Big Lots is a fantastic store with a range of affordable and quality products. It’s always a pleasure shopping here, as one can often find great deals and interesting items. However, I’ve noticed that the organization and stocking at this particular location could use some improvement. Items seem to be a bit haphazardly placed, making it difficult to find what I’m looking for. I believe more efficient management in organizing and arranging products would greatly enhance the shopping experience at this location. Despite this, I will continue to shop here because of the value and variety Big Lots offers

I went here tonight with my boyfriend who bought some movies. One of them wouldn’t scan and the cashier was the rudest person I’ve ever met. Poor customer service doesn’t even explain it. She said “nope I can’t scan it” and tossed it and said we couldn’t have it. Like you don’t act like that. I work in customer service and even if I hate my job or am having a bad day, whatever reason she could use, I wouldn’t act like that. If I didn’t know about something I would get the manager and say “I’m sorry it’s not scanning, let me get a manager and see what we can do!” Not act like that. The manager was super nice and that’s why I am giving this a three star because the manager came and was so nice and let my bf have the movie by just scanning another. Thank you to the manager for being so nice! I never write reviews because, again, I work in customer service and get how hard it can be, but she was so rude I had to. Again, thank you to the manager! No hesitation she just knew what to do and was so nice and we didn’t give the manager a hard time or anything because things happen!

I was just over at the Liverpool store and and I want to say the woman had helped me find what I was looking for very wonderful person very friendly and helpful I picked up a window fan and the cashier was just very kind very pleasant plate woman thank you

So many items in this store such a variety, there is food, furniture, household goods, small appliances all sorts of items in this store well worth checking out. They also have a good amount items that come in and out for every season and holiday. A very good shopping experience.....

I would give a 0 rating but its a 1 star.Horrible customer service cant find anyone and then when you do and ask for something if they have it they are like its in this area or a different person said we dont have them at all. I Will not be coming back to this store again in this area.

It’s a wonder Big Lots is still in business. They are consistently out of their sale items and when you ask if they will substitute, employees literally bark at you shouting “no!” This happened again today when I went in for a half price package of toilet paper which was their daily deal. It was barely lunchtime, and their shelf was empty of this one brand, but overflowing with other brands. I asked where this particular brand is and they said they ran out. It’s barely lunchtime, so that means they didn’t have enough of a supply for the sale. When I asked what they were substituting, the guy literally snapped at me saying “nothing!” Then they suggested I call the home office to complain and wrote down a number for me to call and of course it was a wrong number. Haha… This is not the only store where those happens. What Big Lots fails to understand is when someone like me comes in for an item that’s on sale, I typically spend at least 10 to 15 times the cost of that one item by buying other things in the store so they actually lose a great deal of business by treating customers like they have no value. Big Lots, as a whole, has taken a nose dive in the past couple years. Stores are dirty with dim lighting, and the employees, especially at this particular property in Liverpool, NY, look like they all come from a homeless shelter. it’s obvious Corporate doesn’t care about the appearance they give or in keeping loyal customers. Seriously… How hard is it to substitute a pack of toilet paper?? Big Lots needs to clean up their act or they’re going to go the way of other retailers of late. Personally, I’m done with Big Lots. I don’t care what they have on sale, I’m shopping elsewhere. If this retailer is still in business this time next year, I’ll eat my hat because I can’t eat toilet paper as they are out of my brand.

We found the PERFECT COUCH/SOFA, EVERYTHING WE didn't even know we wanted.... ready to buy right then and there.Their delivery person is sick/ retiring.. something.The other big lots has a delivery person, but somehow can't deliver for the store I need a delivery from... and of course, the couch/sofa we feel in love with, is not available at the one that has delivery.We're worried that if WE attempt to pick up and bring home ourselves and anything happens, we're out the $700 like throwing it out the window. The coucg...has more than meets the eye.~heartbroken

Phoned for availability and price on a box fan. I was told they had a whole shelf of them and a price range. I get there to find out they only had 2 nine inch table tops. Not what I needed. I find an employee who brings me to the shelf I just looks at . He checks with another employee. They figured because the fans were packaged in boxes that they were box fans. I guess the fact they said tower,pedestal, table top box etc. wasn't clear enough. This store has gone downhill.

Regional management shouldn't stand behind the generally undermanned cashier counters and make comments about shoppers in listening distance with employees who could theoretically be manning a register instead of having me wait in line for 10 minutes with a jumbo pack of toilet paper.

Shopping experience was okay. They have a good selection. My issue is with the cashier at the end of the experience. She was very pushy about signing up for their rewards program. She was appalled that I wouldn't save $5 to sign up for their program. When the transaction was done she threw our receipt into our basket that we were buying. Overall the experience was not the best.

I accidentally ordered wrong size bins online. The cashier and manager were very helpful and kind even when I was really frustrated with the online order. They went above and beyond to help me and make sure my needs were met.

I really like the different items that they carry. They have alot of cute home decor items. Also the prices are reasonable on most of this items. I do like their furniture dept. I did think the store was a little picked over when I was there but that might have been caused by Covid- 19. I wish they had a store closer to Solvay/Fairmount area.

The prices are what you would expect from a store in this niche of the retail industry. The employees are friendly and helpful. However, the items are not priced on the shelves more often than not. The allotted areas for the products aren't very organized and have other products in them. All in all, I think it's ok for certain things that they stock. Otherwise, the Walmart or Target option seems much better.

I really like this store but completely blown away today when I went to get Christmas decorations and they had nothing on the shelves. But I did here someone say they are always sold out of Christmas stuff by Thanksgiving. I'll have to keep that in mind next year.

Very helpful staff. Andy was the associate that helped us with our needs. He was very energetic and eager to make sure that we were taken care of. Not to say that the other associates weren't helpful, which they were. Everyone was very pleasant and welcoming

The female assistant manager with long, dark hair is rude. My daughter and I asked her to move a large cart so we could get through the aisle, and she sighed at us. Maybe she needs a break from retail. Other than that, no problems there.

Big Lots, in general, is a decent place to go for inexpensive things. This store is virtually empty any time we have gone. The cashiers are always pleasant. The store is pretty dirty and many times outside there has been a sewage smell walking into the store. We still go here for things like decorations and cheap toys.

Sometimes the store is a bit ramshackle but they always have what we go there for. Employees are kind and pleasant. You'll find things there you'd never knew even we're available. This visit was no different. Mustards from Russia, saurkraut from Germany candy from Asia and even kelp snacks.
