My parents took all of their pets to MVAH, starting before I was born, and now I bring my own! The staff at MVAH are phenomenal - professional, kind, and knowledgeable. I have recommended their office to many friends, family members, and neighbors and will continue to sing their praises. It’s not uncommon for them to fit me in the same (or next) day when I call about concerns. I’m happy to wait when needed, and have made the drive even when I lived 30 minutes away!

I have been going to Mendon Village Animal Hospital for nearly 25 years with multiple dogs. They staff are the most friendly and caring people who treat your pet as their own. Even though my dogs only go in for year checks, they always remember my dogs. I could have moved to another clinic years ago that would be closer to home, but the doctors and staff are the reasons I have stayed and travel to get the best overall care for my pets!

Dr Eddy took great care of my 11yr old Cassie, golden retriever. Cassie stopped eating 3 days ago, bloody stools. Listless and not wanting to take her daily walk. Dr Eddy jumped right into action. He did an ultrasound of abdomen and bladder, CBC, SMA7, and urinalysis. Dr Eddy was so professional. I recommend anyone to take their dog or cat to Dr. Eddy or her group.Gabby did at excellent job taking phone information asking just the right questions about Cassie’s health. She got us an appointment in less than two hours.

My dog had an ear infection and I called every vet in town. No one could see her for weeks or even months. When I called Mendon Village Animal Hospital, the receptionist was very helpful, finding me a cancellation so that I could have my dog seen by a vet right away. The building was clean and the people kind. The vet took plenty of time with me explaining my dog’s condition and having tests done. The medications have been helping a ton and the issues are almost cleared up now. Upon leaving, I expected a bill that was hundreds of dollars more than it was. Later that day, I started receiving texts from the hospital making sure I didn’t have any questions and walking me through the method of medicating my dog. I so appreciate the kindness and help that was shown to me at this hospital and will continue to come back with both my animals.

We have been taking our Havanese to Mendon Animal Hospital for six years. Every single person there is so kind and compassionate. They treat Toby like he’s their own pet. They are always really great about getting our little man in quickly with anything that might pop up. Not easy to do during a pandemic. They are so helpful and responsive with any questions. I’ve never felt pressured to do anything. They explain everything and include me in formulating the best plan of care. The office has handled COVID extremely well with precautions to keep everyone safe. I trust them 100% with our fur baby!

These folks were recommended to me by several other pet parents. I drive 30min just to go to them. The reasons are countless, but by far the biggest reason is the quality if care they give and top of the line support to pet parents. They are all very professional and friendly but especially go the extra mile for you and your pet.

Having had animals (dogs and cats) all my life (50+ years), I've dealt with a variety of veterinarians and veterinary hospitals. During that time, I'd never been 'impressed' by a single one ... Until now! From the moment I walked in, I knew something was different ... in a good way. The staff, from the receptionist to the vet were caring, kind, considerate and genuinely concerned for the welfare of my cat. Dr. Charlotte was EXCEPTIONAL on all levels ... She listened, not just heard me ... Taking the time (30 minutes) in order to understand and diagnose "Lily's" condition while asking questions, answering mine and explaining what she was thinking and why. My only 'regret'? That Dr. Charlotte's "bedside manner" isn't found more often or with most physicians in our (human) healthcare system. She would have make an AWESOME physician!!! Thank you Dr. Charlotte!!!

I absolutely love this office. Everyone is incredibly friendly and shows they care about my cats and dogs. They've been really patient with my dogs' fears. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is they've partnered with Covetrus for prescriptions and it is the most unreliable company I've ever encountered. I prefer to order my cats Rx food through Chewy (I've never experienced the supply chain issues with Chewy that Covetrus seems plagued with) and that requires a couple of extra steps with the office but it's worth knowing I'll actually get their Rx on time.

I have been a client for many years and I love them as my vet. The only downside is being able to get an appointment if you have an emergency. There have been a few instances where they wanted me to take my pets to the emergency services and I dont feel comfortable taking my pets there.

Always fantastic! We have seen at the Drs here and they are all so friendly and kind. We just recently had to put our dog down and they sent us multiple condolences. They have been great to also get us in quickly for appointments when we have needs arise with our animals!

I've been hesitant to update my review until today because we used to have such great experiences here, but lately the care doesn't seem the same. One of our dogs is very reactive in vet settings, and we had a very poor experience with him recently that set him back pretty far in our muzzle training.In terms of the general care for our easier animals, they've typically been good, though I do agree with a few other reviews that it is pricey. And, to be fair, some of the staff is very good with shy/reactive dogs. However, the care here just isn't what it used to be, and the customer service has noticeably dropped off in recent visits/phone calls.

i have never dealt with a more compassionate, friendly, group of people. While every staff member is professional, the vets are wonderful. it seems that they are able to hire vets with similar personality type: intelligent, patient, and understanding. They take the time to explain things, without rushing through. They listen to my questions and concerns without sounding impatient. Recommend without hesitation!

