We stayed in the farmhouse at the Arnold House for a family get away. We enjoyed the tavern and the breakfast buffet. I think that guests should be aware that the bathrooms are unfinished. The toilet paper is one ply because the toilets need to be handled with care. Also there was standing water in the basement and the mousetraps in the house gave an uneasy feeling. It's an old house which could be charming with a few changes.Nearby activities: YesFood & drinks: Yes

Wife booked a trip for my birthday. Grounds and staff were absolutely wonderful. Food at the tavern and breakfast were absolutely delicious. She also made a reservation for dinner at The Debruce. Eat at the tavern at the Arnold House. Our meal there was exponentially better, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Only downside was that everything closed at 9pm, but to be fair it is the offseason, and that is the standard closing time for everything in the area. Wonderful experience and would recommend to anyone looking for a lovely area, and wonderful experience.

would not recommend for anybody with food intolerances. We came in tonight around 7pm. They were not very busy (i’ve seen them much busier, and had a much better experience that time) We ordered Crab Rangoon as an appetizer, they were cold when they came. We still ate them and we were willing to overlook that as mistakes happen. I had asked what their “northern farmhouse” pasta of the night was, vodka sauce with prosciutto. I asked if i could get it with no prosciutto, and was told yes. Once everyone else got their food (which was all correct and very good) the waitress said the kitchen had made my pasta with meat, and that it would be a few more minutes for mine to come out. When i did receive my pasta, it was a totally different dish. A pretty much dry/plain pasta with some tomatoes and asparagus. The asparagus was crunchy, i thought i was biting a raw green bean at first. And the pasta was very dry and bland with literally no sauce, just some veggies dropped on top. We told the waitress who apologized and said she would take it off the bill. Since everyone was done eating at that point we asked if i could get a Caesar salad to go. Once i got home and opened the salad, i poured the dressing on to find out that it was actually honey mustard. Very upset with the continuous mistakes tonight, $80 dollars later and i still have no dinner.

We had our wedding at The Arnold House in 2022. We do not have enough good words to say! The staff at The Arnold House are an absolute dream. They feel like family, and are so delightful throughout the whole process. The location is beautiful, our guests felt so welcome, and the food was amazing. It was like a long weekend with our loved ones gathering in one large, cozy home -- just what we wanted!

We had our Wedding at the Arnold House in June 2023. We absolutely fell in love with this venue/inn. It has a Catskills weekend getaway camp feel which is exactly what we wanted for our wedding. Lots of lush greenery and grounds and gardens, the greenhouse is gorgeous and it feels so whimsical to be there! We had 3 nights of events - one welcome event, an Indian wedding and a western wedding. The people that work with Foster Supply group and specifically at the Arnold house are some of the best staff I've interacted from a hospitality and events stand point. The Sales Director, Sarah helped create our vision from the start and for most of our planning we worked most closely with Emily who is the event planner who is a GEM of a person. We could not have pulled off our event without Emily and she was so wonderful to work with and some how helped pull everything together (along with the catering team, Troy and Clark, Bartenders, Servers and all of the other folks who help make this place what it is). Emily was so organized, took countless calls and in person meetings with us and was very responsive and communicative and made our wedding dreams come true. The venue is in tip top shape, the hotel rooms and houses on the property are wonderful and the Arnold House will always be home to us. The FOOD is incredible and our friends and family were raving about the level of service and detail and personal touches they put onto everything. I can't recommend this place enough and we will definitely be back to the Arnold House. Thank you for exceeding our expectations and for the incredible memories we made!

We had our wedding at Arnold House in September 2023 and it exceeded our expectations. Everything about the venue was perfect - from the greenery, the beautiful setting up in the Catskills, fire pits set up near the barn, the hiking trails and the garden filled with hydrangeas behind Shandelee post - it was the perfect mountain chic wedding. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. The food was delicious; we were coming from NYC and noted it was better than the NYC food scene. Our guests loved the AH and everyone was raving about how beautiful the barn was. We arrived when it was raining and it still managed to look beautiful and cozy! We're so happy we got married at the AH and can't wait to return.

We got married at The Arnold House and are very overdue for this review, but can’t say enough good things about the experience. From our first meeting with Sarah, to planning and coordination with Katie and Emily, to check out the day after our wedding, everything was fantastic.Emily in particular was by our side on the wedding day making sure everything went smoothly. It was great to have someone to go to for any last minute things and was such a relief knowing Emily and Katie had anticipated everything we’d need. It felt like everyone at The Arnold House was a friend who was part of the wedding experience and really wanted to see us have the best time. Our friends and family have told us countless times that it was some of the best food they’ve ever had, and we agree! We know we’re biased, but we picked The Arnold House in part because of the food, and they did not disappoint. They accommodated our all guests dietary restrictions with grace and ease and made everyone feel comfortable. We can’t wait to come back to what feels like our home away from home.

Came here with my coworkers for our annual staff retreat. It’s a beautiful property, large enough to be able to wander around and explore, and small enough to buy out the whole place. (There were between 15-20 of us in our own private rooms.) The food was healthy but satisfying, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. There is a meeting room, a dining area, a restaurant, as well as a fire pit with s’mores kits, and a couple of hiking trails. I don’t know about the pricing as I didn’t pay(!) but it was a welcome reprieve from the city and not too far of a drive. Lovely experience.

Friends and I decided to attend the Botanical Dinner Party and what a surprise. The menu was interesting and delicious. My friend described it as having a party in his mouth! Every course was different and provided a blend of herbs and spices that perfectly matched the food. "Bravo, Bravo to the Chef!" The whole dinner was excellent and we had a great time which we give credit to the professional service we enjoyed and observed.Having live music was also an added treat!

