We stayed here for one night. This property is awesome. We really had a very pleasant time here. The reception was kind enough to upgrade our rooms to the lakeside rooms as complimentary without any hike in rent, which are quite spacious, very, very clean, and the washrooms were super clean along with 3 sets of towel (different sizes), shampoo, conditioner and body lotion for each person. Room amenities also included small microwave, medium size refrigerator, coffee maker, and a smart tv (may be 40') with cable channel. The beds were very soft with clean, soft blankets and 4 sets of pillows (3 head pillows and 1 side pillow) for each bed. Outside the rooms, there are sofa seating arrangements for 4-5 people. There is a small park for the kids to play with basketball and volley court along with a pingpong table. There were two bonfire sites with 8-10 chairs to chill and enjoy in the evening. I wish we had more off days, to stay here, relax, and enjoy here. I will definitely stay here again whenever I visit Lake George next time.Safety: It's very safe in the property with 24-hour cctv surveillance and caretaker.

Had a wonderful family vacation at this immaculately clean lakeside resort. Pool and beach area are the best Lake George has to offer. My family of 4 stayed in one of the 3-room suites located near the pool/restaurant/bar area and it was very convenient for all. There were plenty of activities on the property for all to enjoy. In fact, we canceled a boat day to lounge by the pool and enjoy the beautiful view of the lake and mountains. The weekend was topped off with a prime view of the fire works show over the lake. Would definitely stay here again! Staff was extremely accommodating and friendly from check in to check out.

Love this resort! Our two families have been coming every other year for almost a decade and it never disappoints. Staff is very courteous, grounds and rooms are very clean and there is a ton of amenities. Layout to the resort is awesome, makes you feel very relaxed. We usually bring a raft for our family to float out onto the sand bar on and the resort does not baby sit you. Thing we love the most is that you always see improvements every visit so it’s nice to know they are always keeping up with the resort and putting money back into it. Our favorite lake George hotel! Thanks for another great stay!

The rooms need WORK! Dips in the floor and big cracks. Could hear the neighbors the whole night. Shower was hot and bed was comfy. Someone said they spent 500 a night during summer! Heck no! The girl at the desk zero personality. Location right on the lake.Walkability: Not good

I will start by saying in my opinion this is truly a family resort. If you are traveling with kids they will be easily entertained for hours. Rooms are cozy but comfortable. The location is really the big win here. Pool, private beach area with chairs and umbrellas were a great feature. Kayaks, paddle boats etc are available for rent. The only bummer is the Cafe and bar close super early at 8pm, it would be nice if it were open later giving the adults a place to relax a bit too.Safety: Very safeWalkability: Very walkable to village shops and restaurants about 10 minsFood & drinks: On site Cafe and bar. Cafe is open 8a-8p or so breakfast options and sandwiches/fried foods available. Bar is full bar opened around noon and closes at 8p as well

This is our absolute FAVORITE summer spot! Been coming to Scotty's for years and the staff are amazingly attentive. Everything is well cared for and clean. The pool is so awesome along with the private beach, games, etc. The restaurant has AWESOME breakfast sandwiches. My only complaint is the air conditioners are really noisy and ours turned off/on all the time so kept me up all night. Perhaps there is a setting that we missed, but otherwise always a GREAT time at Scotty's.

Had a great family time. Walking distance to main hub in town, pool was warm, rooms clean. Small beach with plenty of seating, ping pong, volleyball, cornhole, small playground suitable for up to age 6. so plenty to do during the dayConstructive criticism being maybe dance party or other entertainment early evening for the kids.Safety bar needed in shower/bath to help kids and older adults to safely get in or out

The resort is beautiful and there’s plenty of entertainment. However, the service we received was unsatisfactory. We booked the room and specifically asked if guests were allowed and were told yes. It wasn’t an hour before we were approached by someone stating that our guests weren’t allowed on the sand. That they were fully booked and people paid good money to be there. As if we didn’t also pay. It seemed racially charged as we were the only ones approached because our guests didn’t have a wrist band. Unfortunately my family and I will not be returning.

