I have adopted 3 beautiful girls from kitten angels, one being my first and only foster fail! I have been volunteering for a few years and fostering for one. Before that, we adopted 2/3 of our girls from kitten angels. Seeing this organization from all angles, I know how much hard work, love, time, patience, money, and care goes into this. People are busy no matter what, we have personal lives on top of saving these wonderful cats and kittens. The time and love each kitten angels volunteer, foster, Petsmart store organizer, and so on put into this every single day is beyond words. I love kitten angels because I know they care. We care. Judie who runs kitten angels is a remarkable woman. She is a senior who handles an incredible amount of work, along with many other volunteers, who put in an enormous amount of time, work and resources in as well.They have been doing this for over 45 years, so take their advice and do what they say when you call.Judy is so busy, she may not have time to sugarcoat your instructions and guidance, as I see from some reviews people need to be spoken to very gently or would like cat valet service from a volunteer…!!This woman has no free time on her hands, and just gets to the root of the problem and tries to handle quickly and swiftly. Keep in mind she can be in the middle of a rescue (she rescued 15 cats/pregnant kittens with me) and still answered every call - she does not give up on helping these innocent souls. She is so busy and is dealing with dozens of different situations at any given moment. Be patient!You must bear with her and not judge her harshly. She is doing her best to try and help everybody but you also need to do your part, the two women I met are angels and I’m so grateful that they are helping get these cats caught and adopted through their rescues every day… Please consider volunteering and helping these ladies. They always need help, and there are not enough rescue organizations out there, as people think. So the few organizations out there are completely overwhelmed!Btw- for the people with negative reviews, it seems they are based on a quick conversation.. put yourself in their shoes, try volunteering or witnessing what they do and you’ll see the work and devotion these ladies commit themselves to every single day. Shame on people for judging before getting to know them and their good deeds, that they don’t get paid for!!!They volunteer all their time from rescuing to running the administration of the nonprofit, to vetting adoptive parents, tophysically catching and transporting these cats to vets, fosters, etc…God bless them and their devotion and love for these cats.Sincerely,Lori Brown

I have adopted 2 cats from Kitten Angels in the last 2 years and they are a wonderful organization! They do a full background check which is important to not adopt out to someone who will not properly care for the cat. And they are very knowledgeable about each cat they have, and they care about them deeply and want to see each cat go to the home that is the right fit for both the them and their human. I love Kitten Angels and highly recommend them.❤️😻

Kitten Angels is a wonderful organization!! I’ve never met so many people devoted to the quality care of homeless cats. They are so thorough in their veterinary care for the cats, and they do a great job at matching cats with the right families to suit their needs. So grateful for Kitten Angels for saving so many cats and helping them to find their forever homes!!

I keep trying this but it won't post. I got my sweet little tripod Lenny (Lennox) from Kitten Angels. I got him right after the end of my 38 year marriage. He has saved my life, he has brought such joy into my life. I was so very lonely. Missing a limb has not slowed him down one bit. He has his zoomies with my other rescue and climbs to the top of the cat tree and sometimes the drapes! His foster mom took care of him post surgery which was so helpful for me as a senior. Sometimes those more overlooked kitties have the biggest hearts. Thank you again Kitten Angels, you do a wonderful job ‼🐾🐱I want to add pictures but that is when I keep losing the post so I will try after I post the review for the contest. I hope this is the correct place. Thanks again‼💕It will not let me add photos, when I try it deletes the whole written review. I wish it could work so you could see how great he is doing. Sorry!

We adopted a beautiful pair of bonded sisters. When we chose them they needed more time with thier foster mom before they were both ready to come home. I loved the fact that they put the girls first, making sure that would be OK to have a new life elsewhere. It shows how much they care by putting them first, and it was so worth the extra time they needed. They are the absolute best, and we couldn't be happier. Thank you KA for all you do! 🐾 We highly recommend, they are an amazing organization.

0 stars. My girlfriend adopted a kitten and unbeknownst to us it had herpes. Talked to numerous vets and some say its contagious some say its not. So we returned the kitten to prevent our other cats from getting sick and in the process of returning the lady was extremely rude and disrespectful for their inconvenience and we didn't get a dime back of the $175. Never again and definitely don't recommend. However, I do hope the cat is able to find a loving home, where they are aware of the concerns before adopting.