My daughters wedding weekend was hosted by The Arnold House last weekend and from start to finish it was a truly a magical weekend. The staff goes above & beyond to ensure everyone is well taken care of the entire time. Every single detail of the wedding was managed beautifully and no detail was left untouched. Our guests were raving about the entire weekend too! The food was served perfectly fresh/hot & delighted everyone. The servers were efficient, kind & expedited anything needed immediately. We could not have been happier & would recommend this venue to anyone else considering a Catskills experience for their destination wedding. A special shout out has to go to Emily who was with us from the very first day we visited over a year and half ago and never left our side until we departed at the end of the wedding weekend. We are so grateful to have found this wonderful venue! It truly was a perfect wedding and weekend. Cheers to The Arnold House!

Quaint. Charming. Nestled in the Catskills. If you're looking for authentic throwback style with a natural Catskill Mountain "feel"... you've come to the right place.Bathrooms are not truly handicap accessible & I did not find where the restaurant was either. Other than that, it served its purpose. Staff is very, very kind, courteous, & helpful as well.

Absolutely nothing bad to say about this place in the Catskills. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay here with our dog. Justin, Saudy, and the entire staff that worked on site were extremely nice and accommodating with any and all of our requests. The room was clean and comfortable. Getting a table for outdoor dining at the tavern was a challenge, but getting the food to go to eat by the fire pit made up for it. We enjoyed the mini hiking trails by the back along with the lawn games that are easily accessible. We will definitely return and recommend this place to friends and family.

We booked The Arnold House for a company off-site and the venue, staff, food, location, and overall ambiance exceeded our expectations. The team was responsive, helpful, and supportive throughout our stay and extremely easy to work with in the planning process. They coordinated special activities (morning yoga, tasting from a local distillery, etc.) for our time in Livingston Manor and were able to meet all of our needs. Highly recommend if you're looking for a location for a company retreat!

Absolutely loved this place. The wife and I went here for dinner on the last night of our vacation. The place was slammed but the staff were super friendly and helped us find a spot at the bar that had just opened. The bartender was amazing and she talked with us most of the evening. The food was also just perfect, the Impossible Burger was so good I was convinced it was actually beef until my 4th bite. Beer on tap was fresh and clean. Prices were great and staff went out of their way to make it a memorable evening.

The venue was gorgeous, food was wonderful and the service staff could not have been better. Kaylynn, head of service, was literally everywhere. She was so involved with making sure our event was everything we wanted. No request was too hard and she made it happen. The Arnold house had so many areas we could experience we never felt like we were stuck in a banquet room. My daughter wanted a fun, casual and friendly venue and this was the perfect choice for a glorious wedding. Highly recommend this special place.

Very pleasant surprise. Stopped at the Tavern for dinner. Trout dip and grilled romaine were excellent. I would also recommend the brook trout entree. Will visit again.

Review for the tavernWe came here after the Branch Inn not serving food on a Sunday evening.I had the Arnold Burger which has house ground beef. It was super tasty, pink in the middle too so nice and juicy. Also had a mango margarita which was tasty and strong. They have two shuffle board tables up stairs which was fun to play. The tavern had a lot more atmosphere which was nice too, would recommend the burger for dinner.

I was looking forward to a couples get away weekend. I was denied that experience. The rooms are like dorm rooms. Not comfortable at all.The bed was nice, but nothing else. Metal chairs and no cushions. When you call and they try to book you into a suite for your comfort with a couch - now I know why. Totally not worth the high price. No luxury in the room at all. There was a dog in the room across from us that barked and barked. We complained and were told they felt sorry for the dog. So our peace of mind was disturbed by someone else's dog. There were not enough bowls or utensils put out for breakfast, you had to bother the staff preparing for the paid Brunch. None of the food was labeled so we had to guess what we were eating. Rather unpleasant. The staff was wonderful - but you don't go to a hotel because the staff is wonderful. It was absolutely not worth the $775 I paid.I will not be staying here again and will let others know as well.Marie SennettVery unhappy now former customer

Our group of 12 went to the tavern on our last night of family vacation. Everyone enjoyed their food, from salads to burgers to fish. My trout was so beautifully presented and delicious! Would love to come back some day. The atmosphere is something special.

Been wanting to try The Arnold House for a while . We went last night and it was good overall! I loved all the apps we had , Spinach Artichoke dip/ Trout Dip and the Carolina salad. Really loved the Trout as well, best I have had in the area . The fish and chips unfortunately were soggy, we should have sent back . It was the only negative thing.Service was great and nice atmosphere as well well prepared drinks.

Restaurant review: It can be hard to find good food in the area (we are from NYC but have a house in the Catskills). But we are so happy we found The Arnold House. When we are in the area we probably go once a week and have loved all the food and cocktails we've tried. Wednesday nights they have a happy hour on drinks and apps, so don't miss that! Also the outdoor space here is so beautiful and I am sure staying in a room here is amazing as well.

We literally cannot say enough good things about the Arnold House! My husband and I recently had our wedding there and from start (nearly two years ago during covid) to finish, their team was EXCEPTIONAL. Sarah, Katie, and Emily were communicative, supportive, and very accommodating throughout the event planning process and during the weekend. The front of house staff, Saudi and Justin, were so kind and attentive to guest needs. Kaylin leads the service team and was on it the whole weekend with every detail and request. And Kyle, the bartender, was obviously a crowd favorite! The venue itself is STUNNING even our international guests said it made it worth the trip. The food is also phenomenal - with almost all of our guests saying it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. The whole Arnold House team made sure that our wedding weekend was the best weekend of our lives and we cannot thank them or recommend them enough.