For the price (almost $400 a night with fees), Scotty’s was not worth the price. For $200 a night maybe. First the negative. The young lady at check in barely looked up at us and did not greet us with any kind of friendly gestures. She simply took our credit card so she could charge us for our full stay. She handed us a couple of pieces of paper and said your room is on the left. Scotty’s sits up high like a lot of resorts in the area and the property runs down to the lake. There are two long buildings with lots of rooms and a driveway in the middle that runs from the top of the hill right to the bottom and ends at the swimming pool. A dangerous design if a car’s brakes ever fail coming down the hill. So there are cars and a lot of diesel monster trucks chugging up and down the hill all day. Quite dangerous with all the small kids around. Our room was closer to the top of the complex. Parking for these rooms was hysterical and dangerous, especially if you’re in your 70’s. You pull into your space at an angle and on a tilt. So if you can picture this, you have to either deal with a drivers side door that wants to slam shut and cut off your leg as soon as you sit it the car if you’re not careful. On the other hand the passenger side doors fly open when you enter and you have to reach out and extend your arm as much as you can and pull as hard as you can uphill to close the door.First impressions of our room as we entered was that it has not had an extensive make over as the owners claim. While the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the rug looked like it might be fairly new and it was clean. The wall were recently painted as I could tell by the fresh paint on our bedside lamp. Tv was large and offered a lot of channels with a good picture. Plenty of dresser space, an open coat rack and a very cold refrigerator, microwave and coffee machine. The bathroom was moderately sized, with amenities that you had to mountain climb back up the hill to the office to get your own. And if you want to blow your nose bring some Kleenex, as none are supplied. Room service was ok, nothing spectacular. On that note there are no “Do Not Disturb” signs in the rooms, “Honeymooners you’ve been warned”😂From our rooms it was a good hike down and up hill to get coffee, food drinks, etc. There is a nice breakfast, lunch room and a nice bar & lounge. Drink specials were very good and the staff in the dining area and bar were all extremely friendly ( unlike our check in lady). Prices were pretty good. There are several options for lake activities ( paddle boats, paddle boards, kayaks, etc. Bring your wallet though as your almost $400 a night doesn’t include the use of them. There is a small beach and a medium sized pool for such a large resort. Also beware “Quiet Time” is 11:00 pm til 7 am. I be never stayed anywhere where it was that late and I’m surprised seeing there are so many small children on the premises. Every room as a little porch area and that is a nice touch to sit on and relax in the morning or evening. There was no shortage of kids slamming doors all day and night and check out is early(10am).If you’re new to the area you can find a lot of more resorts that are lakeside but don’t have such a steep straight runway to the lake. I’ve stayed at some others that have configured their property so it’s broken up with gradual grades down to the lake. On a closing positive note, Scotty’s is a great location to watch the Thursday night fireworks and it is conveniently located very close to the village. There were lots of things to like about Scotty’s but there were just as many things not to like.

After reading numerous reviews and browsing the Scotty's website prior to our vacation, I expected to have a great visit... I can tell you it was better than great. Rooms were comfortable, service was excellent and the location is fantastic. Our family of 4 (2 adults, 6 yr old, 4 yr old) had everything we could want. GREAT lake beachfront, AMAZING kiddie pool with sprinklers, BEAUTIFUL full size pool, FABULOUS playground, FUN arcade and a convenient cafe for quick & easy meals and snacks. There is also a bar, picnic/bbq areas, basketball court, firepits and watersport rentals. And it's right in town, close to many attractions. Pretty darn perfect. We will be back!

This is an average motel with a great location and above average outdoor amenities. The pool, kiddie pool, beach area, playground, basketball court, lake, and outdoor Cafe are convenient and very nice. If you have kids, they're going to love swimming and hanging out here. There is a small, roped-off area for swimming in the lake, as well as an activity area where you can rent paddle boats, pale boards, or kayaks by the hour. The negative here is that while there are lots of lounge chairs at the beach and pool, there unfortunately aren't enough.People will routinely take towels to 'claim' chairs early in the morning, only never to actually use them.Case in point, a group of people next to us at the pool claimed 4 chairs and never showed up until after 3pm to use them.I recommend simply removing towels and using the chairs. The room we stayed in was average. It had a queen and full sized bed, small fridge, TV, and air conditioner. The bathroom was at a noticeable slant. The air conditioner required you to stand on a chair to operate it, and only worked in 'automatic' mode. The walls and windows are thin, so you will hear all your neighbors. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The drive to 'town' is less than a minute.Overall, I would stay here again.

This place is really great. Wished we stayed longer. The pool and beach were very convenient and nice. I just really like the look of the whole place. Was a bit crowded when we first got there , but I think that’s because it was a Friday in July. The lake view is incredible. The staff was very helpful. The kids absolutely loved it!! Will definitely be back.

Overall, the property was alright. The outside amenities are where this place shines. The pool is nice. The lake access, lounge chairs on the sand, on-site cafe are all great. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. We did have a few issues with the room itself. Our first room smelled like smoke, was missing the fire detector, had no hot water and was extremely small and dark. I will say that the staff was great at addressing our concerns and did move us to another room. That room was slightly bigger and cleaner, but we did find ants in the bathroom. If given the choice, I don’t think I would stay here again in the future.

Good time at Scottys but rooms need work. Sink and tub drain very slow. Sink barely drained. Toilet is super small. Room is on a tilt which made us nauseous and light headed. Stains on the carpet. Beds were comfortable. AC kept room nice and cold. Also, please upgrade your wifi. Very very slow. Needed to do some work stuff and couldn't.Resort itself was great. Location, pool, beach, food and service was great.Would come back if the bathrooms got upgraded and maybe wash the carpets a bit more often.

