We were delighted to utilize the awesome space at Lock City Books for a book-themed baby shower! The shop features new, used, children’s, YA, and adult books as well as fun novelties. The small stage was perfect for gift opening and our Jeopardy shower game. Our guests loved petting the two friendly kitties in the front enclosure and perusing the shop before, during, and after the shower! The owner, Holly, took care of so many things for us, including setting up rental tables and chairs we needed and made herself available for all of our questions. The shop is located next to a cute coffee shop, and there was ample nearby parking. Our cookies were provided by Shell’s Sweets, and our taco bar was catered by Santora’s. We can’t wait for our next visit to Lock City Books!

My girlfriend and I were visiting from out of town and just so happened to stumble upon this adorable book store while we were out and about! They have a great selection of new and used books, so many cute stickers, and my personal favorite, they help shelter kitties find their forever homes! If you're abook lover and ever in the area, definitely check Lock City Books out, you won't regret it!

This is bookstore is an absolute GEM! The owner is awesome and super friendly and chill, the cats are so cute, there's mostly new books and also a selection of used books. There's bookmarks made by local artists too. Order your books through here! They're comparable to amazon in price and oftentimes a better deal too. And, you're then supporting a local small business instead of a greedy mega-million dollar company. Win win yo!

Lock City Books is a treasure, plain and simple. Its selection of books, both for adults and children, is extraordinary for a small bookstore and the cats! The store has cats and a room to read to the cats for children. Our youngest granddaughter calls it the kitty store. If you’re in Lockport, don’t miss it. And Holly, the owner, is a real gift. The community events put on by the store, for children and adults, are terrific.

small bookstore but an absolute favorite. half the store has children's books and the other a mix of others among YA, romance, thrillers etc. you can also find other things that you could probably gift to your bookish friend: stickers, bookmarks, cards and other things. and the best part is that you might meet some cats that are up for adoption.

Wonderful place to visit! The owner is friendly, the book selection is great, and there are always cute events taking place. If you are looking for a new read, I definitely recommend stopping in. Bonus: you can pet some kitties while you're there. :)

Quintessentially local neighborhood bookstore. Yes, this place proves they still exist! The friendly owner is supremely aware of which books are stocked, where they are, and is happy to order books not stocked. Attended a community event held in the store, and everyone was comfortable and friendly. BTW, the miniturized classic games (Ms. PacMan, Galaga) actually work. The free parking came in handy, too.
