Just went in to look around, and it was very cluttered, very hard to walk down the aisle, and the smell was musty and hits you as soon as you walk in, so many fish had fin rot that a whole tank would be showing different stages of the rot, with them on the same filtration system the sicknesses travel easily between tanks. The condition these dogs were living in were heartbreaking, the cages were just barely big enough for them, just within the standard, and would be standing and walking on grated floors, do not support this business, these animals aren’t living in the conditions they should be living in

This store I can go on and on about granted I feelHorrible for dogs (pups) they LITERLLY have no room to barely move , this store has so many amazing pets all exotic from lizards to fish to birds to dogs cats turtles snakes. It's amazing definitely check this place out. They are pricey but your gonna pay for exotic animals ! And it does stink badly ! But overall this place is amazing ! They had baby bearded dragons for only 40$ CHECK THEM OUT !

I love everything about this place EXCEPT the poor puppies! They are in teeny tiny cages with wire bottoms, and have not much room to play or move. Left feeling really sad! They pee and poop right inside the cage, and most look depressed and some were trying to chew there way out on the metal door. The other animal cages were wonderful. Just NOT the dogs!!! They deserve better. Puppies need to play, this is just sad 😔 they could create a much nicer living center for them. Imagine walking on wire bottom cages all say, and no human interaction! PLEASE DO NOT BUY PUPPIES HERE.....MAYBE THEY WILL GET THE HINT And STOP THE ABUSE!

This store looks cool but they don’t take good care of there animals at all. They have a second story above where they keep all of there sick animals and all there dead animals up there because they don’t care for them. This place is dirty. They let the poor dogs sit in the small kennels all day with no attention. This place has mites all over in the back. They are overpriced and bring in sick animals. Never buy from here. If you want somewhere to go to go to Avalon’s exotics in north Tonawanda. If I can give them 0 stars I would. The animals come from the wild and some are not healthy or on there last leg very dissapoinfed. I would never come here again. 😢😡😡

Don't go here. First if you have any asthma or respiratory issues stay far away. The amount of bird dust everywhere is disgusting. Most products are covered in the dust even the open bins of dog chews and treats. Speaking of food and treats almost every food or treat item I picked up had been expired by almost a year. There was a 50% off table that had bird treats that had expired in 2020! I went and checked out the birds and there was a canary obviously sick. Feathers ruffled, eyes shut not standing strongly etc.I told the employee at the register who had a bird on his shoulder about the bird and asked if maybe they could sell it a discounted price. He quickly said he couldn't sell it if it was sick, which I understand but said it really needed to be taken off the sales floor. He said he would tell his "bird guy". I spent another 30 mins walking around looking at everything and when I came back to the birds it was still there. As I walked around I saw large goldfish dead in their tanks and tortoises stuck. I went over to the puppies to take a look and there were two puppies in top cages, one black fluffy puppy and a Boston. There were three what looked like shih tzu puppies running around the floor. There were metal grates that go in the cages to elevate the puppies off the pee pads the had fallen down and left a gap. The puppies were squeezing under the gap and crawling under the grates. There was also no accessible water bowl for those puppies. To take the cake I asked if they ever got any chiweenies (chihuahua/dachshund mixes) in and I was told they were a purebred only store. I asked what the black puppy in the cage was as the look didn't look like a breed I recognized ( I am a professional groomer/trainer). I was told it was a yorkipoo. Really! That's a mutt last time I checked. The staff lacks basic knowledge of the animals they sell and are supposed to care for. The dead fish in the tanks must have been there awhile as had I come in near close. Walking around reptiles some didn't have adequate food for their species (grassland tortoise with large plates of green). This place needs to be closed down!

I understand that what you’re doing is *legal* but it’s BEYOND cruel. You’re biting off more than you can chew. Your fish have horrendous fin rot and i saw a large fish with half of its tail scraped off. On top of that, I saw another commenter who was an experienced pet owner have their pet die of mites and then you blamed it on them. You house aggressive fish together. Your dogs are in tiny cages. Your leopard geckos are in TINY tanks, they should be in at least 40gal. The tanks you have them in aren’t even big enough for a betta fish. Disgusting. Tanks are overcrowded and animals are diseased and half dead. I don’t care if it’s legal, it’s totally inhumane and evil of you to blame owners.

You don’t tell customers you’re waiting on paperwork from a veterinarian for 3 days for a puppy, then I call on day 3 and am told everything is good to go, I show up 20 minutes later and then told that the one I’ve been specifically asking about for 3 straight days was actually never for sale to begin with. Apparently they like to keep puppies in cages on display even though they aren’t for sale and lie to customers about them. Last time I spend a dime at this place.

This pet store has tons of options for pets and items for caring for them but the actual store is horrible. You walk in and it absolutely stinks the puppys they have in cages with metal grates that they are stuck sitting,laying and walking on untill they are purchased except for a small thin pillow. They also had personal food and drinks in the refrigerator that they keep refrigerated bugs for pets.

I'm fairly new to the freshwater aquarium hobby, and have been here several times over the past 2 years. This can be a busy place at times, but the staff have always been friendly to me and are quite knowledgeable. I always look forward to coming here when I want to add another member to my tanks. Highly recommend!

I bought a hypo blood from you at the first hamburg at the Morgantown venue. Which was nothing more than a sick reptile. That died a horrible death. If I would have known what I known now I would have never have purchased it. I'm out 500 dollars plus vet fees. Thanks alot.

Guy let us pet the ferrets and a snake. they have a large variety of fish salt and freshwater some things I wasnt even sure you could get like the eels. didnt look at the spiders cause not my thing. staff we did interact with was friendly only part I am kinda iffy on is the puppies not a fan of the cages they were held in.

