Great news to anyone planning to see the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024. Frost Ridge RV Park is right in the main eclipse path. We had the good fortune of coming across Frost Ridge this past fall. We had made our way to Genesee County after many months on the road. By making Frost Ridge our base camp we were able to get out and explore the many fine attractions in the area. In addition, thanks to the great Frost Ridge management and maintenance staff, we had our Coachman winterized and stored there. We know our unit is safe thanks to the attentive and responsive staff.Looking forward to a spring return and gazing at the total solar eclipse from the comfort of our camp site. Hope to see you there and don’t forget your eclipse glasses.Nearby activities: Genesee County's many wine orchards and wine tasting rooms.Food & drinks: The Red Osier Restaurant, nearby Stafford, NY. Excellent food, service and old school steak house atmosphere.Noteworthy details: Great year around RV park with excellent management and staff.Safe, friendly and attentive.Excellent location near I-90.

I loved this place when we decided to become full time campers. Wonderful restaurant/bar, the promise of summer concerts, close to LeRoy, NY (a lovely little town with lots to offer), friendly and helpful workers, and nice campers. After we returned from an extended vacation, things had totally changed. The monthly rent went up, the winter storage went up, we were told we’d have to move our camper, no more concerts, green pool for at least 2 weeks, absolutely no activities, 3 broken windows in 2 campers and one vehicle by lawnmower, and many other things. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough. They put huge rocks in the driveway that were terrible to walk on. They told a handicapped veteran that he had to take down his deck (which he kept his 2 dogs on) and when he didn’t they took it down for him. Others were allowed to keep theirs. Just don’t understand how people can be so cruel. Tons of promises from the new owners but nothing ever came to fruition.

Just Beware this place is a Dump. It's not coincidence all the positive 5 Star reviews are posted the same day or a day apart. The New absent owners have employees create fake accounts for reviews. Way overpriced, the bathrooms are disgusting No one cleans them. The sewer overflows across the driveway on a regular basis. Most times the heavy chlorine water, not enough pressure to wash your hands in your camper, none the less shower. There is a big reason they are the only campground with seasonal openings. 37 seasonals left in October. Most campgrounds have a 2 year waiting list. Don't trust anything they tell you. They told me and everyone in section A we had to move our campers by October 15th because they were bulldozing it all level. Then putting in all new sewer and 50amp service. As soon as we moved. Three months later and nothing has been done. All lies.Noteworthy details: Drop by unexpected and get a tour. Look at the disgusting bathrooms for your self. 90% chance the store is closed with a number to call. The place is a dump

New owners. The place has zero to offer. Nothing for kids or families. Burden of activities is on seasonal campers who have to sell 50/50 to fund it. Broke down washers and dryers, green pool, nothing in the store(not that anyone is ever there). The don’t routinely pump septic holding tanks so sewage runs down the road. Restaurant and bar is gone. No concerts- only local bands playing in the grass cause stage, lites and sound are gone. Pictures on this web site are from previous owners. Stay away. Cost is&$$$$$$$$$ for nothing. Left my seasonal after 15 yrs for another place that’s 1/3 the price.Noteworthy details: Facebook reports that fireworks last year could not happen due to city governance. Foil it- you’ll find out no one ever applied for anything!

Reserved a tent camp spot for the night . Talked to them on the phone prior and told me the office will be closed but go ahead and find my spot. When we got there to find our spot, one of the employees came racing up to us on a cart and rudely asked “Can I help you”. Proceeds to show us our spot which wasn’t the one I reserved. We were the only ones tent camping and put us in a RV spot which had only a RV hookup. Poor maintenance , restrooms were disgusting & wasn’t people friendly . Highly Do not recommend .

UPDATED REVIEW: New owners 2023. There's really no amenities. The campers will put together events & that's a good time (only reason it gets 2 stars), but for the ridiculous amount they're charging there should be some entertainment provided. We used to get big name concerts, a restaurant & bar for way less. People are leaving left & right for a reason. We found a place with more amenities & over $1000 cheaper! We used to brag about how we had the best campground around, but that's not what you hear anymore. After 5 years we left as did my other family members (we had 4 sites there). Hopefully they can turn it around, but I'm not going to be waiting for it.

This park does need some work , the site we were in #1 due to all of the rain we had to use 4wheel drive to get out of the site because of the deep and soft mud ruts , the laundry room may be because it is located near the dumpster had many insectsroaches and ticks , plus maybe because the door doesn't seal very well. The bathhouse was fine and the people in the office were all extremely nice and welcoming. We heard there are new owners so we are sure there are updates to come. We did enjoy the stay and would stay here again if in the area.

