Great pet-supply store with a wide selection of products. They stock a few varieties of 10+oz cat food cans - very useful when you're feeding a larger number of felines! They also have an *exceptionally* large selection of dog and cat treats, including an impressive assortment of the more niche or "fancy" types. I've always found the prices to be reasonable and the staff to be kind, knowledgeable and helpful.

I cannot say enough good about this place. I visited for the first time today. I came in with a clipboard and my 15 pages of research on specialty diets for my kitty, and the people working there were so helpful, offered tons of knowledge and recommendations, and didn't even roll their eyes when I sat down on the floor and started comparing cans of cat food. There was an extensive selection of high quality brands and options, and I left feeling slightly less overwhelmed than when I entered.

Love visiting this store, their selection is fantastic. I've stopped buying treats at regular grocery stores because the ingredients always seem shady, but here they have a lot of organic treats my pets go crazy for! They also have a lot of great sales and deals on treats and food.

I have a new puppy and it has been a very long time since I have had a dog. I went to various pet stores and felt very brushed off when asking about items that my puppy would need. The lady I purchased my puppy : Dallas from recommended Healthy Pet Center and they were amazing!!! Serena was patient, informative, kind, energetic and absolutely sweet! I literally threw away the discount tab I had on my key chain for another Pet Center because I no longer need their discounts since I will now only shop at the Latham Healthy Pet Center! I truly want to thank Serena for all of her kindness and the time she took with me to explain the benefits of different types of food and harnesses for Dallas. Absolutely perfect experience and she is an amazing representative for their store!

We love Healthy Pet Center! This is the only local place that carries Nutrisource dog food. They always have a good deals on treats and baked cookies for the dogs. Something I didn't realize is that there they have a dog bathing area for you to bath your dog.

Make a weekly trip here, it’s the only place I feel safe buying starch- free foods for my diabetic kitty- the employees are awesome but your Sunday crew is my favorite. Always super helpful. Thank you for all you do!

Love this store. The staff are so friendly and kind. They may not have the food you're looking for, they only carry brands they truly believe in, but if they can, they will special order something by request! I am so happy we switched to Healthy Pet Center. The team there is just a joy to be around, they are people who truly love animals. I feel so welcomed and happy every time I walk in!!

Went there because of the multiple great reviews about their awesome saltwater fish collection because I was looking for a specific fish. Also read from another review that they’ll order a specific fish if they don’t have it for you. Get there, no fish. Worker tells me they don’t have them anymore here after a worker from the north greenbush store told me they do have them in Latham. If you don’t have fish anymore take down all the 5 star reviews about your awesome fish selection to inflate the rating on your store.

Love this place. Ive been going for about 3yrs now. I usually go for my saltwater aquarium, they literally have the best prices in the capital region. Always have specials going on for fish, coral & other pet related items (cats, dogs, etc). Love being able to grab everything i need for my cat dog & fish in one trip. Support this company instead of those big chains (Pet Smart ect)!

Great selection of kibbles, treats, and toys.Sad that we've never noticed them before or we'd have been customers sooner.We'd much rather spend locally or help local businesses with our pet needs rather than support national, big box pet centers. Might be pennies to a couple of dollars more but it's going to stay local and that's where it counts. Not board room investor profit margins.

The staff here is awesome, Jess, Matt and Ryan know fish. They give great advice on everything related to fish compatibility to aquariums and water quality. Hope the store owner knows what great employees he has. Thank you everyone at HPC.

Visit was great as always! The staff are always so helpful and friendly. My Jose` got to see and visit with his foster mom that took great care of him until i adopted him from free to be me rescue. My Mouse got to see her foster mom last week also! Both foster moms are sisters, with their mom. Great people and a great rescue group!

Love this new store! My first choice in the Capital District for saltwater aquarium livestock and supplies.They have significantly expanded their saltwater offerings. Must be the biggest in the area. Friendly help that's not pushy! Check them out.Also have a huge selection of dog & cat foods.Fresh and clean store. Check them out!

After finding the ingredients in my dog's food had changed, I wanted to switch to a new healthier food. After sifting through reviews on Amazon I chose a food that looked good on paper, but didn't live up to they hype. The "raw" food was very scare in the bag. Went to Healthy Pet Center in Latham and talked to Serena who was AMAZING! Super knowledgeable about all the options from raw to kibble and everywhere in-between. Here's the bonus - prices were less than Amazon on the food I chose. Highly recommend!

I've been going here for awhile. I always have a good experience. This is my goto place for my saltwater and freshwater supplies. I wish they were around when I started out, I would of learned more saved a ton of money, and less tramatic.Kimber who works the aquarium section was a Vet tech and is extremely knowledgeable about aquariums and how to keep your water and fish healthy and content. If you have any issues with your tank find her! Always pleasant, and honest. Will be a life long customer!

These guys have a nice selection of saltwater equipment, coral, and fish. Everything is reasonably priced and the staff is super helpful, honest, and knowledgeable. I won't go to another fish store in the area unless absolutely necessary.

I'm never displeased with this place! I have now been to 2 of their 3 locations (literally passed many closer pet shops and a wal mart, nope!) I LOVE Healthy Pet Center as do my babies! Everyone is so friendly and extremely knowledgeable, and always have recommendations and really take their time with you wnd your fur babies to see what is best for you! I feel like family walking in and am typically greeted by name as are my dogs! Their selection is the best, truly. I love their buyers programs. I literally don't care how far out of my way it may be, I will never go anywhere else!

They are very friendly, but even with nobody in the store, you aren't permitted to touch the items on the shelves to look at them. There are ample covid protections, but I felt a bit like a criminal, being watched to be sure I wasn't walking the wrong way down an isle or touching the merchandise on the hooks in the isles. There wasn't anyone in the store, to speak of. Odd, but maybe I'll wait for covid to pass before visiting again. I suggest they at least allow people to touch what they intend to buy.
