I have been dealing with Kinney Drugs since they opened their first store in Saranac Lake, NY many years ago. I always found the pharmacists to be the most helpful, knowledgeable professionals around, often turning to them for their advice before my own doctor. Sadly, this is no longer the case. I now live in the Liverpool area and have been going to Kinney's on Oswego Rd. since I moved here. When I first got here the pharmacist was Steve, and he lived up to the standards I had come to expect from Kinney's staff. In the last few year's since Steve's retirement, the quality of the pharmacists at the Oswego Road location has been declining. The one that's there currently is the worst yet. The lack of assistance in addition to the rudeness and arrogance has been a bit much to deal with. Today was the final straw and I will be doing business with another pharmacy. I want to be clear that the staff in the pharmacy has always been great. This is the pharmacist herself, the one you should be able to rely on the most. A couple of months ago she even argued with my provider about when I could pick up a prescription. The pharmacist turned out to be in the wrong but there was no acknowledgement or that fact or apology. Her attitude needs to change or find a new job. I'm surprised Kinney's would keep someone like that on staff.

I went to this pharmacy several times from 2018 to 2019 and the staff that dispensed the pills treated me excellently, but the times I went there was a woman who worked on the floor and she was unfair because, being of Latin race, she watched us and almost He chased us through the hallways, he didn't even hide, not all Latinos are thieves or gangsters, many of us work hard and achieve goals, we serve the military and many government agencies. It bothers me to see so much indifference in some people, places and businesses that discriminate against the Latino race and some of them are because I have great American people who are my brothers and super friends

I was having an asthma attack. I was over an hour from home without my 8nhailer and I needed help.This was the first drug store I found. I went to the prescription counter, leaned over in front of the pharmacist & asked for help, all the while gasping for air. I was told they couldn't do anything without a prescription. I said it was on my phone (in my hand). She said she'd do it but it would be a long time. I walked out. Luckily I found someone who had an emergency inhaler shortly after leaving.Asthma attacks are not a joke and can lead to death. I have never, ever dealt with a pharmacist who refused to help, especially in a situation like this. She didn't care at all.The very least she should have done was offer to call an ambulance or direct me somewhere where I could get help. She wanted nothing to do with me.I will never shop at Kinney's again.

Went to this store today, 8/12, at about 1:30 pm. Bought a tootsie roll two pack. I had recalled it being $1.99 earlier in the week. When the young man rang it up it came to $2.91 after tax. That seemed wrong and I went to double check. Sure enough, $1.99. I went back in line for my refund. My original clerk had another customer but another cacame to help. He

I called the pharmacy to check to see how much my prescriptions would be and when they would be done. My son is sick. The pharmacist I spoke to said that the more phone calls she gets the less she could get done. Extremely rude. I can tell you the Kinneys I used to go to the pharmacist would have never said anything like that to a customer. Very disappointing.

The technician I dealt with on the phone was very kind and patient. These are difficult times and being a former pharmacy tech, I know how overwhelming the job can be. Her friendly demeanor and willingness to listen to my problem were greatly appreciated.

I enjoy this location, med tech’s are so sweet and try to get you in and out! I have been here when it’s beyond busy and they are still polite & friendly. But like others have stated, the drive thru is soooo slow and they will say your meds will be ready a certain day, I arrive and multiple times they say “tomorrow” i’ve had this happen at least on five different occasions. I try to be patient, I don’t think they always have my perscriptions in stock.

I'd say the worst pharmacy to get your meds filled at. They tell you meds will be done by a certain time, when they never are done on time. There's also times they tell you meds will be done and then you get there and find out, they didn't even have it in stock! And apparently sometimes they place orders for meds and never get them and then have no explanation for their customer, just telling them it should be done the next day.How can a pharmacy not be able to fill meds when they need to be filled, especially for meds people absolutely need when they run out!The drive thru is also the slowest around. I've had to pickup meds at the Electronics Parkway Kinney's before and they were fast. This one you can end up waiting nearly a half hour in line and then another 10 minutes at the window.I feel bad for the elderly who rely on some meds to survive only to be told they can't be done when they are needed.

Recently got a COVID booster shot, the pharmacist injected me way too high,, and injected it into my joint giving me SIRVA injury. I can't hold my arm across my body without extreme pain. I had no injury to the arm before this, I'm a young adult. They need to do better and not chain link vaccines just to get them done quickly, this how mistakes happen, she did 3 booster shots in 5 mins after waiting 30 mins to get it done

Couldn't ask for a better business in our area. We have used Kinney Drugs for scripts and over-the-counter items through their drive-thru service. The pharmacy was very cooperative in providing us with scripts and meds. And can't thank Ashley and Steve enough for our retail shopping. Wonderful service, excellent staff.
