I’ve been coming to The Ice Cream Shack since I was young and came from NC to visit my grandma in the summers. She is no longer with us, but I was so glad to see this place is still open on my recent visit with my mom. The best ice cream and memories! Cash only just FYI, and highly recommend!

We like visiting ice cream stands , and we enjoy this one. The only reason for the 4 star rather then the five star is the fact that there cone selection could be improved. They have a regular wafer cone and then a sugar cone , but they are about the same size. So if you get a large 3 or 4 scoop cone , good luck. It's gonna be on a very small cone . Your almost forced to pay the extra 25 cents for the cup and spoon. I don't know about you but when I go out to a stand for ice cream getting a cone is part of the experience. I would like to see them add a waffle cone to the menu. Either way it's a nice place to stop and they have a couple picnic tables to sit at with a decent amount of parking space. Enjoy.

I was disappointed in the number of flavors this year. In past years, we would go to The Shack to find flavors that weren't available at other ice cream locations. That is not the case this year.

Kids love the icecream. Staff super friendly and helpful. Lots if great choices plus they have a doggie cone for the pup!

My hometown favorite!!I grew up coming here and while I now live a few hours from Lakewood, I can't imagine coming home over the summer and not paying a visit to the shack. They serve Perry's Ice Cream which really hits home with nostalgia for me. The serving sizes are generous and I cannot think of a better place to stop on a warm summer day ❤️

Friendly service and delivers on what it says it is. My issue here is that Perry’a ice cream has monopolized lake Chautauqua, likely utilizing the benefits of economies of scale to crowd out all ice cream manufacturers that have the potential to deliver ice cream with actual flavor. I am sure the management of this establishment are fantastic and I appreciate their passion for bringing families together through ice cream adventures. However, I would greatly appreciate a new ice cream vendor (ie. Hershey’s, Addie’s, homemade). In the meantime I won’t be returning.

There are a variety of choices. I had a mint chocolate chip milk shake, which was comparable to all of the very good tasting mint chocolate chip milkshakes I have had in my life. The cones and dishes are made with big scoops of ice cream, so be warned not to get even a medium size, unless you can handle a lot of ice cream. The parking lot is not big, but the service is pretty fast if you are in a hurry. There are three to four picnic benches if you want to enjoy your ice cream.

I ordered a small butter pecan for $4.00.I received a pint of ice cream on my cone!Big chunks of pecans everywhere. Friendly servers and a beautiful summer evening. It almost felt...normal.I love "The Shack".You will too!😛

Always great. Friendly and quick. Order one size smaller than you think you can eat ! Cash only. All employees wearing masks as required by the Governor's order (this is July 2020). Most of the Customers were masked.

Service was with a smile and the Perry's Ice cream was delish. The outdoor seating left something to be desired. The umbrellas didn't provide shade and there's a bit of mud. Just get ice cream here.

Didn't honor the ice cream cards we collected buy 10 get up to $5.00 free. THEY DON'T COMBINE CARDS. Bad business practice right there. . I still bought 10. WON'T be going back there. BEWARE........