I have been viewing a lot of kittens young or old looking for a furever homes. The kitten angels been getting lots of homes and hopefully help! I have my cat and only allow 1 pet.I share when a new kitty is available to adopt. I feel sending a word out would help might assist you to find pet parent. Ok thank you.

First learned of this group when our church did a pet drive. Through the drive we were able to provide food and more for the kittens and cats. Amazing organization with many caring loving people running it and fostering.

My family and I are trying desperately to adopt a kitten and although I understand the process, no one seems to want to work with us. We are a very loving family and we just want to adopt a new family member. There is only one number to call and the person on the other end seems very uninterested in helping us get this process complete. If there are other agencies out there, please respond!

If I could give 0 stars I would. After rescuing a cat I had been feeding sice the Summer, I reached out to them. I just pray the kittie they came to get is taken care off. The Volunteer, Debbie, was extremely rude on the phone and in person!! I do not recommend! Find another rescue, Please!

So thankful for Kitten Angels and all that they do! We first met this little guy in October 2017, he was only 2 weeks old. We found him abandoned in an industrial park. After a quick vet visit he stayed with us overnight, we were up every 2 hours to bottle feed him. For two months, Kitten Angels fostered him, they bottle fed him and kept him safe until he was ready to come home to us. Without Kitten Angels, we wouldn't have been able to keep our little Gizmo. He's now 3 years old, and he's wild, spunky, snuggly and oh so loving. Thank you Kitten Angels for all you do!

I can’t speak to the other reviews about Judy, but our kitty from kitten angels was (and still is) amazing. I contacted them on Facebook after seeing the cat I wanted in pet supplies plus, and within a few hours I was set up to meet with the foster the next day. At the time my cat only had one of the 3 distemper shots. I paid the $100 adoption fee and I was then able to contact kitten angels and get the last two distemper shots at their pet store clinics for no additional charge. So from my experience I would recommend them.

I really dislike leaving negative reviews, however in this instance, I do feel it necessary. As a recent review stated, the lady running the organization - Judie, is verbally abusive and runs the organization in a dictator-like fashion. I actually tried to respectfully address it with her and got removed from the private group in return. The lack of integrity and accountability is very unfortunate. There seems to be more concern with her maintaining power than about what's best for the cats and kittens. There are additional/specific details I will withhold from sharing. However, I do have to say there are some AWESOME/AMAZING individual fosters and volunteers within the organization. It is again, unfortunate that the one in charge would rather demean those individuals than encourage an environment of supportive fosters and volunteers. My advice would be if you have the opportunity to support those specific individuals and the cats/kittens, you absolutely should - but I would think twice about involving yourself with anything to do with Judie. I also always take it as a red flag when a page on Facebook disables their reviews feature..just saying. Is it really too much to ask for leaders of an organization to remain in their integrity and be accountable for their actions?!? I don't think it is.. At the end of it all, at least I got the two sweetest little kittens out of the experience <3

I've adopted two kittens (now 7 years old) through Kitten Angels. A few years ago when I found a stray they assisted me through the foster process and her vet expenses were covered through them. Don't shop, adopt!!

After searching months for the perfect cat I found my Honeybee. Kitten Angels has committed foster parents who get to know each cat and describe them accurately. Honey has been everything I hoped for and more. Thank you Jen G. for taking care of this sweet cat and giving me the pleasure of adopting her. I would recommend adopting from a fostering program over a shelter, it was a much more pleasant experience and an easier transition for the cat involved.

I tried to adopt a kitten and I kept getting the run around. I find it pestilent that people rave about the owner and excuse the rudeness by saying it’s hard for her. There is no excuse. People are genuinely trying to bring kittens home and get their hopes snuffed. Maybe she gets off from the power of rejecting people for no good reason knowing people rely on her to get the kittens they will never see but are falsely promised. Ridiculous. No stars should be given.

Judy, the lady in charge, is an awful, mean and truly insane person. She verbally abused me over the phone. It's an unorganized rescue. During their adoption clinics, they leave the cats in small dog crates with a small box of barely any litter and a tablespoon of water for hours. Judy scares the adopters by telling them if they don't buy a certain brand of food, their cat/kitten WILL DIE which scares potential and affirmed adopters. I've witnessed this first hand. She verbally abuses her volunteers and fosters and has no bedside manner nor any communication skills. The prices are over rated, the humane society is better or any other cat rescue. They don't take care of their animals especially if they are sick. They are all hard to get a hold of for days. I would not recommend this rescue to get any animal , as a person who saw behind the scenes, they mock adopters and make up information about cats that isn't true. They do not know what they're doing. Go to Mohawk Hudson Humane Society or another cat rescue in the capital district. They aren't worth the time.

