We've been shopping with the k9 shop since 2019 and followed them through every move in Massapequa! After several years shopping with them, our shiba inu, now 12, has started to become uninterested in his food and hadn't eaten much in a few days. So before an expensive and unlikely necessary vet visit- we stopped in and wanted to speak with a sales associate to ask for advice based on our situation. Lina took her time with us, answering all of my questions and never made us feel rushed. We took her advice and switched his protein and the brand of raw we were feeding him, and it's been working! She also reminded us as he ages and becomes less active, it's totally okay he doesn't eat every day. We've trusted k9 shop for several years, but this just reaffirms how wonderful they are.

My husband and I visited the k9 shop for the first time today in hopes to get some information on transitioning our 8 month old 63 pound pitbull mix to a raw diet! We were greeted by Lina, Franky, and Danny who couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful. They informed us on so many different things about raw food vs kibble we didn't know about. Talking to them made us so excited to start the transition. We ended up buying some raw chicken patties and can’t wait for our pup to try them. We will definitely be back in to the shop very soon!

I met the owner on the train, she introduced herself to me and explained the advantages of a raw diet.I didn't have a dog at the time but recently got a Rottweiler puppy named Kodiak. The breeder and my own vet recommended Purina Pro,I had researched dog food in the past for my other Rottweilers and kibble food just has alot of garbage in it. I have Kodiak on the raw diet and treats from the K9 Shop and is doing great and absolutely loves the food. His coat is so soft and has tremendous energy. Thank you for the information and directions on introducing Kodiak to the food.

I went in to the Massapequa location yesterday completely lost because my 6 month old lab has been having such loose smelly diarrhea for almost a month. After back and forth with our vet, testing for any and all parasites we both decided it had to be the food (kibble) that he was eating.Lina (and all of the staff) was INCREDIBLY knowledgeable. She helped us so so sooooo much with getting started, figuring out the correct amount of food needed per serving, and also letting us know about extra things that a growing puppy needs.We finally, after a month, had the best solid poop this morning and he absolutely lovessss his food!

Love the variety and selection of food and treats and to be able to shop with Danger in such a wonderful dog friendly store! StaffCould not be more knowledgeable, friendly and helpful! I love the fun backdrops for photos and the yearly visit from Santa! We shop for Small Batch dehydrated food and treats, Crumps, Adored Beast Apothecary, dehydrated duck feet, quail eggs, Solutions Pet Products and pesticide-free tick and flea repellent to name a few of our favorites. 11/10

Store is immaculate and well stocked. THE STAFF ARE AMAZING!!! Professional, very friendly and knowledgeable. Each staff member was well versed and knowledgeable with respect to each and every question I had. (And I am complicated). I am so happy I found them!!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE !!!!!!!

My poor German Shepherd suffered very badly after just 2 doses of apoquel and this subsequently triggered hemorrhagic gastroenteritis and SIBO. After recovering her weight back, I decided I did NOT want to keep her on cr@ppy "prescription" diet kibble. This stuff is overpriced garbage! My dog also suffers from environmental and seasonal allergies and itchy skin. Enough is enough and I want to feed her only the best!I reached out to Anya and she spoke to me with a lot of empathy and made great suggestions on what products to use. I was scared at first because my dog was having diarrhea the 2nd day on raw. I called the store and a lady who I do not know the name of spoke to me and gave me so much reassurance and confidence that I was doing the right thing and that my dog is just detoxing.Well, she was right!! I continued to feed my dog the raw cold turkey and adore beast gut soothe and the next morning, she was having small, non smelly stools. Her coat is already SO MUCH softer and shinier. She is way less hyperactive like when she was on kibble. I will eventually have to try the suggestion of adding local raw honey for her allergies.I use K9 Kraving and although the cost does add up a little, the price for these products is the best around and your dog will be so much healthier in the long run. They also carry so many products you will never see in a conventional pet store. They even have safe rawhide, aka cow skin rolls, and raw goat milk! They care so much about the health of your dog and/or cat. I will continue to support this business.