This place has everything you could need for fish and reptiles, as well as a good supply of dog, cat and small aninal things. The fish staff are always helpful and they will talk you through their wide variety of fish to see what would go best as additions to your home tanks.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would I wanted a refund on a animal I DID NOT PICK UP.I took there recommendation of letting my tank cycle for a minimum of 3 days for a axolotl on the third day I checked my water and my parameters where still toxic with the equipment I was advised to purchased.So I went in today and ask could I get a refund on the axolotl I didn’t pickup since my tank needs a minimum of two more weeks to cycle.The owner treated me with such a nasty attitude and refused to give me a refund.The professionalism is not there at all nor do they hold any pride whatsoever If you wanna go to any other pet store this isn’t one.If you want a store that respects you and is well educated I would highly recommend the blue lagoon instead.

On recent visit we noticed a baby tortoise flipped on its side in its water struggling to flip back over,Its head was partially submerged. Out of concern that the tortoise may drown we brought the concern up to a employee. Only to be told it would have to learn. Yes they have a sign that said the tortoises can flip back over. As a tortoise owner I'm aware. My concern was the fact that it could have drowned. I'm surprised this place is still in business especially with how they treat customer concerns and house most of the animals.

BUYER BEWARE!!! DO NOT PURCHASE LIVE ANIMALS FROM THEM!!! My iguana died from MITES from this place, a short few days after purchasing him. He was clearly ill from all of these little bugs crawling all over him. When I called and spoke with the owner I was offered store credit. So I drove 45 minutes with a dead iguana back to the pet store only to be given a slip for another iguana. When I asked whoever was working about the store credit I was told I would get , she was extremely rude and said I'm "lucky I can get another iguana." I called back asking to speak to the owner. Instead Alyssa the store manager called me back. Again, extremely rude, when I told her I do not want another animal from them because obviously they are not well cared for and that I either want store credit or my money back. I asked to speak to the owner, to which I was told no. So after spending over $600 at this place, I am being refused my money back due to their neglect of these animals. I asked multiple times to speak to the owner and even left my name and number for him to call me back. It's pretty sad when the owner of the business won't even speak with me to make things right. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!UPDATE based on response from owner: I have owned an iguana for over 10 years. Them trying to blame their neglect of this animal on me is absurd.

i give them a 3 because they do have almost anything you need for so many types of pets the invatory is amazing that part is a 5 but the customer service is absolutly the worst if you need help with something they act like your bothering their world you are an inconvience they dont want to be bothered especially the fish department they have the worst customer service i spent 300 and something dollars got home and just had a simple question about something i bought and couldnt really remember what they had told me i just wanted to get confermation wow i called another petstore to get the answer and truley this isnt the first time i was treated this way i will drive hours to go somewhere else be careful shopping here they could care less about their customers

I am extremely dissatisfied and upset with this store. I bought a pastel ball python a few weeks ago and a little over a week after bringing him home he had a really bad poop, so I took the fecal sample right to my exotic vet who I’m established with. He was infested with strongyloids (parasites), had a few snake mites and was put on oral meds, but I was warned by the vet that there were so many parasites and to keep a close eye on him, call if anything changes with his behavior. He also had scale rot but that’s not difficult to treat.I called Pets Plus to inform them what was going on and the lady I spoke to told me that the “parasites are normal” and “something that every animal has”. They refused to pay back any vet bills or offer any sort of reimbursement. I faintly took her advice and kept with the meds but yesterday I went to check on my boy and he had passed. I’m bringing him in for a necropsy but my vet told me that this level of strongyloids was not due to stress and instead likely came from another source and was infected well before I purchased him. I have other reptiles so thankfully I quarantined this boy on another level of the house, taking the necessary precautions to keep my other snakes safe. DON’T BUY FROM THIS STORE unless you want to waste immense amounts of money on vet bills, just to end up with a deceased animal.

Great for reptiles the family that owns this pet shop is really helpful and highly experienced with all of there reptiles and will bend over backwards to make sure you feel comfortable and your doing everything right for your reptile. Highly recommend

I am very disappointed in this place. I traveled a great distance because I heard they have an amazing selection of ball pythons. These poor snakes are infested with mites, tanks are dirty, they’re in distress from the mites and they’re just very unhappy. The pastel lesser I ended up purchasing died because of the mites. Disgusting. Never again will I shop here.

The pet store is a genius idea there is no other store like it in miles but I am just saying please try to clean some on the dust from the enclosures we buy like tanks fish tank heaters ect that is why I am leaving 4 stars I would rate it 4.5 but there is too much dust

I am amazed at how clean and well kept these animals are for the number of pets for sale. Cages were spotless, the entire place smelled fresh and the employees were wonderful. I purchased a beautiful Green Cheeked Conure, who was hand fed and beautifully raised. I was sent home with a DNA test proving he is a male along with being parasite and disease free. Store was running a promotion for Black Friday, and I got him for $200 off! I could not be happier with my purchase, and I will be recommending all my friends and family to shop here. Will absolutely be returning and plan to purchase more birds/pets from them in the future. I’ve seen some somewhat negative reviews on here, and I’m so glad I didn’t listen and experienced this place for myself. I’m proud to say I’ve purchased a pet from here! The owner should be very proud.

This was our second trip back to Pets Plus in two years as we live a couple hours away and we weren't disappointed. Not only do they an massive large selection of freshwater and tropical fish, but also snakes, reptiles, spiders, scorpions, rabbits, guinea pigs, rabbits, and other small furry animals. They have all the pet supplies you could need for almost any animal and all their prices for anything in this store is significantly inexpensive compared to Petco and Petsmart. Their staff is extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous as well. I would highly recommend taking a trip to Lockport to visit Petplus for a new pet or pet supplies over any other pet store. I cannot recommend them enough!