Kittens available for adoption are sick and unattended to. Water bowls filled with fur, litter, and disentgrated pieces of kibble. The litter boxes needed serious scooping. Several kittens had runny green eyes and noses which I was told is “due to stress”. The kitten I adopted had fleas, worms, and a botfly resulting in a $300+ vet bill on top of the $125 adoption fee. The director of Kitten Angels was rude and unsympathetic. Instead of being able to enjoy time with my new kitten it’s been flea baths, vet trips, meds, and flea treating the home. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I highly discourage adopting from this agency as they are terribly lacking in standards, integrity, and ethics. My heart breaks for the kittens still in their care.

Kitten Angels are not looking to have kitten adopted. I went to pet finder for a baby kitten found him his name was mango it did not say in his biography that he had to be with other kitten just got a email back after a few days saying he can't be adopted begin the only kitten in my home. that's sound crazy to me never herd that before you should put that in his biography hope he get a good home sad a little hopefully I don't have to uses this two place to fine any animals in the future

I reached out to a member named Mary lee de luca-jaworski and I received a very UNPROFESSIONAL response. When asked if she had room for a stray cat we have captured on our cameras every now and again. She replied saying she didn't have room but gave me numbers and names of those who could. Which was great. Mary lee then asks if we put food out for the cat. I said "no because we don't want it to stay around" and she replied with(her words from fb messenger: "That’s cool you can’t feed the cat. Cruel." I have bears, raccoons and coyotes in my area. I also have livestock, that I would wish to not put in danger of predators. I thought she would help, but was rude in the end. Any kitten angels members that need proof, I have the conversation still.

The folks at Kitten Angels of Mayfield NY are truly heaven sent. They are an amazing group of individuals that take on an enormous job daily in caring for all the stray cats and kittens in our area. By getting them the medical care, food, shelter and love they need, they make it so easy for them to get adopted into a loving family. 🐾😊🐱❤

I've dealt with Judie for years, and she may be a bit scary to talk to at first but for good reason, it's not easy doing what she does. She was there for me when I needed her after I found a kitten dying on my porch, she stepped up and saved her life. She, to me, is an absolute amazing lady with a heart of gold. I would like to see anyone else step in her shoes. The fosters and volunteers are all incredible. I just thank God that there are people like them all who give so much to help. As far as pricing, go to any vet and get a cat fixed, shots, wormed, deflead all for $100, good luck with that. From the bottom of my heart I thank Judie and have nothing but total respect for her.

After the passing of my cat a couple years back, I decided to open up my home to a new furry friend. I did a lot of looking around, and finally came across a beautiful baby for adoption through Kitten Angels at Petco.I read through the reviews and saw more than my fair share of negative reviews, it worried me a bit, but I chose to go forwards with the process.I filled out an application, left a voicemail, and texted the number. Through the website I saw it could take up to 48 hours to get a reply, no big deal. After about 3 days, i tried the number again, no answer.I decided to try the number on their website, to my relief, someone answered. She wasn’t very friendly, but let me know to wait a few more days.Again, no big deal, I understand people can be busy. Though from there, I still hear nothing, I call, text, and message their Facebook page, to still no response for almost a week. By the time the weekend rolls around, I find out by returning to Petco, that the kitty I have been looking at has already been adopted.I am extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism, customer service, and diligence to return messages to people looking to give a kitty a loving new homes. Even a message to let me know the kitty I was looking at has been adopted would have been better then finding his spot empty and his information card gone.

A young cat came to my back deck. It was very thin. I fed it for a week and called Kitten Angels to come and take the kitty and they came the next day. They will have it fixed and vaccinated..Very nice organization..Thanks

As a foster this program helps so many homeless, neglected, cats/kittens in need. Solely ran by volunteers everyone involved do their best to provide the care love and attention each cat needs to find their forever home. Kitten Angels is always helpful and willing to help people who are in need when it comes to spay/neutering their cats. It never hurts to ask.
