We stayed at the edge the night before the solar eclipse and i can’t say enough good things about the place. From the folks at the front desk to the cleaning team, everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was clean as can be and looked like it was freshly painted. We had dinner at boondocks which was also good. Highly recommend the edge hotel.

The Edge is truly the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. Even the carpet is spotless! The rooms are spacious and offered extras like in room coffee and a fridge for snacks. The employees were friendly and appeared to be happy at work. Management must be phenomenal to make this place a happy friendly environment for guests.Breakfast was plentiful with my favorite bagels and Philadelphia cream cheese, coffee, juice, fresh waffles etc. great way to start my day.The location is close to hiking, and the trail system but also a couple restaurants and stores. We have stayed here several times and will definitely stay every time we’re in the area.

I came into town to do a wedding, we came the night before since we live over 3 1/2 hours away. We had the room with a jacuzzi, which we were looking forward to of course. The Jacuzzi water went up to 350degrees because of a knob that is not clearly labeled . My skin started to burn, I had to get out immediately, Then the fire alarm went off because of the steam. As we had the cold water running letting the heat out, well at least that's what we thought. We got burned, it ruined our night, the fire alarm went off so we had to hurry up to let the lady at the desk in the room and she told us about the dreaded silver knob that turns the steam up to clean the tub to 350 degrees. Which of course we appreciated hearing it gets cleaned so we'll lol Once it was turned off everything was fine but unfortunately it was very inconvenient and uncomfortable Especially when my poor Man had to stand on the bed waving a towel after he just had back surgery. And the TV didn't work the whole time either. The lady was a sweetheart who helped us but when we checked in nothing was told to us about the Jacuzzi or the knob and the other women acted as if we were bothering her. I would come back knowing what I know now but I think it would be a great idea to put a big sign up for people to see so this doesn't happen to someone else. Otherwise the place is great for snowmobiling trips etcThe rooms are spacious and the bed was very comfy. Safe travels!

This hotel is located in Lyons Falls and is settled on a graveled lot. The hotel is older but rustic, quaint. The rooms are lacking in any modern feel, with the drapery matching the bedspreads. They do offer free eats in the mornings filled with pastries and drinks, not a hot breakfast, though. The outside appeal is charming, and so is the lobby area. I am grateful they had pet friendly rooms, but only have a select amount to offer. Basically, first come, first serve to those traveling with pets. My biggest gripe would be the dust from the gravel. It was constant and everywhere. My car was completely engulfed in a halo of dust the next morning. When my son and I went out to the available playground on premises, we were bombarded by clouds of dust from the ATV trails and parking lot. If I found myself in that area ever again, I would stay again because there are no other options.

From lobby to rooms everything is very clean. Staff was friendly. Love that the shower head had more of a concentrated spray vs the open wide spray that rain shower heads put out. Also, the head is moveable, so you can direct the water to where you want it.Breakfast is basic. Continental breakfast. Waffle machine, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, juice & a Folgers coffee machine. The only downside, was the mattress. I don't know if all their mattresses are extreme firm, but ours was. Too firm for older people. My son is young & it didn't bother him. So for young joints, not a problem. For older joints it's a different story.☺️Rooms: Clean. Provided WiFi. Updated styling. Nothing worn or tattered. AC worked. Enough outlets. Mini refrigerator. Keurig machine. Might have been a small microwave, but I cannot say for sure.

Love the Edge! I've stayed here multiple times for the snirt atv run. Always friendly and accommodating. Rooms are basic, but always clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good but always wished there were some more hot items. But now Boondocks (restaurant in front of the hotel) has a breakfast buffet on the weekends I could always go to that. Will definitely stay again!

Me and my partner stopped over here on our way back to Canada from NYC. The lady at the front desk was lovely, the front hall has deer heads and big comfy chairs and the mud room smells like cedar. We splurged on the king jet tub room for a laugh and it was very clean and smelled nice. Little fridge and coffee machine in the room, but light breakfast is available in the morning if you like. As mentioned in other comments, beds not the best. Not terrible, just lacking a pillow top or something. For one night was fine.We went to the bar / restaurant next door for dinner and the next day went for a few short hikes of the area before heading home. The area is beautiful. All in all a decent price for a lodge style hotel. It feels like the place is cared for and it was a nice vibe. Would for sure visit again.

