When you visit a puppy kennel you expect the smell to be strong. Sportsman's Kennels isn't like any other facility I have visited. Although there were 30 - 40 puppies in the room, the smell was not overwhelming. They keep it clean and pick up the poop quickly. The puppies are clean and well cared for too! Helen was a pleasure to work with! Her love for the puppies is evident in the way she speaks about them and looks at them. It is evident that she is protective of her babies as she watches you play with them in the separate area provided and "tests" you after having you read through the instructive paperwork. If you're looking for a new FOREVER best friend, Sportsman's Kennel is the place to go!!!

Lovely breeder, allows us to see the dogs / pups available and tells us all the info, nothing to hide and absolutely were lovely about all the little questions I had! Puppy is in great health. Can’t say more about this breeder!

Brian and his staff are great! They made getting my daughters first puppy a wonderful experience! Everyone was friendly and answered all our questions. We were able to bond with our puppy for as much time as we needed! We are in love with our mini aussie poo! I highly recommend Sportsman's Kennel's!

Very happy and thrilled with our experience at Sportsman Kennels.The facility is very clean, all the pups are happy and healthy, staff is extremely friendly especially Chelsea. She was very informative and straight forward with questions and informations about the pups.This is our second time returning to sportsman kennels. We first got dog here, Hunter. He is a male golden retriever almost two years ago. We were so happy with the experience and figured it was time for a second dog. Therefore, we came back and got our new female German shepherd, Nova, this past weekend.Highly recommend.

We are very happy with our new puppy! Helen was very knowledgeable and informative. There was no high pressure. We had all the time we needed to find just the right puppy. I am a firm believer that you don't pick the dog, the dog picks you. The kennel was clean and very well maintained. which was a real plus. All the proper paperwork was in order.

Brian is the best! My daughter & I came unannounced, however Brian was very cordial and introduced me to many variety of pups. I fell in love with a male blue merle mini schnauzer who had one totally black right front leg. He is now 5 months old and cute as can be. I will be coming back to get another mini schnauzer probably a female. He loves other dogs to play with. I highly recommend Sportsman Kennels. I will be back.

I got my Rottweiler here, he’s almost 9 years old, which is considered “old” for a rottie. He is super healthy, acts like a puppy still. People are shocked at his age and think he’s half his age. He has a wonderful personality and when I had my daughter almost 3 years ago, turned into the best “mr. mom” family dog. I get compliments every time we go out with him. When I purchased him all those years ago, I was able to meet both his parents who seemed happy and healthy. I was able to visit him anytime until he was ready to come home. Didn’t seem like anything shady. Was just randomly looking into another one and was surprised by these reviews! Puppy mill or not, I got the best dog I’ve ever had in my life here.

Couldn't be happier with our new yellow lab Innis! Facility was clean, dogs happy and well taken care of. Yes you do need an appointment but it helps the selection and experience if your serious about purchasing.Staff was helpful and knew exactly the right breed age and personality we were looking for. Thank you Helen and staff for all of your help and guidance. Innis is well loved and fit right in to our family.

We picked up our Mini Long haired Doxie on December 23, 2022. After a little delay bringing her home, Helen made sure she was absolutely perfect before we could take her. Helen puts the well being of her first and foremost. We’ve just love this little girl!

Staff was friendly but They really have to do something about the smell. It’s really overbearing and foul when you walk in. I had to have my husband pick up our dog and had the worst headache leaving. She barely ate any of her food and lost weight. We never received updates on her care or how to encourage her eat plus it felt like I was bringing her to the pound. We will be looking elsewhere to board.

The dogs run outside on a huge property all day ! I Highly recommend ! We wanted to take home a new member of the family & knew he or she had to be a hypoallergenic dog bc by husband is very allergic to everything & we found our baby Maggie !!! She’s a poodle maltose mix & is our world so smart so sweet !!! And gets along with our baby Harley! They are attached at the hip !!!

I purchased my first puppy (blonde hair/blue eyed cocker spaniel) in 2012 as well as my second (jet black smooth mini doxie) puppy June 2022!!! Both times we were looking for very specific color/coat/breed… The staff was so accommodating in letting my family interact with the puppies and never pressuring us into the sale. They even held onto the doxie for an extra two weeks so we could pick her up after vacation. If I was unsure while training at home they were just a phone call away!!! Needless to say I’ll be returning soon for a new addition to the family.

My 18 year old chihuahua passed in Oct 2020. My husband wanted to get me a new puppy. I had looked around but did not "click" with any puppy. We were with my husband's family at Christmas. His brother recommended Sportsman's Kennels. He had gotten his Dachshund there. So we called them up and went for a drive on the day after Christmas. Due to covid, they bring the puppy out to your car. You get to spend some personal time with the puppy to see if it is a good fit. Of course I fell in LOVE. We took our beautiful Princess Penelope Pickles home with us right then! I also liked that all the Vet records were in a folder for you. AND The kennel called the next week to follow up. We received our first dog, a Cavachon 15 years ago from Sportsman's Kennels. Maggie Rose recently passed but had lived a good long life. She was such a good girl and we miss her so much! We decided we needed another dog and went back for our second dog. This time we fell for a Bichon. We picked her up last week and named her Halle Rose. She checked out great at the Vet, and so far we are very pleased with our purchase. We have never had anything but good experiences at this Kennel. We highly recommend.

