Harbor freight is a great place for budget friendly tools and supplies. Always comparison ship and read reviews. Their US General toolboxes are tough to beat especially when combined with discounts. Just remember they do have several "made in china" shortcomings. The staff is usually friendly and helpful often suggesting discounts and upcoming sales. One more thing-its not really a "tool rental" place as they have restocking fees on many items to ensure customers don't rent for free. Their Icon line of tools tryst to seem top quality but they aren't although great for most users. It would be great if they had additional sizes to expand your sets. You are really stuck with what they offer. Hint: when they warranty an item that is part of a set they simply pull a set off the shelf, remove the item and use that as the replacement. The set with the missing part then is put on sale "as-is". So if you look at their as-is tools you can see where failures have occurred (sure there is theft but how many shoplifters are really after say, a 10mm socket?

Nice environment but I went in and you have to buy a membership to get the prices on sale which is a real bummer because they do put the prices underneath and Mark things on sale but you have to buy a membership for the year which is really sad because I got up to the register and thought I was going to get the store prices that was listed underneath and I was unable to because I didn't remember membership

I love it for the shear amount of tools and variety in one store. I've never had any issues with quality but the whole need a coupon or be in a special club in order to save any decent amount of money is what makes them kinda suck.

Harbor Freight had exactly what we were looking for compared to Lowes. It definitely is worth checking out if you can't find what need. The people are polite and helpful. Very organized an clean.

Only place my husband buys his tools. If they carry it that's where we go. Prices are cheaper and we especially purchase Pittsburgh brand when we can as many of those tools have lifetime warranty's. We also get special pricing and deals/coupons by becoming a member of their loyalty club which we purchase every year. It's worth it if you buy tools more than once a year.

Sometimes I feel like this is becoming my second home. Decent tools at pretty great prices. Somethings (like the more expansive items) I recommend purchasing a warranty. But all in all you can save a lot of money if you are the do-it-yourself type of person. The staff here are always friendly and ready to answer any questions you might have.

Very good pricing on most items & special prices on certain tools that varies from month to month. Always a pleasure to go in even if your just planning ideas & what you'll need to get the job done...

Not too bad for the price. The quality of the tools have gotten a lot better over the years. Used to get power tools here for a one and done job as they were so cheap but then broke after a few uses. Now they last and perform just as good a the named brands as they are manufactured by the same company anyways.

My 1st visit to this store. Love it!!! Clean, orderly, well stocked and the staff very helpful-- had to ask where a couple things were and associate knew exactly. Got a trunkload of goodies for about half price using coupons. Found everything on my list-- and a few things ended up in my cart that I didn't have on it!!! Checkout took a little long, but then they were swamped & I had a huge cart load.

For discount tools they are great. Im a contractor and occassionally I need an inexpensive tool for a one off job. These guys great. Make sure to get the extended warrenty just in case. Staff is also great. Just always keep in mind these are inexpensive tools. They've never disappointed me.

I like Harbor Freight a lot, despite many of their tools being imported from China. They obviously have enough oversight to make sure what they sell is well made (at least in my experience), not to mention at much lower prices than big box stores.....who also sell a lot of made-in-China products. Although I've never had to return anything due to quality, when I've bought something that didn't suit my purpose, there's never been a hassle returning it. Finally, this HF (Lakewood, NY) has knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly staff - icing on the cake!

Came to shop for a dolly. They had two that would have perfectly met our needs but despite having one on display, they had neither in stock. They would not sell the display cart. Silly question, what is gained by displaying product you can't sell? Very frustrating! This is why more people are shoping online.

Awkward experience with manager and cashier tonight. Wouldn’t honor Black Friday coupon on a qualifying item, had to argue my point. Not fair love harbor freight love the tools and have been shopping here frequently multiple times a week. They helped me but in the end it should have to be this difficult.

Wonderful variety of stuff related to the garage and around the house hobbies, as well as other random goodies! Always finding something I didn't know they had. Very helpful customer service the majority of the time, occasionally understaffed in the evening though.

Bought some Pittsburgh tools recently and I'm very pleased with them I am going to continue to buy more until I get my nice tool collection The Lakewood New York Harbor Freight store the employees are very polite and friendly and they have just about everything you need in tool supplies or shop equipment I would recommend Harbor Freight to all my friends and family & anybody out there who is looking for them type of supplies

Putting a star rating on a place that sells cheap Chinese stuff is hard as the stuff is, well cheap Chinese. But they do have a HUGE selection of stuff, if you need a weird tool for the brakes on that car, they'll probably have it, it may only work once but it did the job.i needed some water jugs for our camper and a couple of tarps, they had them cheap!I would be careful with purchasing anything of value like a generator...

Great service and staff, I went to harbor freight the other day. To buy a Predator engine for my snowblower to replace my Tecumseh engine. The lady helped me out by giving me a coupon for the engine that’s. Originally 119 dollars I only had to pay 99 dollars plus tax.