This hotel was an absolute gem. Came with my family and friends for memorial day weekend. We booked a center room with 1 green and a double for 2 adults 2 children. We ended up getting a complimentary upgrade! The room they gave us had a beautiful large porch out front, a queen bed and 2 double beds in a separate room. Staff was super friendly and even called a day before check in to make just to let us know they knew we were coming. Stellar service. There is plenty to do here with your family, volleyball, kayaks, firepits, bbq grills, pool, beach, playground, arcade and more! Right up the street from the local happenings. I can't race about this place enough! 100% recommend.Rooms: Rooms are decent size. The only complaint I have about the rooms was the slope the room had. When you walked in you immediately feel a slight pull to the back of the room (especially in the bathroom). Also our deck for our room seemed to be missing a step and so it was a bit steep and hard on the knees.Walkability: You can walk into town if it's not extremely hot out. Probably a 10 minute walk. Just good luck with the climb out if the parking lot.Food & drinks: There's snacks, foods and drinks available for purchase. As well as a bar. All by the pool area. There is also a restaurant directly across the street.

Loved Scotty's! Was perfect for a family trip with kids. Fun for all ages with swimming, playground, ping pong, arcade. If you have little ones who need to nap, consider getting a room away from the pool area (it can get loud with kids having fun swimming). It was nice having a café onsite, too, for quick bites. Would love to come back soon.Rooms: Clean rooms. TV, mini fridge, coffee maker. What you would expect for this type of resort.Safety: Felt very safe. Would be great though if the outside doors had peepholes.Food & drinks: Café on-site that serves food and drinks as well as a bar.

The location and amenities are awesome! Right on Lake George, very close to all the shops and restaurants and bars on Lake Shore Drive. You can go chill on the beach and watch the Minnie Ha Ha and all the ferries on the lake while the kids play in the pool, splash pad and playground. They rent boats, pontoons, kayaks, and paddle boats too. There is a big outdoor sitting area with comfortable Adirondack chairs around huge fire pits where you can bring your drinks from the bar and sit right on the lake shore while the kids play. This place would be great to stay in the summer. Walking distance to all the fun places in Lake George village, it's such a fun location, and also a great price. We stayed here the first week of fall so it was a little too cold to be playing in the water. The room itself is very very basic and not especially comfortable to spend time in. It seems like more of a summertime place where you spend most of your time outside. Not so much a place where you'd feel comfortable chilling in your room with a book when it's too chilly outside to play around the lake.I think you have to request room cleaning/restocking? Because housekeeping didn't stop by to replace our coffee/sugar or replace towels etc and there wasn't a door hanger thingie to request it. But we stopped into the office to ask for refills and they happily accommodated us. Service was great in the office and the little cafe, everyone was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and their coffee was good 👍We will definitely be back here in the summer! The cooler months I think we'd pick somewhere more comfortable to spend time inside, like a cabin with comfy chairs, side tables, and a good coffee maker.

Only real issue is no housekeeping and a requirement of a five night stay. Realize things changed during covid but with a family in a suite some cleaning is required. We paid a good amount for our suite and feel some housekeeping should be done during our stayNearby activities: Liked magic kingdom

We just spent a few days at Scotty's and it was AMAZING from beginning till end. We didn't want to leave!! Now we can't wait to go back. It was the best time ever!! This place is great. The staff couldn't have been nicer. The rooms are simple and very clean. Everything is very well run. The pool and beach/lake is relaxing and really enjoyable day and night. There is a Cafe on site with everything you could want made to order. A close walk to town and everything is at your finger tips. There are so many Restaurants to choose from. Thank you Scotty's for making our stay such a pleasant one. We can't wait to see you next year.

Had a wonderful time with the family here. Location and amenities couldnt be better. Well actually I would like them to add a hot tub lol. Other than that the place is wonderful. They dont make up the rooms daily, however I dont want that service anyway. They do bring towels and supplies and we never ran out. Will definitely be back here again......hopefully to soak in the new hot tub? Hint hint lol 😆 thank you.

My family and I just spent a total of three nights at Scotty's! It came highly recommend from family and friends! We had a great time! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms we're spacious and clean. Our son loved the beach and pools. The grounds we're beautiful and kept up with. We we're a little disappointed that the pools weren't heated. We we're also hoping there would have been a Jacuzzi or hot tub. We we're also disappointed by the amount of cigarette butt's in the sand and parking lot, there we're no smoking output. We loved it and can't wait to come back! Beautiful Resort! Absolutely beautiful views!

We had an amazing time at Scotty's and will most definitely return. The pool area is gorgeous. I highly recommend the summer time here!I'm not sure if they are open year round but it was beautiful in August.Lakeside rooms are great- they don't face the lake but you van see the lake and its easier access to most of their amenities.Bring your own pool towels - they should offer some but don't.

The resort is one of the best I've attended in recent years, the rooms were decently priced and were pretty spacious. The views around we stayed were amazing too. The pool and playground were great places to spend time with family. The whole resort experience was brought down by the on site cafe and arcade. They weren't the main reasons we went but when we visited, our time was disappointing. The food was hilariously overpriced and not that great. (Paid about 5 bucks for a milkshake that was mostly a cup of milk) The arcade also had many nonfunctional machines. If you're going to Scotty's, bring your own food and plan your day around the pool and the other water related attractions. If you do this, you'll have the best time here.
