I used to work for Whole Foods not too long ago. All I could say is my experience was HORRIBLE!! VERY HIGH PACED, AND GAVE ME A HARD TIME!! Everybody except for a few people were rude, unprofessional!!. Angela and Jeff, team leaders of the prepared foods department don't have a clue what they are doing to run this department. Jose the store leader was always in there and was always angry. The cook, James was always running his mouth to other team members and to team leaders complaining about everything. Thank god I took my work experience elsewhere. NEVER WILL I EVER SHOP OR WORK HERE AGAIN!

This store is clean and well stocked. The prices are high but that is expected in Whole Foods. The parking lot does tend to fill up quickly so you may have to walk from another part of the lot to get to the store. The store is handicap accessible.

Whole Foods is the best market out there today !! The selection overall is wonderful ! There are so many choices. I personally appreciate the vast amount of items that are vegan / gluten- free. I depend on Whole Foods for my personal dietary needs. Everyone working there is happy to help with any questions. I couldn't be happier with Whole Foods !!

Plenty of parking in a safe area, the store itself is very clean and well staffed. Some good deals can be found if you look for them.

With a stop and shop in just about every town and the growing selection of organic produce, it was always the butcher and cold case that made Whole Foods worth the drive. Whole Foods' used to be the best (often only) option for quality meat, but the grass-fed, free range options have dwindled dramatically over the years. Now the cases are always nearly empty and rib-eye and maybe 1 or 2 random cuts are all they ever have.

This Whole Foods market has really slipped, not sure if it's the entire chain as a whole or just this location. They leave the almost expired produce on the shelf now until the last minute, while leaving the 'fresh' produce in the back. I've personally seen employees condensing blueberry & strawberry packs with thier hands to keep them out longer than they should be (they also haven't had decent strawberries in over a year) and that includes in season. The same goes with the lemons, some of the employees will grab some non- mushy and fresh ones from the back if you ask nicely. The giant bags of Broccoli & Kale expiration dates are just about the next day (but in the back, where an employee grabbed one for me) the expiration dates were about 12 days later. They now started doing the same with the meat department, you can see it's not nearly as fresh as it used to be (it used to be A+ it's now a C- and that's being generous) you're also lucky to get 3-4 days on the vacuum packed chopped meat, where you should be getting 10-14 days. Bottom Line - if you travel across multiple towns to shop here... it's just not worth it any longer.

You know what you’re getting when you shop at Whole Foods.. A huge selection of wonderful health food products, great fresh organic produce, healthy prepared foods (including pizza, sushi and a huge salad bar).... But all of these come with a HUGE price tag.. That’s just the reality of shopping here.. Their acquisition by Amazon/Bezos hasn’t dropped the prices either.. If you are savvy and pay close attention to their prices you can really do well by shopping here.. You’ll occasionally find sale or discounted items that offer great savings, and if you’re an Amazon Prime member you can save a percentage on your entire purchase. But ultimately there are certain things that you can buy here that you just won’t find anywhere else.. For our family it’s definitely worth the effort and the trip.. Although we always combine our shopping trips here with a stop (first!) at Trader Joe’s across the street.. Its helpful to check their selection and prices first, and pay a little more at Whole Foods for the few items that you can only find here.. Besides the high prices, shopping at the Lake Grove Whole Foods location is a great way to support and supplement a healthy diet and lifestyle of you live on the East End of Long Island..

Clean, products are well presented. it's just too expensive. If I didn't have so many other options to shop at, it would be my go to shopping. Nice food to go thats for sure, and that's reasonable.

Exactly what you expect from a Whole Foods. Definitely look at peak business hours because it can get really crowded. Parking lot can be a little chaotic during peak business hours too especially since they opened the huge 5 Below and a vet hospital next door.

It's everything you've come to know and love about the idea of a fresh market with a wide range of products. They don't always have everything in stock, but you can rest assured that whatever IS in stock is as fresh as possible. The fish is a better quality than my local fish monger.

