The Starbucks of Lake Placid! It’s well, just another Starbucks! But that doesn’t mean it’s not deserving of a good review! Clean, quick, well spaced out, and great atmosphere. Takes mobile order too! If you are up in the area and need your Starbucks fix, then this location is definitely the place to go! Check it out!

Ordered a Cappuccino, requested to make it extra hot. The barista said “its already made” with an attitude! She could have just put it under the steam nob and done with what i requested. I asked for 2 sugars, was given 1. The almond biscotti was a complete waste of money! This place wasnt my first choice for coffee however it was the only place open. Not recommended unless you dont have any other option!

The employees at Starbucks are not only great at their job but even better people. Jay, the manager, has been more than welcoming since the day we met. Joellen, Tucker and the rest of the baristas always make sure everything is running smooth. I really like this Starbucks

Can someone please explain why customers now have to pay more in order to not get their drinks watered down as much? Crazy how you end up paying more just to get a drink the right way and it’s still watered down. The staff was disrespectful when complaint was brought to their attention and refused to correct it in any way. Extremely sad and disappointing that a company has to resort to cutting corners and ripping off customers to make their own profit.

Service was OK but the back counter was a mess. Not the cleanest of Starbucks. Can't blame the staff as it was super busy and they were understaffed. The coffee wad good.Parking: Hard to park at this location during peak season.

Fine for mobile order, but it wasn’t busy when I walked in so I ordered a cold brownie to go. The cashier immediately pointed me to the mobile order area and I had to wait while all of the mobile orders were processed. After a couple of minutes I walked back over to ask if she could just take it from the case and the clerk, seeing me walk back over, immediately went to her coworker to whisper something and the coworker turned to stare directly at me and they both turned back around to ignore me. This irritated me so I asked for a refund rather than stand around and wait. Another worker then turns around and says, “It will literally take 8 seconds” and throws the brownie on the counter. Not great customer service, I didn’t know it would be too much to ask of a cashier standing at the counter looking bored, with her arms crossed to just go out of her way kindly, rather than going mean girl because I didn’t understand the employee pecking order.

Worse Starbucks I have ever been to. I dealt with some worker named Joellen, and she was unbelievably rude and disrespectful to me. I tried ordering my usual drink and she acted as if it was an inconvenience to even be taking my order. Starbucks definitely needs to up their standards when it comes to hiring employees. This employee made me feel so uncomfortable being there. Definitely will not go to this Starbucks again!

Employees are kind, courteous and efficient! Drinks and food are always great and in the small chance there is something wrong, they have no problem fixing it or re making the item. I'm here probably 3 or 4 days a week and every staff member I've ever encountered was great.

my past experiences have been worst like one after another. visited this place for breakfast and had to order for 12 people and i know it could be a lot of stuff but ordering in bulk or one by one is the same thing right, first the place was moderately busy and while i was ordering most of the food items were not available and so ordered whatever was available, with the coffee order i went really slow while ordering so that she does not get confused and also triple checked/ repeated the order and still we ended up missing 2 coffees, 1 was paid for and another was not in the order it self.you know how disappointing it could be, not getting coffee and when you get to know that after reaching home. the service could be better.

The online listing and mobile ordering shows closing time 5:30pm on a Thursday where in reality this location is open until 9:00pm. When I told that to the barrister, all she said was “Oh”. I hope the management will see this review and will fix the listing. This location is completely empty after 5:30pm. I wonder if listing has anything to do with it.

I’m a local and a regular here. I can tell you that the staff is very limited which makes for limited hours. However, the staff that does come to work each day are very friendly and professional. My drink is usually perfect but they will always remake if I need them to. Only issue I have is they don’t always post the hours on the door so this gets frustrating for the customers.

How convenient to have this right in downtown Placid. Even when we stayed outside of town for a couple nights we still were able to pop downtown and park right next door to get our coffee every morning. Made our drinks right every time and we’re fairly quick!!

Went to Starbucks to grab quick breakfast on my way to work. Placed a mobile order in plenty of time to have it ready when I arrived, which it was. However, the staff blatantly Ignored my inquiries as to whether or not it was ready, even though I could see it sitting there. Cut to 10 minutes later when a third employee came out of the back room. Unfortunately this is one of many experiences like this more recently than not. Constant line, understaffed, and can’t keep up with business. I do not recommend going here if you’re on any sort of schedule!

Apparently, when they mess up your order, they cannot take the drink back if you took a sip out of it!!! This lady told me yesterday. (Why ? You planning to give the drink to someone else lol?!!). I've been going to Starbucks for 15+ years. Never heard that rule before.If you mess up customer's order or they are not happy with the drink for some reason, you take it, you trash it and you make a new one, free of charge. That's it!That lady has no customer service and doesn't know how to treat the customers equally. 0 star

I mean, it's a small-town location; I kinda expect a certain down-home warmth. However, the staff were full of extra hospitality when I was in last week.I'd generally rather hit up a locally owned coffee shop, but they got the vibes just right for this guy....is what I'm sayin'.

We love our Starbucks, so after rolling into town we sought them out for a quick refresh. Let me say the staff was super friendly and fast but WOW the disappointment from the facility. This place was really dirty from restroom to coffee bar it was a mess. Sugar, cream, and coffee everywhere, just not the standard one would expect.

Yes I know it is in a high volume tourist area. And I know that covid really slows down productivity. But this Starbucks is really slow. Only 3 staff working the several times I was there this week where most SB's have 7 workers. And yes as another reviewer mentioned I walked in to order, waited 15 minutes to be served and was out before the people that were standing there before me that had ordered on line.

My girl is a Starbucks fanatic she'll go 80 miles for a coffee. She said the counters were dirty very run down. She was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the store. Just because you're a business tourist spot doesn't mean you can't be clean in this time and age.

As of Feb. 1 I was fortunate to assume a new life title, "retired." After living in Lake Placid for 13 years I finally began to frequent our local Starbucks. Staff is very pleasant, patient, and very helpful. Any question I asked, they had the answer. Never been disappointed with any of their suggestions! It has become a weekly hangout and provides an awesome environment for reading, laptops, cell phones, and of course a " Great Cup of Coffee ! "