My dog was gaining a lot of weight on ollie product food. kept telling me they have no fillers, but they do. So I started turkey-based food from the canine shop and within four weeks my dog lost all the weight that she gained. Now I stay on the canine food that they gave me and she has been maintaining. Very nice people and really informative on dogs

My dogs favorite place! I was a little nervous to start her on the raw diet but the staff is so welcoming and knowledgable that my nerves subsided almost immediately. Me and my pups LOVE the K9 Shop! The staff is wonderful, and incredibly knowledgeable about the products they carry and always happy to answer questions. They always have new things in the store to try, and it's clean and well organized! Plus, our pups love the duck heart treats they get when we visit:) We drive out from Queens to get our K9 Kraving raw food here, plus they have a great selection of natural treats and chews. This is the best pet store a pup could ask for - do your pups a favor and stop in:))

They offer such a wide variety of the best food available for all dogs. My Juliette is so much healthier than she was when she was eating the kibble recommended by the breeder and vet. It’s been about a year and a half that we have been buying from Anya and Robert. They are always available to answer your questions and offer advice. It has always been the best advice. Even shared some homemade bone broth with me when my dog got sick! Helped her get better right away! They know what they are doing and offer only the best products. When they can’t get something they don’t replace it with second grade products. Only the best. I highly recommend them.

Excellent customer service! Give them a try, you will not regret it!Coming from Upstate NY there were absolutely no raw dog food boutiques within a 3 hour distance. I'm so lucky that I looked for "raw dog food" when I knew I was going to be visiting Long Island.I first contacted the company via e-mail and did not receive a response, the owner e-mailed me a few days after apologizing that she never got to my e-mail (which totally makes sense, it was busy, nearing holidays and it happens!) I was pleased to actually get an e-mail back with an apology which showed excellent customer service on their part.I actually ended up going to the store in Massapequa (before she e-mailed me) and was greeted by a young gentleman, I believe his name was Mike. What a wonderful and knowledgeable employee! I'm new to raw feeding and he explained in detail the step by step process for me, tailored for my dog (based on breed, weight, and age). He even wrote it on an index card so I could bring that home. I also told him that I was actually from Upstate NY and thank goodness he told me that they ship! Just waiting on an e-mail to receive more details about shipping. Ended up leaving the store that day with a log, goats milk, and some chicken feet! I was also given a discount for being a first time customer.I will definitely be coming back to stock up on some logs before heading back Upstate!

The current pictures do no justice to how the store actually looks .The store is so clean that it Looks like a new store . My wife and I walked in, with my Doberman and my two kids and The lady at the register was so nice and warming to my family . Even the customer there welcoming . Freezer are clean well organized . Love the look of the stores looks, it’s like a boutique. The Price for the dog food are also good prices . Love that they got all that you will need to feed you dog in a very healthy way . Definitely got a new weekly customer.

I have been going to The K9 Shop for over three years, from when it was in their garage! There are no other people like Anya and Robert. They truly love what they do and are the best at what they do. They are devoted to not only their two beautiful dogs but to every other dog who is lucky enough to have owners who shop here. You can never go wrong in this shop. And the prices are VERY reasonable. No reason to go anywhere else. (We travel an hour to get here once a month and stock up! Well worth the trip.)

Omg!! I cannot even put into words how amazing the staff, the store and the raw food diet has been for my Kane. I rescued Kane and he has been through a lot. He has high anxiety which has caused a multitude of issues, one of the major ones being digestive issues. My boyfriend had told me about looking into a raw food diet, but being uneducated on them, I often declined. Then he took me to the K9 Shop. The staff was EXTREMELY intelligent and patient. They answered all my questions thouroughly and removed my doubts. Kane had major digestive issues up until Sunday evening. I started his raw diet monday, Monday afternoon he was great. Tuesday he had amazing good energy, not anxiety and his excitement at meal time was spectacular. Day 3, happy as ever. Teeth cleaner, bowels amazing and even a reduction in anxiety. This has been god sent. I cannot say enough amazing things about this store. I felt at home immediately and even Kane enjoyed his visit. Thank you all so much! Definitely life changing!!

