Clean store, as with most homegoods the finds are hit or miss but this one generally has good stuff. Staff is friendly. Only complaint is the aisles are so tight and hard to navigate. This only gets worse with weekend traffic.

First time having a bad experience...I found a steel garbage can on sale originally $100.00 got it for $50.00...when I got to the register Karen inspected the can and gave the manager the eye like get over here she switched prices and I asked her was there a problem and she told me all red tag items had to be cleared by manager..I knew that was a lie and so did she...because she got upset and walked away and wouldn't ring me up...so here are photos from the Commack Homesense where they have there cans on clearance to. The manager wasn't called regarding my red tag purchase...and her name is really Karen at the Melville store...be careful when you purchase red tag items at the Melville Homegoods. NICE STORE THOUGH...fully stocked..over stocked.

While I find many fabulous finds at HomeGoods, certain stores get so picked apart that they can't restock quickly enough. I fear the same with this new location. Seems that going early in the morning when the store doesn't look like a runaway shopping cart ripped through the aisles, is the best option. Rugs, wall art, mirrors, lamps, and small tables are their strengths. Textiles-bedding, larger case pieces, and discontinued kitchen/housewares are their weakness. Overall, you can easily and stylishly furnish a room with just a few trips to the various locales.

I really like the selection here. It may be my imagination, but this place seems to have a smaller customer crowd here, so it always seems that the aisles and the shelves are more in order. I think I see more of the selection like this. I go out of my way to go here rather than one that is closer to me.

06may ,we went there on their opening day.Its brand new building next to Bertucci's pizza.A very big showroom and all types of home goods available for your need, all the aisles were nicely stocked . and the whole staff is very nice and helpful.They are asking every one, if they need any help. Rates re very reasonable. Bought a very nice clean with a goof reasonable price.Good luck to the home goods management. will shop again.Store is very clean and easily visible from rt 110 and parking is not a issue. Lots of Halloween stuff available.

When I need to go to HomeGoods, I prefer this location, over others nearby. It seems to be bigger, with more merchandise, and also feels cleaner and more spacious.

My wife and I Bought 3 storage food containers from this location yesterday. Upon returning home, we realized that ONE of the items was damaged. It was on the bottom of the container. I returned the next day with the unopened package and asked if I could exchange the item as we did not realize the $11 item was slightly damaged. I explained that we have a new born at home and due to Lack of sleep we did not realize when we bought the item that it was damaged on the underside. Unfortunately, they stated they were unable to do anything about it . NO refund , exchange or store credit. As a parent of a new born child, I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the lack of empathy and ridiculousness of not being able to return an item with its original packaging that had a hidden area of damage. We kept the other 2 food containers that were not damaged…we were only asking to return the one that had damage. EXTREMELY disappointed in the lack of empathy and unreasonableness of this location and employees. Perhaps corporate can evaluate this location . There are MULTIPLE items on the FLOOR that are damaged…I will not be returning to this location. Shame on them.

Though I admittedly frequently go into Home Goods with no specific intent in mind, this particular location tends to let me score on actual "home accent" pieces...two different lamps in the past, and an interesting accent table for next to a bedroom chair my most recent trip. Love Home Goods.

First time visiting this spot since a coworker of mine spoke highly of this establishment. I gave 4 stars due to their tight spaces between aisles. There's alot of home decor, bath, bed, and kitchen items available. I wasn't looking for anything in particular just wanted to window shop.

This is the one store I can spend hours in. What a great eclectic selection of merchandise they have. I am a shopper who knows what I want when I go into a store. Don't have what I want...I'm gone. Home Goods merchandising strategy is great. Put a hundred (maybe less) different items on a shelf and they have captured your attention. Retail is all about getting the customer in your store. You spend all that money in advertising to get them in, now, you have to keep them interested in staying. Good customer service, selection, prices and not waiting in long lines is what makes them (and me) stay and come back.

Lots of seasonal decor in addition to an array of gift items, home decor, good selection of kitchen gadgets and pots and pans etc. Bath section is nice too; have an array of frames, pictures too. Major downside is that items can be scattered all over the store, but I blame that mostly on the patrons.

This store discriminates against older workers and uses fraudulent hiring practices. My wife was hired to be a coordinator of a team in the high ticket items. She was hired to manage a team of employees to create displays of the most expensive goods in the store to make them sell quickly. She was hired away from a job she had had for more than 10 years.Upon arrival at the store, the fraud was made clear. Most of the day she was called away from her job to do menial manual labor such as unloading a truck, checking prices, cashier or carrying out heavy items to customers cars. She is over 60!After a day spent doing everyone else’s work, management would criticize her for not getting the displays done. This was quite unfair and discriminatory as she was hired to be a team coordinator but there was no team.Incompetent management intentionally understaffs the store to perpetuate the employment fraud.

This was my first visit to this Homegoods location and will certainly not be my last. The manager at this location, Regina, was simply amazing to deal with. Regina made this experience a great one and was extremely courteous, professional and very helpful. You don't get this too often. I can tell she puts alot of care into her work and has trained the team at this location to follow her example.Kudos to Regina for representing the brand exceptionally well and making this shopping experience one worth mentioning.I will certainly be returning to this location.- Michael and Tasha
