IF I COULD GIVE ZERO I WOULD! Walked in this week and bought a fish. I noticed another fish was dead and some of the other fish looked sick (the one i had looked perfectly fine though and was not in a tank with the dead or sick looking fish). I told staff and they said they would take care. Well I come home today and my new pet is DEAD. I’ve owned fish for over 15 years and have never had this happen. I called the store they seemed very dismissive and like they did not care. DO NOT GO HERE!!! And a message for PetSmart not only is it unethical that you sell sick fish, but it is disgusting that this is how you “care” for your animals.

I recently brought my 7-month-old Shih Tzu/Maltese puppy, Nyla, to PetSmart Grooming in Levittown, Long Island, on 11/18/2023, with specific instructions for a targeted trim due to matting on her legs. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.Despite agreeing to only trim the matted areas, they shaved Nyla down to her skin all over, including her face and back, completely disregarding my preferences. This drastic and unnecessary grooming decision left my once beautiful, fluffy dog with a bare appearance that was not only against my wishes but also detrimental to her overall well-being.To make matters worse, Nyla came home visibly frightened and shaky, indicating a distressing grooming experience. I am deeply concerned about the treatment she received during her time at PetSmart Grooming in Levittown, Long Island, on 11/18/2023, by Melissa. I would strongly advise fellow pet owners to exercise caution and reconsider bringing their dogs to this establishment.My hope is that this review serves as a warning to others, urging them to choose a grooming place that prioritizes both the owner's instructions and the well-being of their furry companions.

Definitely my favorite PetSmart! We did all of the dog training classes with Danielle, who is awesome, and my dogs love visiting the store. The employees are very friendly with the dogs, and I always love the opportunity to socialize them here. It definitely makes it worth shopping in store as compared to online.

Dear PetSmart Management,I am writing to express my disappointment regarding an incident that occurred on 12/18 between 5-5:10 PM at your store. The aisles were unsatisfactorily unclean, posing a biohazard with dog urine that seemed to be overlooked by the staff. Unfortunately, I tripped and fell, sustaining injuries to my knee and leg.Upon reporting the incident, Manager Amanda's lack of eye contact during our conversation and Manager Tori's dismissive response were disheartening. Fortunately, I spoke with Barbara before she left, and while she offered assistance, her primary concern seemed to be the location of the incident rather than the well-being of the myself.Despite writing out an incident report, I received only the bare minimum of assistance. I am compelled to express my concerns to corporate, especially considering the noticeable decline in store cleanliness since my initial visits.I believe the incident can be easily verified on security cameras during the specified time frame. My experience left me disgusted by the apparent lack of responsibility and care provided. I hope my concerns will be addressed promptly to ensure a safer and more customer-oriented environment in the future.

My poor dog had a miserable experience with a nasty, rude and disrespectful groomer named Serena. About an hour and half after dropping Sadie I went in to see how much longer she would be. Serena snapped at me and said “awhile” in a very nasty tone. She went on to say she was air drying my dog bc she didn’t like the dryer and that she was soaking wet and was snotty and disgusting w her tone. I told her I want my dog NOW . She got my dog who was DRY and shaking. Her nails had not been cut she was just sitting in a cage being ignored for no reason. Serena started an argument with me once again after I went to leave with my dog, this nasty young woman should not be working with animals. I will NEVER go back there again and will be filming content on the experience

I went in to the store to purchase some parakeets and all necessary accessories for the cage and their care. When I asked to purchase the parakeets I was INTERROGATED by Amanda (The Manager) with her wildly unprofessional blue hair and callus attitude. She stood in front of me and said how may do you want to buy, so I replied with “6” she then snickered at me, rolled her eyes around and said “why are you getting 6?” … I kindly replied that I wanted the birds to have a home with friends. She then went on and on and questioned my capabilities of owning 6 small birds and asked me personal questions about my living situation, my history with animals etc. QUITE BIZARRE!!! it was by far the most appalling and degrading encounter I’ve ever had as a paying consumer, from any establishment. Eventually, when I basically let her know through my body language that I wasn’t interested in her inquisitive and rude statements, she then followed me around telling me she would feel “more comfortable” if I bought various toys, purchased unnecessary items and did this and that to make her feel I was going to be a fit pet owner, almost like I needed to appease her in order to move forward. It felt almost like she was in a visible power struggle to tell me how it’s going to go down.First, let’s make something clear Amanda, this isn’t a screening process and I don’t need to answer any questions regarding purchasing animals sold in a retail space. It’s retail space because it’s dollars for precious goods exchange and that’s that. If you cared about where they were going you’d allow them to be adopted for free, hence warranting a purpose behind interrogating them and screening the customer. Second, you need to be aware of who you are a peaking to and you need to check your condescending, self righteous attitude at the door. You work for me, I am the customer and if I am asking you to purchase an animal you have a bar code on, that is the entirety of your concern and nothing more. I will never return to this establishment and I will do what I can to go as high on the ladder as possible to make sure I get a written apology from her. She was degrading, belittling, condescending and she made myself, my fiance and our kids feel extremely uncomfortable with a purchase we were all excited for. I strongly suggest Pet Smart evaluates who they have representing their brand, because I wouldn’t let this woman represent anything, let alone be around animal lovers or helpless animals in general.May I also add, their was a young kid that was also helping us grab the birds out of their enclosure and while he was helping she was harassing him, speaking down to him and chopping away at every bit of his humanity while in front of customers. Every time he did something she would shame him, correct him and yell at him. This is all totally uncalled for and that young guy should be promoted with the amount of patience, professionalism and poise he exhibited while dealing with his OVER BEARING, disgusting supervisor of a woman named AMANDA.I hope this reaches the right people and I hope something is done immediately. By the looks of the reviews it doesn’t seem like this is an abnormal for her and her behavior.