A half hour after we checked in they started digging a trench around our camper, to upgrade the water line. They wouldn't finish till three days later. They could have asked if we wanted to move to a different spot. They said that they would turn the water off for a little while at about 3-4 PM. We had no water to wash dishes or showers. After 9:15 PM I tested and found that they neverturned it back on. (They forgot!) I mentioned to this to the staff and they said they would let the owners know, but we never heard from them. Very disappointed and more so - as it's not a cheap campground. Pictures day of arrival Friday, and trench by us not filled till Sunday. So communication could have been much better.---Well its been a month later, no followup email from The Jam at the Ridge after saying they would contact me via email, nor have we received any credits. So a little weak in customer care. I am sure they do a great business in the summer, looks like they have some good events there. We will not be going back.---

Owners are super friendly and welcoming. Cabins are clean and cozy. Bathrooms are frequently cleaned. Showers are clean. I come here when there isn't any concerts and it's a very peaceful and nice getaway. Always a different activities available for kids and adults. First responders weekend is always nice. They always offer a discount to military and first responders but this weekend is a nice way to go the extra mile to say thank you. Truly a special place. I hope it stays around for many years to come.

We arrived late night at the campground due to work schedules. We were attending a local wedding about 12 miles away. I must say, not knowing what to expect, when morning broke we realized that we were in a beautiful campground. Two camp employees that I must recognize are Sabrina and Kellie. From the beginning they couldn’t be any more helpful, assuring us that our campsite was easy to pull into for our late arrival. They actually called us on the way up to make sure we were all set. We had a fantastic lunch at their restaurant where both Sabrina and Kellie educated us on the area and this campground and what it has to offer with their concerts and activities. We WILL return to this campground with our family next year. We were totally impressed. Thank you

Negatives: Cabin was tiny, three sites stacked on top of each other. Pool was maximum 4"6' deep. Store was closed at times it should have been open. On site restaurant was only open certain days and for very limited hours.Positives: friendly staff, clean pool, quiet, no troublesome campers

The food here is unbelievable. By far the best chicken fingers I’ve ever had. Concerts are also a blast- such a fun and low key venue with great acts.

Awesome small outdoor venue. All spots have great views and close to stage, but be prepared for only a few food/drink options. One thing to be prepared for do NOT show up early: you can't tailgate at their designated off-site parking. We were told we couldnt even eat pizza at our truck or they would call the sheriff's for trespassing. Only to arrive at a venue with very limited food options.

This is a great, low key concert experience. Great music in the sunshine (much of the time anyways😉) morphs into music under the stars. The venue is a natural amphitheater. Each season the acts get better and better, great variety with something for everyone on the country-rock spectrum. Particularly good if you are a southern rock fan. Opening acts are of a very good quality. Come early and give some up and comers a try and don't forget your chairs unless you are going VIP!

Travel Nurse here. Me, my husband, & our 2 dogs stayed here for 9 months. Never been before the new owners, but I can say whoever had it last left a mess… The new owners are doing the best they can to get it up & running like a park should be! Management was great, very helpful anytime we needed anything, no matter the time of day/night. Lot was clean & well kept. They’re doing things around the park to make it more accessible, tidy, and appealing to campers! They have wet and/or dry cabins available! They have tent sites, pull-in, back-in, and drive-thru lots. They have 30/50 amp site. They have water only sites. Lots to choose from! The campground was also a ski resort before it was a campground & so there’s a great big ski hill that you can sled down (just from a short distance up) when it snows! There’s also a sugar-shack on site where one of the all-year campers taps trees to make fresh maple syrup which they sell in the store! It’s pretty cool (and delicious I might add)! I see many negative reviews written, and I can say there is very little about them that are true. You know how people can be… once they don’t have something exactly like they want it, they get their panties in a wad & start making things up. We stayed at this campground from Jan 2023 - Oct 2023 & never once did I see rats as mentioned in someone’s review. We even left open bags of dog food out at times & never had a rat problem. The grounds were well maintained. Yes, the pool had to be shut down a few times, but that was because we were basically having acid rain (smoke actually) from the fires in Canada that made the water unsuitable for a bit. Better to shut it down & be safe until the water is back up to par than to leave it open & possibly cause harm to people in it. Also, I see mention in other reviews about the office being closed & a number on the door. That’s because there’s only 2 people to manage the park on site at this time & I guarantee if you were one of those 2 people you wouldn’t be able to run around fixing things around the park, plus have time to go buy groceries so you could eat & still keep those doors open every single day of the week. However, many times when we needed something, we could call the number on the door & the manager(s) were there to help us in <5 mins. Usually they were at lunch, or fixing a busted pipe across campus, or ran to the bathroom… y’all just need to chill. The park was great in my opinion. Quiet nights, they had events on weekends sometimes. I heard before I left that they were going to start doing concerts for the campers & more events this next season! I’ll definitely go back when we are back up that way! Great folks that are willing to help & make things better for the customers to the best of their ability!Nearby activities: About 20 mins out from downtown Rochester, NY & about 1.5 hrs from Niagara Falls!Safety: Felt safe & often left the RV unlocked when away from it. Could also get packages delivered to a box outside the office (a dump box for anyone who had packages delivered) & never once had anything stolen.Walkability: Walked several blocks around the campground & never had any issuesNoteworthy details: Large lots, apple trees (also a previous orchard), big hill to play on, friendly neighbors (mostly), great service, laundry facilities available. Game room. Pool. Playground. Plenty of space to walk/play with a dog.

