The store is generally trying. They no longer have a entrance into the mall as the mall is basically done. They are struggling, they went from a anchor store of a thriving mall to a store that is on life support. I like shopping there , but without coupons or buying stuff that is clearanced it is to expensive. I can't see spending $50 on a shirt or $50 for a pair of summer cargo shorts. They have a great staff that is wonderful. The store is currently going through dealing with all of the demolition in the mall and air quality issues that the store is staying on top of every day.

As malls all over are closing, this mall seems to be thriving. We were driving thru and wanted lunch, so we went to the food court. Good food and pleasant atmosphere. The mall is clean and looks to be well respected.

Even though it's inside a small and fairly dead shopping center, this JCPenny is still about the same as any other location. The only difference is that this one may be smaller compared to other locations.I normally order clothes online but I needed a dress shirt faster than it would ship. Walked in, found exactly what I needed. Staff was also very pleasant.Great place to buy clothing for sure.

This store is better than Watertown. They have more selection of all items. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The staff was constantly taking care of keeping the dressing rooms clean. Checkout was fast. Great prices and sales!

Massena’s local JCpenny’s is great! I needed an extra long curtain rod and they had them in stock! No shipping or waiting. The staff is friendly and helpful! While there I had to pick up a few fun outfits as well!

I had an enjoyable experience. The cashier named Tabitha was very helpful and kind. She is very pleasant and knowledgeable. She is a keeper. If I had a business the would be on the top of my list to hire. J C Penny is so lucky to have her. This is my first time meeting her but I feel like we bonded.

Much improved! Mother's Day jewelry dept gift specials saved my day Chinese made irked me. As only discounted and affordable merchandise.Wife says women's clothing are overpriced poor women designed clothing! She wants downstate Macy's type stock!And finally after all my past complaints the dressing room for sizing tryout is finally open! Don't ever do that again in "rural" communities as the new clothing and shoe merchandise are often not the size they claim! Customer's needs and wants always and always come first not corporate beancounters!Thank you!

The last anchor in a dying mall. They carry some good brands, and if you catch a sale you'll get a fair price. There always seems to be plenty of staff and the store is generally neat, but the racks are crowded together and you'll have to work around some creative "solutions" to multiple roof leaks. Not many options in town, so they fill a need, but only just.

My 91 year old mom needed some winter pants and there are few options in this area. Thank goodness for JCPenney in Massena! They had a good choice for her and she is harder to fit. Staff in womens' section was really kind and helped us. She was great! However, staffing in general was light and several elderly customers were asking for staff who could help them and with most staff needing to man the register there was no help in sight. Need more staff. Ample parking as mall is empty and good sales.

Had a nice time school shopping. The Male cashier was somewhat snooty and rushing us that he didnt use any of my rewards for me and wasn't helpful when I was trying to find coupons for my large purchase.

This JC Penny has downsized from what the store once used to be. I would have to say that it now has about 1/2 the merchandise it once carried and it doesn't carry the same quality or high end name brand merchandise it once had. The merchandise is often the same quality of that one would expect to find in a Walmart. And selection is often better at the local Walmart with better prices unless one is to shopping clothing or a sale. The sales are absolutely worth the trip and the time. However, if you are going in looking to expect the selection from years past it's not there unless advertised.

Terrible,You don't have enough of a variety, everyone around here has on the same clothes,your products are getting cheap looking & most of the women's clothes are not up to date. Looks like over priced Alfred Dunner for old ladies

Got amazing deals on clothes and curtains! The staff is always friendly and helpful :)We dont have many shopping options in this area, but it is definately worth coming just for JCPenneys.

Merylin was very helpful to me finding what I needed. I enjoyed shopping at JCPENNEY, they have some good quality items in the Massena Store. I hope that it stays open because we don't have too many stores here.
