We went last night for the first of what will be many visits this season. The kids working behind the counter were as friendly as ever, the lines were a non-issue. Best of all, tasty new cones and excellent soft-serve dipped in chocolate was plentiful; truly improved from last season. We'll be back in a few days. Kudos to the new owners!

A manlius institution. Under the new ownership service is a bit slow and chaotic. They have multiple lines and they don’t go at the same speeds so you will still be waiting even after a family of 6 that showed up 10 minutes after you are being served. They need a real point of service system and should use one window for ordering and the other for serving. These problems are fixable and will hopefully be worked sometime soon?Price is reasonable and quality is good.

Having grown up with Sno Top, it's a tradition I want to share with my kids as well. In the past six years since moving back to the area, and with the recent facelift, the shop continued to stay true to good portion sizes, loads of toppings, and efficiency as people clamored for the seasonal highlight. As a result, the opening season visit today was a surprise. I acknowledge it was busy, but still well-staffed, and I waited twenty-five minutes (as did everyone) to receive my two ice creams. Watching various orders, the portions were small, the toppings very minimal. My daughter's small twist with rainbow sprinkles was a baby cone with a spoonful of sprinkles, whereas in the past small cones rivaled mediums at other locales and toppings left no ice cream peeking through. My "Craving Crush" flurry can be seen attached. There were a few small bits of toffee, and coffee was supposed to be poured within. Several people were redirecting their orders, which I can easily understand as staff gets into the groove. I'm hoping this is just a blip as early season kinks get worked out, as my kids love Sno Top above all other shops, I just want to get something that is beyond what I can cobble together at home.

Good ice cream, but not made with high quality ingredients. You can “taste” the chalk, but this is an issue with most soft-serve ice creams. I do not know what ingredients are used in Sno Top’s soft serve, but I think that the use of high fructose corn syrup instead of sugar, water instead of cream, and artificial flavours instead of real vanilla would make the ice cream significantly more expensive, and therefore less affordable to some.

I usually never go to sno top. However, my daughter begged me to go. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised with the service. Claire was the nice lady that was kind enough to take my order. My ice cream was especially scrumptious, and it made my day. I truly felt at home when my order was taken and i will only return if Claire Hunt is working. This has changed my opinion on ice cream in the world today. You are my idol Claire!!

Good sized waffle bowl sundae, although a bit pricey. Colossal Ice Cream cookie Sandwich👍might just be worth $6. As long as it doesn't go to a smaller size in either cookie size or the amount of Ice Cream in between the cookies. 😍 Wish that the Ice cream on a cone actually had the full amount of ice cream where you can't see a hole all the way straight down the middle and nothing in the cone at the bottom! Tasted good but prices are a tad high. I think I paid almost $27 for all 3 items. Tasty but pricey. 😋

What a disappointment Sno Top has turned into this year. I waited in line for 30 min, which wasn’t a problem, but once I got up to the front the new manager was incredibly bossy and rude to the other employees! I couldn’t believe she was acting that way in front of the customers. Not to mention the smaller ice cream sizes and higher prices?! My visit last week, along with today confirmed that Sno Top has completely changed since last season. I used to stop by for ice cream at least once a week last year, and now must find a new place to frequent.

Disappointed with our ice cream and the service. Both the chocolate and vanilla soft serve have zero flavor, they put about 12 sprinkles on mine, and they upsold my husband to a sundae and then didn’t put on the whipped cream or cherry so we paid an extra $3 for nothing. Bummed.

Say, it seems to have declined. Used to be THE ice cream stand to go to in CNY. It was the ice cream stand out if a Norman Rockwell print.Went there last year (2022) and it seems like they changed the soft ice cream…..NOT for the better. It seemed way different than the ice cream I remember. Haven’t been back since.Nelson Creamery opened on RTE 20 outside of Cazenovia, and it’s fantastic. They have actual custard.