Great oasis in the cold. Needed a place to stay with kids after mid October and found these guys. Got a quiet spot away from most other campers and we are having a great time. The slow time doesn't have much going on, but we're here to visit family so just having propane, laundry and full hookups are all we need. The kids got to play in the snow and the lady said we could borrow their inner tubes for tubing when the next snow comes. The friendly people have been so nice. I even got propane after they were already closed up for the day. The owner said "just call", and he meant it. Came right down and we had hot water and a warm camper. What a great place to camp. We'll definitely be back.

Not impressed at all. The website and brochure are both very lacking. Knowing about the school bus ride from the parking area to the venue is important information for first timers, especially for those that have back issues. We will not be back, even if they were hosting George Strait.

First time experiencing the lodge at the Jam at the Ridge. Thursdays are special dinner plates for only ten bucks a plate! We visited the lodge and had the corn beef and cabbage plates. Delicious! The corn beef was nice and tender potatoes creamy cabbage and carrots cooked to perfection. And for dessert we had to try the home made pies!! I chose the peanut blossom my husband the chocolate creme. And it wasn't the usual tiny slices of pie that some resturants serve. Nice large slices. The server was friendly fast with serving resturant was clean and tables were placed in proper distancing. The cook came out to introduce herself to us and was helpful. Jam in the Ridge hosts concerts starting in May and there's all kinds of paraphernalia hanging on the walls. Also they have keroke for folks who are interested. We will return for dinner and looking forward to the concerts. Thank you Jam At The Ridge. I give you 5 stars

Great concert venue! Plenty of space on the lawn. Loved the shuttle service. Could have had more food vendors to keep the lines down but that's the only complaint.

Let me say this...the campground is very nice it is clean and tidy and very kid and dog friendly. The stage in which the bands play on is amazing. But I feel things were misrepresented the weekend i booked was advertised on the website as blues and BBQ there should be Blues music and BBQ food just saying....i didnt want to hear heavy metal music (which they were sating was southern rock and there was no BBQ either. I was looking forward to both and got none. I am not bashing the campground as a whole! I was just expecting one thing and got the complete opposite.

The site we had was on a side hill. Had to jack up the front of camp about 6 feet to get it level. Site was very very small. Couldn't open our canopy because we were too close to a tree. No room to sit around fire ring for a campfire. Picnic table was right up again the tree. No place to park your vehicle by your camper. Will never go there again.

This is a campground with a concert venue, that alone is pretty awesome. My wife and I came on my motorcycle and tent camped. When we booked the "site" we were informed it was just an overflow area which we said was fine as long as it was fairly level. It was far from level. We had so much trouble trying to navigate the area on the bike that a seasonal camper came to help us, told us we could set up behind his camper where it was flat. IDK what we would have done otherwise. The only other complaint would be about the rules with alcohol going in and out of the bar/concert area. You can buy alcohol at bar but if u open it or drink it there u can't go outside, if u go out and open it u can't go back to the bar. If you are camping you can enter front door of bar but only certain times. It was a definitely a bit clustered. We did order some food from bar which was good, and super convenient. With all that said this little campground is really nice, and the staff is super friendly.

I can only review as someone who has wintered here at Jam At The Ridge, although I imagine it is just as great during the summer months! The staff is great and Brian goes out of his way to try and accommodate you in anyway he can. They also have a military discount which I greatly appreciate! My kids loved the playground and using the old ski slope as a great sledding hill!

Camping was ok. We didn't have electric as promised but otherwise ok. Never found the bathhouse and the one bathroom was in dire need of cleaning. Otherwise we had a blast and felt it was still worth the money. But definitely can use improvements and updates.

Had a wonderful time at the ridge! Nice, quiet, clean campground. The kids loved the playground and the fact they could ride their bikes. Staff was friendly and accomidating. Ashton Hollow was amazing as usual but kids got too tired to stay for Josh Thompson. Great place to camp! Keep up the good work Greg and Dave!!!!!

Very small campground. I was disappointed. The live band was ok. But the staff there were good! Edit: reply to The campground. No, the reservation was in my fiance's name. Not mine. We were there. I know which campground we were at.

THIS IS NOT BIG RIG FRIENDLY! They expect 40' rvs to drive down dead end roads then back out the length of the road to leave.Power was spotty, as was the wifi. As the park filled up for their "concert" and people were connecting, the wifi would drop and the 50 amp power would fall to low levels. My parents have a 40' class A and were not happy with their experience. They left a day early! The concert was painful to our ears! Awful! Luckily, we didn't come for the concert but to visit family. The cabin we stayed in, was a 10x10 shed. No ac as the website suggested. The closest bathroom was an outhouse. The cabin was dirty. I couldn't begin to tell when it was last cleaned. We lasted 6 nights of our 8 night stay before we had enough. Then went to a hotel!Don't get me started on the permanent residents. 99.999% were RUDE. The guy next to the cabin made it perfectly clear we were not to park in HIS spot. We were told we could park next to the cabin, but he became irate. While we were out, he moved his car so that we couldn't park there. Petty. Our very large and long truck barely fit in front of the cabin. My parents will not return and neither will we. What a waste of money and an awful experience.I DO NOT RECOMMEND!
