Best hardware store on the planet. You cannot walk in this place without three people asking if they can help you. They know everything about everything, and bring you right over to where the item you need is located. And they're happy to help, unlike the folks in the home Depot and Lowe's, who run away from customers at all costs. What a pleasure to have this store in our community.

Always helpful helping you find what you need. Staff is always pleasant. Don't have to wait in an isle forever for someone to come help. Quicker than the big box stores. Also seem to have pool chemicals later into the season than Walmart, Lowes, or Home Depot.

I love coming to this store! Within seconds, someone asked if I needed any help, and later on, another employee offered to help me find what I was looking for. Compare that with the two "big boxes" nearby, where you can wander for hours without spotting anyone.And this store has everything - on this trip, I was looking for a particular lightbulb and I saw more varieties than I'd seen at the big store nearby.The checkout cashier was most pleasant as well, making for a great experience overall.

I went to this hardware store to get keys made. They were really polite and quick. I had the keys made and was done in ten minutes or less and when I got home the keys worked. They have a handicapped parking place and entrance. The store is all one level and parking is just outside the door . The price was reasonable. They have tons of hardware store merchandise and plenty of help to find what you are looking for.

I went to purchase a Weber Smokey Mountain 22" smoker. The staff was helpful and friendly but unfortunately they did not have on in stock. This is my favorite local hardware store. Everyone there is very helpful whenever I'm looking for something. I very much prefer to shop here than the blue or orange big box store 'hardware store' where the employees scatter like roaches when the lights come on every time you need a question answered. Blue and Orange might better just operate online instead of trying to maintain their B.S. 'brick-and-mortar' locations where their 'employees' do everything BUT actively do their jobs. Their jobs being to HELP EVERY CUSTOMER WITH ENTHUSIASM!

Was just here to pick up pellets for the grill.. I am very dissatisfied with the customer service here!! While I can’t speak for all of the workers, the one I had a conversation with was VERY rude and treated me as if I was an annoyance! I asked him (an older tall man who was in the paint section) if they had any more competition blend pellets for the grill. He rolled his eyes right in front of me as soon as I walked up to him, talked to me with an attitude, and threw his hands up in the air and pointed to the GRILLS - when all I did was ask a question about grill pellets very politely!! I will be avoiding this ace hardware from now on. If I were the manager I would have a talk with him - customers should not be treated like a nuisance... customers should also not be talked down upon and feel degraded after leaving a store... if you don’t like your job then quit!! I am a supervisor of a store and work in customer service all day. I would NEVER treat a customer like that, let alone tolerate an employee treating valued customers like that!

Was not helped by two lazy rude men, was pointed to the back of the store for what I needed... wouldn't accept a coupon for THAT specific store...quoted some rule that wasn't on the coupon.. no help to carry out the bulky items to the car...oh and did I mention they were rude? But at least they were nice to the lady behind me in line, who was white.

Nice to see the small independent stores survive. Found what I needed and was in and out in a Jiffy. Young employee wasn't much help. He rather talk to the other employee. I'll return just to keep the independent store going.

I love shopping at Shaker! The store has everything I have ever gone in for. It's so neat and organized.. Everyone is always friendly and very helpful. Parking is perfect, no driving in circles searching for a spot!

Very helpful staff, store has lots of odds and ends that most box stores don't carry. Can be hard to locate things at times but the seasoned employees can assist in locating exactly what you need

After two trips to Home Depot and Lowe's while doing a plumbing project, I had had enough. My most recent trip to Home Depot resulted in me sitting down on the ground as I sought to draw attention from any associate to ask a question. Horribly understaffed.I then went over to Shaker Hardware - the whole time kicking myself. I knew I should have gone here first. I got all of the answers to my questions and more. Completely knowledgeable, understanding, and jovial - I sort of just wanted to hang out with the staff but had to get back to the sink.