As a longtime resident of Manlius, I have always loved SnoTop!!! Have not been there, in over a year. Stopped today to get 2 large softserves in bowls. I found the servings dramatically smaller & prices higher!!!! I was so disappointed & will not return. 😢

As someone who has been in customer service since I was 16 and now 52, I have never experienced what happened tonight. I got to Snoptop no later than 8:51. There were approximately 15-16 people there including my Fiancé and I. I would say roughly 4 people were waited on and at 8:56 both windows slammed shut! No warning, nothing said… is this customer service??? 🤔 Even if someone had come out to the line and said “you in the poked dotted pink shirt… You are the last person”. Hand the last person a stop sign or something so anyone who walks up after knows. Don’t make people who have been waiting stand there for nothing and have the windows slammed shut. I felt even worse for the next person in line who was told nothing. Just a simultaneous two window slam. I live in the neighborhood and I will not be back. I will go to the competitions instead.

I have been coming here for years and I think that the ice cream is really good, and I really like the black raspberry-vanilla twist and am almost always satisfied, taste-wise that is, which is really what matters. I think it's a little overpriced for what you are getting though (other ice cream parlors serve for cheaper and for similar quality in some locations) and portions vary depending who is serving you. I got a medium soft-serve one time with a friend, and he got the same exact thing. However, the portions looked way different and I could argue that my friend's ice cream looked like a small, it's really imbalanced sometimes, and it feels like he got robbed of some of the money.

Great service! Great selection of flavors! Speedy service! Plenty of places to walk around that are scenic as well (swan pond, park etc.). They also carry Dole Whip selections that change throughout the month (non-dairy ice cream), that is so delicious. An added bonus is that they sell pints of ice cream for a reasonable price to take home! 😋 yummy!

The ice cream is still as good as ever. However in order to save a few cents you’ve gone to cheap spoons which Bend while you’re trying to eat. Having a child with disabilities who has a difficult enough time eating, this is made it very challenging and a problem, a little disappointed in that. No need cut those corners.

This place is.... fine. The prices are good, and I mean, it’s ice cream. But the selection is limited, 3 soft serve flavors plus twist, multiple yogurt flavors with flavor burst & 4 hard ice cream flavors. So, if you like the usual flavors - chocolate, vanilla & black raspberry- you are in luck.

The BEST place for ice cream!! Snow Top has numerous employees so no matter the number of people the wait isn't long.The ice cream is perfect taste/consistency/ flavor.I have been to many ice cream places,no one can compare to the perfection of Snow Top!! If you can imagine it,they have it!! Definitely many choices for everyone, another reason to go back and try more ice cream/ yogurt options!!!

Local classic, my extended family has been going for years. Soft serve only. Opens for weekends only starting mid-late March, then longer hours when the weather is warmer. Prices a little high for the portion sizes, in my opinion, but have to drive farther out of the suburbs for better value. Lines can be long during nice weather, but neither the lines nor the weather have ever stopped us! Owners are very nice, great people.

We used to love coming here, buying our panda paws and ice cream bowls for our dogs. We noticed over the years, the cups have gotten smaller yet the prices remain the same. Not to mention, the workers behind the counter are rude. I get that it's the perfect summer job for teenagers but when you notice that they are doing less working, and more talking it becomes a problem.

This is the best soft serve hands down. The vanilla is so creamy and not too sweet. I personally love the fudge brownie sundae. My husband is a sherbet love and he says this is the best he has had also. I pass at least three other ice cream shops on my way here and it is worth the drive.

Sno top is a great place to visit especially if you are from out of the area. Great selection and quality, fair prices and the staff is great. What a great way to teach teenager's what it's like to deal with the public which isn't always easy. I applied the owners for giving them a chance and thank you for keeping it open longer this season and hopefully continues to stay open longer in fall.

Hands down best ice cream in the Syracuse Area. Their Vanilla & Black Raspberry Twist is better than all the competitors. Open late as well. Only problem is their serving sizes are smaller than most other places. Still worth 5 stars all day!