I have to say that Dr. Gluckman and Dr. Reichenstein began an animal care practice that was the best that I ever worked with. After a challenging period as Stu, and Alan transitioned into semi retirement two amazing vets emerged to run Mendon Village. Dr. Eddy and Dr. Willardson are incredibly talented and empathetic.

Though Mendon Village Animal Hospital is 35 minutes from my house, I choose to make the drive because of the excellent standard of care my dog receives. The doctors are knowledgeable, approachable and honest. They spend a great deal of time in the examination room diagnosing your pet, explaining what's happening, answering questions and thinking through options to ensure that your pet gets what they need and you feel comfortable making decisions about their care. Every individual at the practice treated my dog and myself with warmth, patience and care. The doctors followed up more than once after a visit where my dog was sick to check on her and confirm that the course of treatment was working. I would highly recommend Mendon Village Animal Hospital!

Not only are the vets very knowledgeable and professional but they make you and your pet feel like there is no one else there except you. Everyone is friendly, kind and professional. My dogs actually play and beg for treats in the exam room, showing they are relaxed and trusting even though they are getting poked and prodded. EXCELLENT! I have been bringing my dogs to Mendon for 12 years. They are always loving, kind and take great care of them. When my Emma got a rare autoimmune disease they were excellent in diagnosing and helping find the best way to manage her illness. They went above and beyond to check on her and follow up to make sure she was doing okay with the treatment. I cannot say enough good things about the care you receive from all the doctors and staff. They are excellent, knowledgeable vets who really love animals.

I recently got my first puppy, on my own; I turned to ask my friends who their vets were. My friend recommended Mendon Village Animal Hospital, she has a pupper who is very well loved and cared for; I absolutely trusted her. I was not disappointed at the first appointment. Staff was friendly, concise and excited to see my pup! All of my questions were answered, we got a welcome bag, and they followed up on my pet’s care the next day. Will definitely recommend Mendon Village Animal Hospital to friends and family.

This is a large busy vet office. The front desk staff are nice. There are shelves lined with treats, toys and accessories for grooming. The waiting room is one large room with limited seating. I have been to other veterinary clinics where dogs are separated to one side; little dogs in are in one area and cats are on the other. Leaving a separate space for the really big dogs. Not so here. An large aggressive dog almost left its owners arms! Quite scary.They is a smaller area for cats. The vet I saw is nice & great at explaining things. This office has their own pharmacy staff. Josette & Megan in the pharmacy are super nice.

I love Mendon Village Animal Hospital. I have had all my animals under their care. We have lost two dogs to old age and they were so tender with there last moments of life. We also lost a cat to liver cancer at 14 years of age and they were so good at explaining what our options were. I have another golden retriever and she just loves going to the doctor. All of our animals live very full life's and I feel that it is because of their good care.

We've been taking our dogs to MVAH since 2001. We've had the very best experience with all the doctors and staff. These are some of the most caring and decent people I've ever met. I wouldn't take our dogs to just any veterinary practice. This group of people are now my friends as well as the guardian of our dog's well being. The compassion and personal care shown to us and our dog each time we are there goes above and beyond anything I normally would have expected. I would recommend MVAH HIGHLY to anyone looking for an extraordinary veterinary practice to take care of their pets.

Our family has taken our pets to Mendon Village Animal Hospital since it opened in the 1970's. Since we've known them for so long (40 years is pretty long!) they seem like a part of our extended family.Over the years we've worked with all of the Veterinarians in his practice and I can't say enough about the loving and expert care each has given our beloved companions. They treat every pet as if they were their own. The staff is friendly and helpful in every way imaginable---they go above and beyond. They've even sent my pets get well cards after surgery and on several occasions even a little toy.I have always appreciated that they give you a selection of treatment options and explain the pros and cons for each. You never feel pressured to choose an option.I believe that they have very reasonable prices and give you accurate estimates when your pet needs to have certain procedures done. When one of my pets had to have extensive dental surgery when I was out of work they helped me spread out the payments so I could afford it.Besides being one of the four practices in the Finger Lakes region to be AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) accredited, they stay at the leading edge of veterinary medicine. In addition, they have specialists that come in for consultation when necessary, such as radiologists or oncologists. Consequently, I'm confident my pet is getting the very best care available.Bottom line: I can't imagine going anywhere else.