**This is for Edge Hotel in Clearwater FL! **This was a solo "get away from it all" short trip after an extremely stressful 6 months. The best part -- The pools! Especially the infinity pool facing the gulf. The deck with the pools is to die for. They are lit up at night with beautiful colors. Both pools are heated. Nice bar with music. Really amazing. The deck/bar/pools get 5 stars. They also give out pool towels at the front desk which is nice and convenient. The room -- I had a gulf king front. It was a pretty standard room but with an amazing view. One thing that is really odd -- the balconies don't have lights. So its kind of useless after dark. I think next time I would just get a less expensive room with no view for the amount of time I spent there and the fact that you can't really use the balcony too well at night. Bed was decent, no complaints on the room.Cleaning -- ehh. When I got there I was early (check in is at 4 I believe). But when I booked I was asked what time I'd be there and I wrote noon. And the auto confirmation said see you at noon. So I thought maybe it would be ready early. I actually got there around 2 and the room wasn't ready. Which was fine but why ask what time I'm going to be there when I book? But I think they hurried to get it done and the rug definitely wasn't vacuumed. I did ask to get a full service cleaning the next day because of this and it was done each day.Location -- quick five minute walk straight to Clearwater beach. There are also trolleys. I walked everywhere - most everything I wanted to do was within 30 minute max walk and t he beach, Pier 60 are just straight from the hotel, not a tough walk.Ok here is where it gets rough... the customer service. And I say this with complete sincerity -- I have had Chik Fil A workers more invested in how my experience was ordering and eating a $10 sandwich than the folks were at this hotel. Everyone looked miserable (I saw that in other reviews too). No smiles. When I checked in my card was declined. I was calling the bank and really worried. The guy realized he had quoted me the wrong amount (without tax) so that was why it was declined. Not a stress free way to start a trip. They are mostly kids up front. I don't know where the managers were, most of the times no one was up front.I asked a maid going by if I could grab a piece of toilet paper off her cart to blow my nose. She actually said no , I would have to ask the front desk... strange. And there was confusion over my grand total when I called and the guy I spoke to was rude. For a higher end hotel I'd expect better than average customer service, I was pretty surprised.. a lot of "blah" looking bored people looking irritated to even be there.I do have a suggestion -- the woman in the gift shop was wonderful. Full of helpful info, smiley, happy, eager to assist. I would recommend she teach the younger kids customer service skills. She was great! There were families with kids but also a lot of drunk partygoers. I'd love to take my daughter down to Clearwater, not sure I'd say this was the best place for those with a family though. Definitely would never bring a family down during spring break party time.Would I stay again or recommend? Depends. First I'd research some other places nearby and if they had comparable location/costs/pools I might look elsewhere. The pools are what makes this place though... improve the cleaning a bit and train the front desk and I'd give five stars.

The price of an available room was close to $200 per night. This is way too much for what you get, otherwise it is a decent place to sleep with breakfast included although meats or eggs would've been nice.Noteworthy details: Expensive in price.

the hotel looks beautiful, nice lounge area and decent breakfast but a restful sleep you will not get here. the mattresses are cheap and horrible to sleep on. you figure they put so much work in this place looking beautiful that they could put nicer mattresses for a restful sleep.

My girlfriend and I spent a getaway night here in a Jacuzzi suite and were very impressed. The lobby is very well done in post and beam. Very cozy. The room was immaculate. Seriously I have never been in a cleaner hotel room. When we left I saw the housekeepers cleaning a room, they had the mattress off the bed and were cleaning EVERYTHING. Boondocks is very conveniently located with great food and adult type beverages. Both places had very friendly staff. We will definitely return.

Stayed here for a wedding, very nice and clean place. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was as expected, only complaint would be the storage barn directly outside our window, employee ripping around in a golf cart on the gravel and moving stuff around had me up at 630am, literally sounds like the guys is just throwing around sheet metal.

Such a surprisingly wonderful place I just had to write a review. First, the entrance way has this excellent log cabin smell that emits from the pine or cedar walls. The staff were exceedingly courteous and hospitable. Rooms clean, well maintained and comfortable. Shower has high water-pressure, water as hot as you can stand it and no standing water-- kind of a rarity on this trip, as the showers in 4 out of 6 hotels we stayed came with a forced foot-bath of your soapy body filth. Think about that and what caused it... yeah. The same company also owns The Boondocks Restaurant and Bar up the hill, so guests of the hotel get one free beer or well drink on the house. Can not speak for the restaurant, but the bar has super friendly staff and pours a fine drink. Bar has a pool table, bartender and alcohol--what more do you need, really?Back to the hotel, did I mention the shower? It's really that good. There is 24 hour complementary (that means free) coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby. Breakfast is included until 11.00 am.To sum up. This place is a mighty, mighty fine place to stay. If you are looking for shelter in this neck of the woods, this is it.