Visited this store because of some good reviews I saw. I had issues with my fish constantly dying and no pet store was giving me guidance on how to properly locate the issue. The girl Nicole in the fish department took her time to test my water, explain what’s going on, teach me about the different chemicals sold in store, and how to properly treat my tank to fix the problem. Since then, I have had no fish dying on me and my tank has never looked better. The associates here are well trained, knowledgeable, and are always there to help. To add, their fish tanks were beautifully clean and stocked along with their products. Thank you for the great experience, I will be back.

Has a very rude employee who thinks that she can talk to the customers any way that she wants. She used to be a manager but is now a sales person. I have had several problems with her in the past and it just gets worst everytime I go in. Never feel welcome when you go in there. Rather go to Farmingdale which is a much better and friendlier store even if it is further from my house. It is worth the trip. Someone needs to learn the meaning of customer service or at least look it up in the dictionary.

Nothing personal I have been a customer for years at this location and I have seen for the past few years even before the pandemic was to blame that the shelves are always bare lines could be all the way to the back of the store and only one cashier working! I have never even be more upset that when I went to buy my dogs food blue buffalo senior LID turkey and sweet potato and him not being a small dog needed a large bag but all was on the shelf was 4lb bags at 4 times the price if I bought the equivalent to the large bag I buy! I tried to talk with the manager on duty to order me a bag and i would even pay for it in full just have it ordered for me! He could have even offered to sell me the 4 lb bags at the same cost ration of the large bag! The only thing he said to me is I am sorry but I can’t do anything to help you and was rushing me out the door! I even said I guess I will take my business elsewhere and all he said was I don’t know what you want me to say with a attitude! I actually wasn’t asking for much just a little assistance and he said we are short staffed and what do I want him to do when he can’t! He even berated his cashier whom was new there because I asked a simple question of if I could order the food! I was calm & wasn’t even angry at him or raised my voice just an annoyed at the lack of service at this location! This isn’t customer service or how your treat your employees! BTW I will also be posting this to google reviews for others to see so they can hopefully wake this company up to the lack of support & training from this company from employees here!

I bought a 2.5 liter tank for my dwarf frogs. When I got home, I noticed the tank glass was foggy and had a milky film on it. I knew immediately this was a used tank. Just 2 days later, the filter starts going crazy and completely dies. I didn't bother complaining or returning it because the price reduced so low I connected the dots that it was because they knew it was used. But that's not what bothered me.The next weekend, I came in to get a different filter. It was my turn to pay, and the cashier-718608 a young lady called me over and starts ringing me up with no "hello", no "good morning", no "Did you find everything youre looking for?". The very basic customer service greetings you expect this young lady provided none of that. So I politely said, "Good morning, and how are you?" She gave me no eye contact and no response. Instead, she had a full-blown conversation with her coworker about his cologne being too strong. She rings me up, takes my payment, slaps my receipt in the bag, and calls for the next customer.  Not even a "Thank you for shopping at PetSmart." Sad to say, but I expect rude or impolite customer service at the DMV or Post Office but not in a pet store, which is also a family store. I hope this isn't the standard for this location.

Giving this Petsmart a one star review purely because of the awful degrading manager. She is the one with long brown hair with blue in it, this is not referring to any other manager. She was speaking in a dehumanizing way, with a raised voice to a customers, one middle aged gentleman and an elderly women. This person wasn’t even interacting with me I just feel terrible for the people who were interacting with her. She should be far away from the business of customer service. Very rarely do I come across someone being so nasty that I’ll write a review about it, but this was terrible.

Grooming Review: Steer clear of this location. Made an appointment online for my dog. The appointment time I selected was the last appointment of the night. Received a call from the staff (Ashley) to bring my dog in earlier, unfortunately that was the only time I could get him there. Without hesitation I was hung up on. I call back to ask why I was hung up on and was met with denials. Joke right! I ask for a manager and Karen the manager gets on to stick up for her employees. Great…right! Now she says I cursed at them. How convenient total lie!!! If you don’t want to work late and have Friday night plans then shorten your calendar! Don’t upset your customers and lie. Karen your a manager get control of your employees. Good luck I won’t be back.