We love this place ! We’ve been feeding our border collie puppy raw since she got back home with us from her breeder. After extensive research I’ve even switched my 4 ferrets to raw food ! They have a wide variety of different types of proteins for all types of diets. I highly recommend this place and switching to raw over kibble. The prices are more than fair and it comes out to around the same price as a “ healthy” kibble, if not less.

The best ever raw diet shop 4 my pups love it here. Bit I still have 2 mix it with raw ground meat the texture is not 1 of my pups favorites. I also use Nupro supplements gold label that I buy elsewhere.

I went there today and I explained the health issues that my dog currently has. All of my questions were answered entirely. Nicole was amazing. Not only did she answer all of my questions, she gave me a sample to try on my dog. Hopefully my dog eats this (very very picky dog with an upset stomach) because I will be back. Either way, I will recommend this place to all dog owners that I know.I wanted to send an update- my dog loved the food. She ate everything over the past two days and has not had any issues with how she has been feeling. I will be back for more food later.

Anya took her time explaining the proper amounts and how to portion my puppy's food, and adjusts the amounts as she grows. Very helpful, spotless store, extremely knowledgeable. My last dog died 20 years ago, so I'm new to the raw foods. But I did some research and raw food is increasing the formerly declining longevity of dogs.

I've been going on and off for monthsHowever recently I got a puppy and decided I wanted to dive in to raw and stick with it. 2.5 weeks in and my puppy is the softest short haired dog I've ever touched! Her coat though dark shimmers and shiny es in the light!The owner Anya is very welcoming and informative in person and through email with prompt responses. The shop is smaller than your average dog spot but is full to the brim with all types of treats, foods and everything in between. All properly sourced foods for your dogs or cat. Also pricing is good compared to others.

My experience with the K9 Shop was great. They are convenient and provide a wonderful variety of wholesome raw food that my dog loves at an amazing price. They also offer many raw treats (i.e., chicken feet, marrow bones, duck necks, etc.) and freeze dried treats. After converting to a raw diet several months ago, I believe it is one of the best decisions that I have made for my dog and using the K9 Shop is the best way for me to affordably provide my dog with the best raw products available. The owners are amazing people who are knowledgeable about the raw diet, truly believe in its health benefits and want to provide people with the opportunity to have easy access to the best raw products. Give them a try – you won’t be disappointed!!

Let's start by saying i have never had the inclination to write a review good or bad until now. Felt i had to because THE K9 SHOP is a terrific small business opened locally by two people who couldn't love dogs more. Stopped by last week to pick up raw food and treats. Owners were very knowledgeable and helpful in making food choices, will definitely continue to shop there and support a local new business. If you are thinking about changing your dog to a raw food diet or looking for a local supplier, just give THE K9 SHOP a call you will not be disappointed. The best place to go for all your raw food needs.

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!! What an awesome shop for all my raw feeding needs!! Seriously the variety is incredible! I went for green tripe and left with duck heads, duck necks, turkey necks, beef trachea, bully sticks and beef bones with marrow!!! And the price is unmatched!!! My order was placed into a k9 shop logo cardboard box and loaded into my car by the shop owners son!! Amazing customer service!! And did I mention the variety??!! I will deff be heading back for the whole rabbit! I haven't been able to find rabbit anywhere! I love the shape the tripe rolls come in also! Super easy to thaw and cut sections off rather than thawing a huge block like Ive had to do with tripe from other places Ive gotten it from. The shop is super clean and really trendy with pig ear, bully sticks and trachea displays also beautiful artwork of the owners gorgeous Vislas on the walls!! Honestly I can't wait for my pups to eat all their goodies so i can go back and pick more fun stuff out from The K9 Shop!
