the place seems under construction and had no pets except some parakeets and one ferret. The guy who checked us out was really nice though. Couldn’t really find anything and they were kind of slacking with the recommendations on alternatives for cat food brands once they stopped selling the brand I use. I really like Petco and just kind of hope they were in a transitional phase. The DC dog toys were really cool though.

Extremely helpful staff. Not to mention I cannot believe how inexpensive it was for a yellow leopard gecko. The only issue I had was that they did not have any crickets in stock to feed the animal I was purchasing. But I cannot complain too much with a cute face like that. Daisy, the gecko, is so funny.

Rebekah, the entire staff and management are the nicest group I've seen in a long time. They treat Dolce as if he were theres. The grooming prices r fair.DEFINITE MUST.....

This is a really nice location to get a bunch of things done. The store is really clean and we'll stocked with lots of knowledgeable staff that knows what they sell and have in stock. If you're looking for something specific, just ask, they will most likely know what it is you're looking for. They do have a grooming salon and you do need to show proof of rabies vaccine to get your dog groomed. Parking is shared amongst all of the businesses so park anywhere you'd like.

This Petco was fantastic!!!. The Grooming department rocks. My dog had a full service grooming . Done in 2 hrs. The best my dog ever looked. The groomer was fast, friendly, kind,and super sweet. Pricing was great for the service we received. I recommend this store in lake Grove right next to whole foods and across from the mall. I'd give it 5 stars if I could. Enjoy your visit if you go. My doggie and I did.💥👍👍👍👍👍🐶

I was going to walk out because I thought the pet stroller I was interested in had plastic wheels. The kind saleswoman asked if she could help me. She offered to open the box for me and see. She did a great job! The wheels were rubber! I bought the stroller. I was ready to leave but because she went the extra mile to help me, I was able to buy the product.

With the coupon discount, it was well worth ordering on line and picking up in store. No issues and everything went smoothly. Ordered in the day and picked up in the evening. We also like the idea that they hold the order for 5 days so if you can't get there, no stress.

They have a great selection of foods for all sorts of creatures. Prices are decent. Lots of other great products, toys, leashes, clothing, medications, crates, bedding... I ordered medication online but when I picked it up in store it was 50% more than listed online. I am hoping to get a refund.

Great service, a vast collection of toys and treats. I just got a dog 1 month ago in October 2020 and I bought him a lot of clothes and toys as well as treats here too. Overall review: 5/5 stars.

I am extremely happy with the care and assistance I received after purchasing a guinea pig from this Petco. My guinea pig who developed a respiratory infection within the first 30 days of bringing her home and the staff, most importantly Sean, helped give her the best love and care. I have since gotten her back and she is extremely healthy. I am very happy with the staff and their love for animals.

Great management but the other staff gave a vibe of unprofessionalism. I called a couple of times on a Wednesday at 3:00pm regarding a grooming service , no one picked up the phone. I just went out of my way with my anxious dog in the car to see if they could clip his nails. When I arrived , I asked an older women with blonde hair who maintains the registers if they were doing grooming services and she couldn’t answer my question yet the lights were off in the grooming room and the door was locked. At the end it took two employees one manager and ten minutes of waiting for an answer to my question. I then found a dog harness in the 50% off clearance bin. I was charged full price and then on the way home I called back and told them about the 50% orange sticker and a young man told me if I come back they could take it off for me. I turned around and again went back to the same cashier with blonde hair. I told her about the charge in a calm manner and she then became aggressive with me raising her tone and starting using her finger to point which made me uncomfortable. After being hesitant to give me the 50% I then decided to return the item all together. It wasn’t worth 16.00 for a medium size dog leash. I hope they train their staff to pick up the phone and inform them on grooming services so other people don’t go out of their way with an anxious dog in hopes of the service being open. This is not the first petco that has staff who simply don’t care and don’t care to know. Only management was nice and pleasant.

They never pick up. I’ve called over the course of a month and they always send me to voicemail. I leave the message and they never return the call. The first time grooming was okay, second time they didn’t even brush my dog’s teeth, I called and tried to get another appointment and they said they would return the call and never did.

I come here for my cat food and cat supplies. It's a typical Petco. Nothing extraordinary but nothing bad either. They always have my cats food stocked(blue buffalo) so I can't complain. It's right by the mall and Whole Foods so the location is very convenient.

It is almost ludicrous to have to talk about this, but I felt extremely attacked for wanting to buy 3 fish. One of the fish was a fantail goldfish while the 2 others were feeder fish. One of the store employees, Chris, told me that we needed a 40 gallon tank immediately because these 3 fish would grow up to a foot. However, the 3 fish at that time didn't even total more than 8 inches in size. I wanted to see if they would even survive more than a couple of days in my gallon tank which was perfect for the size of the fish. Each fish was about 2-3 inches long which meant 8 gallons was perfect following the 1 inch per gallon rule. Chris repeatedly told us again and again that he would advise strongly against buying these 3 fish to the point where it got extremely uncomfortable. When I was buying the fish, he told the cashier to void our guarantee because he did not think that the feeder fish could live with the fantail goldfish and also went up to another girl employee to talk behind our backs right where we could see them. The worst part was the amount of dead fish in the feeder tank. There were at least 30 dead fish with other live fish eating the dead ones! They never even bothered cleaning out the 30 dead fish from the other day that we visited. I thought it was silly that Chris was telling us about how we needed to treat the fish with ample space when we already were following the 1 inch of fish/1 gallon rule when their fish were constantly dying. This place has extremely unprofessional employees.
