Very impressive market, the produce department was the largest of any store I know with more choices of fresh vegetables and fruits that were at prices that beat any Riverhead shops. I found the employees and checkout staff very friendly. I brought home enough dinner with 4 people for $28.00.

This place is horrible!! Unfriendly nasty rude and very overpriced I would rather go to king kullen where it’s a pleasant place to shop without feeling uncomfortable. The manager is not considerate and the staff are not well trained. I wouldn’t recommend this store go handy pantry it’s better and friendlier atmosphere. Also take notice how if you ask someone a question no one wants to help you and everyone works on arranging cans and food to face a certain direction. Instead of helping people they’re just a bunch of very odd workers who obviously are there for the pay check. Beware of the deli. My kids got sick from the cold cuts.

The quality of the produce is often terrible. We live about a mile away, but always choose to grocery shop in Riverhead where the prices are cheaper, the quality is much better and there are more selections.

Clean brightly lit store with friendly service. Large selection of items. Newly renovated ! They have a large selection of South and Central American foods and spices. Large selection of olives and other antipasta items at other end of bar. Large deli and bakery on site. Wide selection of beers and cases available for sale. They have most everything one needs to host a summer BBQ party.

Store was neat and staff was friendly but prices are HIGH and selection was kind of limited for certain items given the size of the store. The olive bar looks extremely questionable, like it hasn’t been replenished in a VERY long time. The olives were not the right color which is alarming considering they’re basically a preserved food…. I probably won’t be back unless I’m in a pinch.

Good place for shopping and getting the things you need. The supermarket is well stocked and the wine shop is fantastic with many local wines.We looked for the Starbucks, but it should have closed in the meantime.

It's getting better. I won't buy meat or chicken. The butcher told me that chicken always has a funny smell. THAT IS WRONG. fresh chicken does not have a smell. I bought so many chicken there;every time rotten. They don't store it at the rt. Temperature. It should be colder than 50°. I was a food inspector in the United States Army. I found a wonderful butcher in wading river. My Butcher. Wonderful People

Employees are nice & friendly however their management is absolutely disgusting. While not directing to me, as a customer while checking-out I could not stand returning here again. I have overheard a woman who claims to be their supervisor/book-keeper spew vile words mocking a fellow disabled employee calling her 'autistic & stupid'. The lack of respect they have for their employees is horrific. I've seen 'help wanted' signs occasionally due to the quitting rate of this business, it's obvious they don't treat their employees with respect and re-use re-cycle people who are less fortunate. After 5 years of staying a loyal customer I no longer go here to support fund this business, I feel a lot better driving up to King Kullen which is a few miles further than to support these vile people. Don't even get me start with their low-quality foods and over-priced tags. DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR EVERYONE DRIVE A FEW MILES TO KING KULLEN OR ANY OTHER SUPER MARKET! TRUST ME, IT'S NOT WORTH GOING HERE!

No longer going to this grocery store. Only reason we even went was because it is closest to where I live. The staff they have work the registers are some of the most depressed and rude people I've come across. Mind you, I am referring to the older employees at those registers. The younger ones are generally nice. That doesn't help the anxiety I feel having to wait in line for one of these unfriendly, grumpy people. Just today, when my mother and I were paying with our debit card, the machine wasn't prompting us to put in a PIN, so instead of restarting the machine this lady has the nerve to say, "Your mother has no idea what she's doing". I'm so tired of shopping here.So ultimately, go the next town over to King Kullen, or drive into Riverhead for Target or Stop & Shop.

I just called the store to ask what most would consider to be a trivial question. The phone was answered by the manager Bill. I proceeded to ask my question about the garlic bread in foil that I purchased earlier in the day. He went out of his way, literally, going over to the bakery section himself to check out the foil bag, to answer my question. I was treated with such courtesy, I was sorry to say, somewhat shocked. I will now go out of my way to shop there to return the kindness shown me. When I was there earlier, staff went out of their way to greet me, also, now that I think about it. Very pleasant experience!

I love my lil' market!! They have specialty items that I can't find in any of the bigger stores in riverhead. They have decent sales weekly and I especially love the butcher,they make individual serving size cuts of chicken,pork and hamburgers.I just got two 1/3lb burger patties for $2.86!! So $1.43 a burger,how can you beat that? Also it's always steady,never jam packed.

Place got off to a rocky start when Waldbaums left and key food took it over, but the place had been fully renovated. Good selection of cheeses, beer, big deli and prepared foods section, some local produce available...seafood section is operated by buoy one and apparently same menu available. Giving this place a second chance and liking it.

In general the staff is super rude here. The store is doing a better job of offering organic and a wider range of products but the employee culture is off. I’m not at all surprised to read that the employees are treated poorly and treat one another poorly bc they definitely treat customers poorly too.

Hands down, This Supermarket has the BEST Meat display, I brought 2 sándwiches and allot of the deli food. However the últimament LOVE was the Spinach n Cheese Quishe😋😋😋😋😋 I dance around my house wishing I brought the Chedder and Cheese Quishe 💃🏾. I can't wait to go back in October to see MY MOMMA. And this supermarket. This time I will take pictures of what I brought. Happy shopping Eastenders😋💃🏾😉

It's disgusting, there is always rotted produce, meats and dairy products on the shelves. If you check the expiration dates you will find lots of things days to weeks passed the expiration date. More than half of their products are overpriced. As for the employees you will hear every reson why thier life sucks in the few minutes it takes to check out. Very disappointing supermarket I won't be back.

I'm updating my review since they renovated and giving four stars. I live on the North fork and have my loyal and nostalgic connections to IGA and King kullen, but I have to admit this is easily the nicest looking market on the North fork now. The store is very well lighted, cashier aisles are wide and approachable, there's a nice salad bar, an appealing produce section, all aisles are labeled, and lots of prepared food options. You can order menu items from the seafood section which is run by the buoy one restaurant but I can't comment on the quality as I have not yet tried it. I think they're still missing a public bathroom, and I'm not crazy about how most of their sales require you to buy multiple items, i.e. 3 for 7 but you must buy three... I also like how I don't find myself walking into employees stocking the shelves constantly.9 months ago ⭐⭐They have a few items that king kullen and iga don't have, but it's been months since they took over waldbaums and the majority of their aisles are still not labeled. There are some very nice employees there, and some that seem ridiculously unhappy to be there. I've also noticed a number of items past expiration in the dairy section.

A new supermarket aiming to please. They have separate areas for organic and conventional groceries. An innovation for shoppers is a fresh fish store within the Mattituck Marketplace where your fish dinner can be cooked for you while you shop. Do you know any other grocery market that can compare with this one?

I just read from someone on Facebook that you have jacked up all your prices during this especially trying time for everyone!Example: Eggs are between $5.00 and $8.00+!!!Price gouging is illegal but in this case during this horrible pandemic, it’s IMMORAL!!! Do you realize that people are out of work?!? You should be ashamed of yourselves!!!
