Magic Fountain is the place to go for your Ice Cream fix. The choices of flavors are exhausting. It makes for a tough decision. Especially when your only passing through once in a while. Do not let the long line deter you from getting your ice cream. It is well worth the wait. The servers are competent and quick. So do not pass this establishment up when opportunity knocks. 👍🗽👍🗽

I passed Magic Fountain on my way to dinner, and my friend remarked, "They have the best ice cream!" So after dinner away we go. And by now it was after 8 pm the line to get in was around the building. I peeked in the windows and could see chalkboards listing a variety of homemade ice creams, ice cream sundaes, milkshakes, soda and more. They also have soft serve, sugar-free, and frozen yogurt to temp your discerning palate. Kudos to the staff here. The line moved swiftly, reducing the wait for a sweet indulgence. And it was well worth any minute. The soft serve is creamy, had a delicious chocolate flavor. My friends enjoyed Butter Pecan and Black Raspberry. So the North Fork has more than wineries attracting a crowd. Next trip stop in for ice cream at Magic Mountain!

Delicious and prices can't be beat! The summer sunset was amazing!!! Lots of flavors and they are great at listing what's in each for dietary concerns and even have vegan options. Would love to come back next time I'm on the North Fork. Staff is also friendly and wonderful girls!

Drove by the area to get to the sunflower maze. Made a note of the crowd as we were passing by. On our way back, stopped here for some delicious homemade ice cream - available in unique flavors, created and served with care. Growing up in India, Rooh Afza was a summer staple - was pleasantly surprised to see it featured as a flavor (and on their banner)!

This is the best ice cream in Suffolk County! The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly, and can whip up any flavor you want if it’s not on the menu. They do birthday cakes as well! Doggy treats? They got them! If you’re in the mood for ice cream. This is the only place to visit.

Always super friendly, will let you taste any flavors you want...which you won't be able to resist, because there are just too many delicious options to choose from! Definitely go for the large "banana boat" style--no actual banana included, but you get three huge scoops in a plastic container...perfect for sharing on-the-go!

No because why was the server such a passive aggressive. Whoever was working today afternoon was absolutely ridiculous. My experience was disgusting. There was a group and they haven’t decided what they wanted so I grabbed a raspberry parfait and was ready to be rung up and she waited for this group of people to decide what they wanted like 5mins later. And then once they finally decide they pay and leave and then has the audacity to say “I think this group was next” to a group who hasn’t even decided what they wanted either. What kind of person just waits for people to make up their mind while others are waiting to be rung up? This server should definitely learn how to multi task and learn how to work more efficiently because come on girl. Idk her name she had glasses.Ice cream was good tho.

whenever im on the north fork, i always come here. they have a great variety of flavors even for people who have a dairy allergy. my favorite thing to get is the honey cinnamon ice cream with rainbow sprinkles and crunchies

This place is a Mattituck staple; a must-see for every friend that has ever visited me. Magic fountain boasts some of the most creative, homemade ice cream flavors on the North Fork. They are constantly churning out new creations that are no less than delicious. Yes, they also have one of the longest lines, but I assure you it is worth the wait.The three star rating is specifically for their vegan ice cream flavors. For all my friends who have since become dairy free, developed intolerances, or choose to be vegan for another reason, this is for you.About three years ago now, magic fountain started experimenting with vegan ice cream flavors (thank you for being inclusive). They started out with a “pomberry” flavor and I pray to God they never have it again; it was so awful and for the longest time it was their ONLY ONE (coming from a place that has maybe 50 different flavors of traditional ice cream). To this day I’m not really sure what the flavor is supposed to be, but it was bright pink and tasted similar to potpourri (to me), was not smooth, and had a somewhat icy consistency.Fast forward to 2019 when I was taken out in a date to Magic Fountain (still vegan) and was slightly terrified at the thought of having to spoon down another kiddie sized cup of “pomberry” just for the sake of ordering something. THANK GOD they introduced THREE other flavors: a coffee flavor, a chocolate flavor, and some sort of banana flavor (I believe...). I was so thankful I ordered two (the coffee and the chocolate) and they were much, much better than the pomberry disaster (which I don’t even recall them offering at the time). Although the flavors were better, the consistency was about the same; I remember my date describing it as being “cold and sweet like ice cream but still not ice cream”.Another year later (2020) I showed this place to a friend that was visiting. They were down to two vegan flavors; one mango and one coffee I believe. I tried the mango because it was new, and the consistency was much better, but again the flavor just wasn’t for me. Why can’t magic fountain just have two traditional flavors!? To me, if you’re only going to offer two options for vegan customers, you’re better off sticking to something like vanilla... vegan is already a niche offering and now on top of that you’re asking people to like either MANGO or COFFEE... what!?!? Seems like they skipped a step... maybe if they can get one really good vegan chocolate flavor going they’ll make better specialty flavors down the road, but until then I suggest working on your vegan ice cream BASE first. I’m sure that Magic Fountain did not grow into the mad successful flavor scientists they are now before perfecting their standard ice cream base so I’m not sure why vegan flavors would be any different.If you’re looking for good vegan ice cream, “Flavors” vegan vanilla ice cream in Greenport is probably the best I’ve had so far. As my date would say, it’s still “not ice cream”, but it’s sweet, not as icy as some of Magic Fountain’s flavors, and tastes kind of like vanilla cake frosting (which in my opinion is a good thing).UPDATE: oat and cookies flavor is so much of an improvement; happy to see even my “non-vegan” friends enjoying dairy-free options!

Absolutely amazing experience, with amazing staff! I’m was so happy to see an allergy chart and ingredient list with all the food allergies, and was amazed at how natural and healthy the ice cream was! Portion size was very well done, and will go again soon!

We have passed this place so many times that we finally said let's try it. They usually have a line in the warmer weather, but since this was off-season, we said what the heck. I had two scoops of pistachio with brown sprinkles, and my daughter had cotton candy with rainbow sprinkles. 🌈. However, the strangest thing happened when I practically went to the bottom of the cone, which took me no time, I had found that the ice cream was like a slimline green and that it was very sticky. I am not sure what it was, but thankfully, it was at the bottom. I showed it to my wife, and she's like, there's nothing left. I said I know,it was good, but I'm not sure what that is. So I threw it out. May be it was just freezer burn? However, my daughter likes the cotton candy ice cream.

My family and I love this place. Ice cream is top shelf. The staff is super hard working and very competent. Don’t worry if there is a line it moves fast. If there is a line figure out your order before you get to the counter. Don’t be THAT GUY. Parking can be tricky just take your time. BTW they make custom ice cream cakes you can order online. Just need to give them 3 days notice.

Had some delicious Kulfi ice cream here. It was rose water, pistachio, and cardamom topped with rainbow sprinkles. It was delicious and unique. I wish more ice cream places would do cool flavors like this. Highly recommended.

Delicious ice cream. Highly recommend their sampler pack. Try something new while you are here. It will be worth it. There can be some wait. It is part of the experience. If you want to skip the wait, you can also order ahead via their website.

Best ice cream ever. Been going there for15 years since we moved to Mattituck. But the last two times we were there the portions have become so small on the 2 scoop sunday and the girl put on about a tablespoon of hot fudge. Hopefully the next time will be better.

Great icecream. Realy fantastic. Prices are high, but it is for excellent product. But what is the deal with forcing a tip on online orders? Really rude. And if I wanted to tip cash, now it would look like I was NOT going to tip at all. This is the sort of nonsense that pushes me off.
