has become my go-to aquarium store. Good selection, very knowledgeable. They helped me make sure my tank was ready for fish, before they would sell them to me. Their tanks are always clean and well stocked with healthy fish. I like to shop local, whenever possible. Not a fan of the chain stores and these guys are anything but.I highly recommend.

Wanted to set up a fish tank & a friend told me to go to Middle Island Pets. They were great! I got everything I needed, including healthy fish. Everyone who works there is so nice & helpful. Very honest company! Can't wait to buy more plants & fish in the future. Highly recommend.

Great guy. Tried getting me to save my money by using a tank I already own instead of buying one from him since mine was already better. Super cheap prices and super helpful on everything. Showed us around the whole store and thought us everything we need to know about the fish we bought. I would recommend this store to anyone. Definitely needs more people to buy from them

Absolutely the best place to get a new addition to your family!! They really care about you having the best experience, and your pets being happy. When it was 11pm and i was worried about my guinea pigs, and the store was closed; they answered in 3min to my text!!! I have never had that happen, and im so very grateful! Thank you middle island pets for my new family members, and being apart of the whole experience. Im so grateful

I’ve had guinea pigs for over seven years. This store doesn’t know how to take care of their guinea pigs. The piggies in the store had no hay of any kind. ☹️ Piggies need a constant supply of hay to prevent their gut from shutting down. The man working in the store did not seem to care at all about learning to take care of them properly; he just got defensive.4/30/21 EDIT: I was the one who told you about the constant supply of hay. Lolol You told me you give them hay as a treat, which is not proper care...

Friendly staff. A great place to buy a fish, bird, or bunny rabbit in Suffolk county! They also have a nice supply of pet food including dog food and cat food!

Edit: The owner had apologized for having the wrong hours listed on google and called back to help me which was super nice of them. Because the hours on google were wrong, the times I stopped there and thought no one was there was due to them not being open yet.I’ve stopped by there business twice during their listed business hours and they’ve been closed. I have tried calling them multiple times to see if they are there so I don’t drive and waste my gas to see that they’re closed and to see if they have a certain item I’m looking for and no one & I mean no one, ever answers the phone. How are supposed to run a business if you never answer and then are just randomly closed on days when it says on google that you are open.
