Cool pet place in Lake Placid. Very helpful. They beat us out of a sale price, didn't realize it until several hundreds of miles later when back home. But, it's all good.

What a great pet supply store with such friendly people! We bought the warmest down winter coat for our skinny little shivering Chihuahua rescue from Texas - saved the day! And got some good doggy CBD for her anxiety as well!

This is the second year in a row we've vacationed with our dog in the Lake Placid area and the second time we have visited Man and Beast. Great store, fantastic selection of anything and everything you could want for your pet, and very attentive and personable staff. This year our dog had some tummy issues. The staff and owner were quick to offer help and took the time to make some product suggestions. He was feeling better in less than a day. Wish we lived closer so we could visit more often.

Awesome staff with outstanding customer service. My wife and I came to Man and Beast to see if they had a cooling pad for our pug. Along with many cooling pads in stock, the staff recommended a cooling collar to help keep our pug cool. If anyone is looking for dog supplies from food, to toys, and to accessories, I strongly recommend Man and Beast.

This is by far the best pet supplies store I have ever visited. The owner cares about the quality of the pet food that she sells. She screens the brands and products. She is also very knowledgable about each product (probably because she does a lot of research before she puts them on the shelf). She was very kind and helped me figure out what kind of food was the best for my senior dog. Also, the prices are amazing (much cheaper than chewy where I usually shop). I wish we lived closer to this store!

Very cute local pet-friendly Lake Placid pet store. The staff was super friendly and helpful in helping us find what we needed for our dog without giving us any pressure. The store has tons of cute pet clothing, toys, food, and treats made locally. They carry high quality products at comparable to online prices with the added bonus of your pet trying them on or picking out their own favorite toys! Highly recommend checking them out and supporting the local businesses ❤️🐩

A little bit of everything for my dog. I got a very nice saddle bag setup for her so she can carry her food, water, and poop bags when we go hiking and bike riding. And a few toys that I'm sure she's going to love. Decent prices.... Nice people.

Patiently waited for a simple special order. Finally called store after 3 weeks. Wrong item came in, but still wasn't reordered. We drove 10 miles to buy locally rather than online, but attitude for caring about local business was lacking. We're getting it from online after all, and wasted a month (and really needed it before now).Specialty dry pet foods are crazy expensive. Would cost over two grand a month to buy food for our 3 dogs there. Plus cats!

Our dog injured her paw while hiking and we were able to stop in and get her some gauze and liquid bandage. Quick and easy and my boyfriend said the workers were helpful and knowledgeable.

If your a dog owner and in the lake placid area you must stop at Man and Beast. Store has everything you need or could want for your 4 legged friend. They have a great selection of food and treats, collars and leashes, toys and games for your dog, as well as any gear like back packs and flotation devices. The store associates are very friendly and knowledgable. Check it out.

Wonderful pet store filled with high quality pet food and treat needs (acana, weruva, ect) and items both utilitarian and unique. A vast assortment of dog leashes, collars and harnesses to fit every size dog, dog blankets and clothing, beds, portable pools, ect.Cat collars, cat condos and trees, scratching posts, ect.Also gifts for pet lovers including adorable shirts and hoodies.I highly recommend a stop if you are in the area and have pets or love someone who does. If you need it, this store probably has it 💕 My only wish is that I lived closer and could visit more often!

We stopped at this store to find some bug spray for our pup, and we came out with two treats and bugspray! Great prices, and an awesome slection of products ranging from afordable to higher priced. The owner helped us find the spray we were looking for, while the pup was picking out her treats!