An absolutely fantastic experience. Our Golden Ret. recently passed, and we went to Sportsman's to see if my son could reconnect with another dog. Helen was super accommodating, patient & nice. We looked at some labs (so many awesome dogs to look at) but decided on one that will be able to come with us next moth (still too young right now) I'd definitely recommend and can't wait to get the newest member of out family :)

Disgusting business that euthanizes healthy puppies with zero behavioral issues if they get returned. They have been known to do this, and this week, they sent an 8 month old puppy to be euthanized at the vet, and the vet refused and called a local shelter to rescue him. The puppy has zero behavioral issues and him being returned had nothing to do with him. The only reason they wanted to euthanize him was because they are lazy, selfish, and couldn’t make a profit on him. Like I said, even before this week’s incident, they have been known to do this with every return they get. Please do not support this disgusting business and do research before purchasing from a breeder or store. Many operate in a similar manner. And never return a dog to this place or you can pretty much guarantee it will be immediately killed. So glad the vet refused to put this dog down, but many dogs are not as lucky.

I had went here some time ago. It was too see a bull dog pup. The one they had was deformed in the jaw and they wanted more then a quality breeder. They also had A ton of different breeds in pens from puppy farms. There were probably over 200 dogs here when I went. A horrible site. Find a private breeder and stay away from this place.

WARNING!!!!! DO NOT PURCHASE A PUPPY FROM THIS PLACE!My boyfriend and I recently purchased a puppy from here on 9/26/20 Not even 48 hrs of having him we had to take him to the hospital to find out he had Parvo Virus. Our precious puppy died a week later. Parvo Virus is extremely contagious to animals .Owner Helen stated " I am not giving you a penny". After us going through a nightmare of a heartache you would think she would be a decent human and pay for the vet bill.

I returned to sportsman's after getting a bulldog 4 years ago. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, the dogs are very well taken care of. I like that there is plenty of outdoor space for them to run around and play.

Love our new puppy! This is the third dog my family has gotten from the Sportsman Kennel. When we picked up our most recent puppy, we were given such detailed instructions on how to take care of our new addition. You can tell the people who work at the Sportsman Kennel love their dogs and want to make sure their dogs will be taken care of when they leave.

Our recent experience at Sportsman’s Kennels was very favorable. We had an appointment to view puppies that we were interested in bringing into our family. We were met promptly at our scheduled time. Several pups were brought out into the outdoor enclosure where we were given the opportunity to spend time with them to determine if one would be the right fit. Once we made our decision, our new pup was given a bath while we signed all the paperwork with Helen. Helen was knowledgeable, gave us advice on raising our new family member, and Finn has been a welcome addition to our family!

We had the best experience at Sportman's Kennels, working with Helen to get our first Rottweiler about 5 years ago. He is still a beautiful, healthy, strong dog with an amazing disposition. Before we were able to take him home, I would go visit often to spend 30-60 mins playing with him and starting to bond and get to know him. Helen never had any issue with this and she and her staff were so friendly and accommodating. We've had great dogs, rescues and pure bred but our Rottie is the best yet. We are currently working with Helen at Sportsman's once again to get our second Rottweiler from her. The experience has been great once again and I can't wait to bring our 2nd pup home. Thank you Helen and the Sportsman team. Our family appreciates you and all you do.

The staff was very helpful, polite, and knowledgeable. Any questions or concerns we had they were always there and ready to help when I called. We love our little pug puppy girl! We couldn't be happier. We have her for a week now. They took great care of her until we were able to bring her home. I reccomend Sportsman's to anyone looking for a puppy.

Try and run a business on your own (and keep in business) meeting all the legal and state requirements the Vampire (Empire) State has to offer before you complain or sharpshoot anything Sportsman's Kennels does.Be grateful to become a pet parent, and be prepared and responsible for that new member of your family, for rich or for poor, good health and bad. My experience with this provider has been excellent and rewarding.My wife and I added a Black Toy Pug puppy to our family and he has been a gift since the day we brought him home. Yes he got sick initially, (puppys do that when environments or food changes), yes he drove us nuts, and yes there were ups and downs getting him acclimated from kennel to home. All we can do is our best, we prepared some normal vet checks ahead of time and slowly he adjusted well.Sportsman's Kennels did an excellent job in getting him up to date and stable to be able to be adopted.It's our responsibility to give this lil guy the best life we can, and so far, he's been the one that has brought us so much color, life, fun, joy, and enthusiasm!We're grateful for Sportsman's Kennels for our little "Bentley", and we're looking forward to bringing him home a new playmate (brother) soon.To anyone skeptical of this provider, take the time, get off the phone comparing and comparing and comparing......, and just head out there and check out what they have.