Got the King Jacuzzi room. Seemed a little pricey for the location and some small oddities but overall very clean and very large room with kitchenette and Jacuzzi tub. Found it easy to navigate from the hotel to Snow Ridge ski resort and into town for food. Deluxe breakfast was minimal but you will find basics and waffles. Overall nice hotel.

Arrived later in the evening and no problem getting a room. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Rooms were beautiful and exceptionally clean. Rates were reasonable for a Fri. nite. Enjoyed a drink at the bar/restaurant in front of hotel. Very nice area in lobby for enjoying the continental breakfast. Not a large selection, but sufficient. Will stay here again if in the area, and recommend it to everyone.

We got the jacuzzi king bed suite. It was very delightful. Room was very clean, the jacuzzi tub had, what felt like an unlimited supply of hot water. Which was amazing. Tub can fit two people. 😉 🤦‍♀️ 😆Our room had a sink, microwave, a bigger mini fridge, coffee pot and breakfast nook with three high top stools. The water was very tasty from the faucet. There was a 2 seater couch, a table with two chairs, and another high backed chair. The king size bed was firm, which is my preference, and very clean and comfortable. The room was quiet, considering it was a Saturday night and there were lots of people in the parking area with atvs. Just a thought that people might be getting rambunctious. But if they were, I didn’t hear a thing. The bathroom was also clean and had good water pressure in the shower. There were shower gel and shampoo dispensers in the wall in the shower. Nice touches. Less waste.Friendly staff, and a very good variety of food for the continental breakfast, as it should be. Tons of parking and a playground for the kiddos. Also a nice touch. And there was a restaurant (Boondocks restaurant and bar), plus a pizza place (Marianos) about a 2 minute walk from the hotel. It’s a little bit on the high end price wise (well not to be cocky but high end for quality too) for hotels in the area, but there’s not really a ton of clean choices, and this place is really the best. If you’re looking for a clean hotel, where you won’t find hairs on the floor and bed, if you want a nice hot jacuzzi for soaking, to be greeted by friendly staff and or just a comfortable place and peace of mind, definitely get your room here at “the edge” when you’re in the area. The sheets are super soft!!

The hotel sits back from the highway, very nice because you don't hear the traffic! There's a small restaurant/bar right beside the establishment, with a room reservation, you get a free drink token! The room I had for my family and I was pretty typical of a common chain hotel.. very clean and it smelled fresh too! The staff at the Edge are awesome! Extremely polite and professional, well dressed, and presented. The hotel offers coffee bar free anytime, breakfast for a few hours in the morning. This location is right along the atv trail system, perfect for a ride weekend getaway! Easily found, convenient store with fuel, just a quarter mile away! I would highly recommend The Edge Hotel, and will stay there whenever I'm in the area!

We are here this evening and the lounge room is nice... BUT I walked in and instantly having issues breathing with my asthma as the room was very dank and musty. The beds are TERRIBLE to even sit on, so I am not looking forward to attempting to sleep tonight.

Cannot say enough about this little gem! I work over an hour away from my home and usually drive to and from work, but I was particularly tired after a couple of rough 12 hour night shifts, so I decided to get a room. Co-workers suggested this place, so I booked a room. Staff was super friendly, professional and accommodating. Check in was fast andeasy, my room was clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable, everything worked (fridge, microwave, A/C, hair dryer). Reminded me of a much more expensive lodge I've stayed in in NH and this place was much cleaner. Will definitely stay again!

A decent place to stay if you intend to go riding the trails in Lewis County. They even sell the trail permits. Friendly staff. Huge parking lot and easy parking for trailer and ATV. Room was clean.

Fantastic experience! Super clean! Great people! Nice rooms! Boone Dock restaurant next to it was amazing. Food excellent and we had such a good time with the wait staff! If you find yourself up that way, we recommend it highly! Wish it weren't so far away, we'd be there all the time. Thanks for everything! The Ruthvens

5/5 highly recommend this place is amazing!!!! i have never had a better hotel experience than the edge! the staff was extremely polite (although you could tell they were stressed out) and the lobby that you can use every hour was fabulous with amazing decor .The room was amazingly cool when we walked in which was perfect for the hot day, and the bathroom is amazing with neat crystal clear towels (unlike the half clean ones i have seen elsewhere) and endless hot water. the room i got (120 i think) came with a coffee pot microwave and mini fridge to accommodate someone who has many needs.overall this hotel is a must stay when in the lyons falls boonville or even lowville areas it nails what it trys to accomplish it is a nice place to stay and nails the tug hill/ Adirondack mountain feel