The absolute rudest "marketplace shoppers" they cut you off and there is nothing on the shelves because they are glomming it all up just for it to sit in bags up front. So if you dont live in the 3 mile radius, the market place shopper delivery radius, dont bother shopping here.

Learned something new... Just because it's Quinoa & dark chocolate, doesn't mean there's not a lb of sugar! Oops. Thought it was a HEALTHY snack, then enjoyed it anyway! Lol Will definitely be back for the healthy stuff, that we go there for!

Hot n healthy foods to choose from are just one great thing about the store. Unique healthy foods throughout. Prices are fair on most things but can seem unreasonable to others. Look around and decide for yourself. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ IMO

Just watched a lady at the hot bar let her toddler grab food straight from the self serve with his bare hands so... Definitely never eating from there. What happened to the person that prevented this from happening?

Great shopping experience. Love the cleanliness! The store associates are very friendly and helpful. I enjoy coming out with something new and different every time! My favorite section is the sushi. They roll them right in front of you and I have tried just about every one, and almost love them all!

Worst Whole Foods ever. Jose the store manager has a Napoleon complex is like 3 feet always angry and misogynistic. Angela Panullo who can barely walk from prepared foods the manager hires awful people like my ex James who told me he spits in the hot bar food while preparing and the salads. Rude people for no reason. They’ll take down your review too, they hate the truth. Should be investigated honestly. Disgusting unsanitary can’t wait for it to be closed down.

I went to get a sandwich from the deli. And this “woman” named “Caryn” that had a nice mustache as well was extremely rude to me. The service was horrible. I really feel bad for husband if she has one. Nice smoker voice cussing under her voice too. Didn’t fit the Whole Foods experience at all. Tell her there’s a gym next door too. I definitely will be taking this further.

I bought organic potatoes, thought that it would be good quality, for such a high price this is what I got. The price of the potatoes don't match the quality.

Found everything I was looking for. Not as expensive as I thought it was going to be. Store is clean and organized. Fairly easy to find what you are looking for. I've been in this location a few times and most of the people are very friendly. I had one bad experience with an employee when I went to check out. Two employees were standing around at a register chatting. I asked if the girl was open. She immediately replied with a very harsh and rude attitude by saying "We have lights on the register that lets you know if they are open, so if you can see mine is off, so no I'm not." Could've been handled with a simple, "No, I'm sorry I just closed. You can go to the next register with the light on." If you are going to be in the customer service industry make sure you know how to talk to people.

Bought a bag of tangerines and when I got home eat one. Not realizing they were covered in black mold. Threw up 30 minutes after. Returned to the store and 2 managers finally came out and did nothing to help me.

Was there the other day waiting to be helped at the bread table for over 10 minutes. Workers were too busy with customers serving coffee. I left without help. Looked like there was 1 person running the whole department. That was never the issue a couple of years back.

The pastries I bought were old, stiff, and utterly underwhelming. The fresh food isn't that fresh. But the store is clean and well organized

I love this whole foods. They have just about every obscure health item you could think of. Goji berries, cacao nibs, cashew kefir, tempeh, etc. Even special parking for my Prius though the fuel efficient sign is subjective and therefore hard to enforce. I like that I get cash back on my Amazon card now but that could be a bad thing lol.

Though I live on the east end, I've been shopping at WFM Lake Grove since the store opened. Unfortunately, the place just isn't what it used to be, particularly in the realm of customer service.1. When returning some cans and bottles today, I waited while the CSR scanned each one, refusing some that weren't in the system. I'm certain that I purchased these items at the store, though it may have been a while ago. Normally I just give my count and I'm all set. Given the prices at this place, getting micromanaged on 50 cents worth of bottle returns is ridiculous.2. The fishmonger can't smile for anything and is usually cranky. It seems like he hates being there. If you are not a people person, find another job.3. My final issue concerns the pickers for delivery orders. They are often "pushy" and rude, totally focused on getting orders and forgetting that in-person customers are also in the store. It's not a warehouse.I can't wait for Wegmans to open nearby next year. At that point I probably won't have to even bother with WFM.