The associates at this store are useless. I returned something but since I didn't have the card I used with me they gave me a store credit. I went to use it today for an online pickup order and it said there was no money on it. Which is weird because the item i purchased was ~$40 and I hadn't used it previously. I called the store to see if they can look it up and the woman said that after it leaves the store they aren't responsible for it and I told her it hadn't even been used yet so that obviously would have meant they didn't load it correctly. Anyways I just hung up because she did nothing to help. Absolutely useless.

After visiting this store I am always reminded why I now mostly shop online at Chewy or Amazon.The selection of dog foods is huge. Their shelf tags show they carry most every brand... yet none of it is on the shelves and rarely in stock.The pricing for toys and treats, for a store chain of this size, is not at all competitive. They are way over the top with these prices and I will never pay full retail+ when all these products are available at most other places much cheaper. Even their sale prices miss the mark.Lastly, they really need to work on customer service. While you might find a helpful wandering employee the ones that are trapped in the cashier cages are vicious. They are generally mean and indifferent and seem like they would related be anywhere but on the register. Hello, Goodbye and Thank you are phrases that are foreign to them though they rarely speak at all. I'm waiting for the day when I get bitten by one while reaching for my change from the register!Had to visit again since I forgot to order food online elsewhere. They had ONE bag of the bird food I buy and the package had a hole in it. The other food items there were pekkts not seed, all overpriced and not many on the shelf. There mist not be many bird owners in my area as this store remains horribly stocked. On a positive note they seemed to have hired a cheerful employee for the register. She was genuinely pleasant.

PetSmart in Levittown, LI NY is one of my favorites and I am lucky enough to live right by it. Not that the others aren’t any good but this one is always clean, organized, stocked shelves and consistently has available help in tome of need. If the line starts to grown on check out the immediately open additional registers. There is always a manager who is willing to answer all your questions thoroughly as are the associates. My only one little grip could be that the cart situation is a bit annoying at times. But when you walk in the door if there is not a cart available and you didn't see any in the parking lot mention to a mgr or associate and they will run out and get you one. They are extremely helpful and pleasant. I also feel that they have the best most competitive prices available in the area

Fish,frogs,shell crabs are for display. They told me to go back outside study for 1 hr before taking any of fish, frogs or shell crabs for kids. Blue dyed hair girl was very rude. Male Manager came and pointed red small crab and asked what kind of water this shell crab uses.. and blue dyed hair girl had to tell him “that is not a shell crab” he cant even tell the difference between shell crab and regular crab. Dumb people working not wanting to sell the pets. They are just there for display. Find other place to take new petsThey told me I need 10 gal tank for 1 frog and can not sell more than 1 frog because I have 10 gal tank because they are sensitive but They have 6 frogs in 20 gal tank there. Than I tried to get shell crab. They said they cant give me one because they said I need to get my water tested before taking shell crab.

I'll start this off by saying the girl who was on the step ladder in the fish area helped my boyfriend and I out by leading us in the right direction to get what we needed. We left satisfied in the aspect that we got what we went in for, but the cashier is what destroyed our experience.We waited on a long line (I know places are understaffed but when you have one cashier, a line of people, and employees hanging around doing nothing, it's a little obnoxious) and by the time we got called up, we could tell we weren't wanted. The female cashier had a Wendy's bag sitting right where our items were supposed to go, and a Wendy's cup that she kept drinking out of. She wasn't pleasant to deal with, and she asked if we wanted to sign up for the store card, and then sighed when we said yes, almost like it was such a problem for her (so why bother asking?!). She rung us up, throwing us an attitude, and made us wonder why we spent our money at this store.Overall, we were satisfied with the items in stock but you really need a new cashier. I worked almost 8 years in retail and my job never would have allowed Wendy's sitting around because it made it obvious that's what she wanted, not ringing up her customers.

Although I like the Pet smart location in Levittown, I am not happy with the groomers. I took my golden there three times. The first visit was for a bath so he could get use to the place, I was told he fell of the table. I brought him to a different groomer the next time for a bath & trim. I asked them to trim him but not to feather him since it was his first haircut. He came back all chopped up, I assumed it was because I asked them not to feather his fur. I brought him a third time for a bath & trim. I was called and told to head down he is almost done. When I went to pick him up the bill was higher, they were not going to say anything at first, then they said we charged you an extra 8 dollars because he was stubborn and we could not get him to the stations without help. A different groomer brought him out to us. She took the leash off and let him loose in the waiting area with an attitude. She placed her hand out for the tip. The door to the store was not fully shut, we had to shut the door and chase him around the waiting area to get a leash on him. He was shaved short like a lab, no feathering, all chopped up, they cut off his feathers and even cut one of his eyebrows. His stomach was shaved like for surgery. I usually don’t complain, but I called up to speak to the manager. I got the assistant and she asked if I would like a discount for the next visit. I told her I would not be back, and I was really upset that they let my dog loose in the facilities in addition to not getting what I asked for. She told me they had to be on leash at all times and this was a safety issue. I wound up speaking with the manager the next day. She was aware of the situation and saw it all on surveillance video. The manager was upset and offered to fully refund the grooming. I would not recommend bringing your dog here; they are not properly taken care of.
