I absolutely loved ‘forest-like’ decorations in this restaurant. The staff, ours was Ashley, is fantastic and friendly. The food was delicious. Finding gems like this when we visit small towns is a treat. We came to Lake George for the Winter Carnival.

Came here during the winter carnival in LG during February with my wife and small children. My daughter and son ages 4 and 2 absolutely loved it. It reminded me us of the rainforest café but wayyy better food and we loved the atmosphere. The restaurant was clean and the hostess was very attentive to our needs. Everything we tried there was top notch. We will be back this summer

*READ THIS* NOT FOR KIDSService and food were mediocre as expected. ATMOSPHERE was horrific. A women walked to the bar and immediately started cursing out her Significant other speaking of heroin and hardcore drugs. Next, a man started cursing out HIS significant other (a completely different table) and cursing in front of his kids. I understand you can’t control who comes in, but the staff needs to manage their customers better. I will never return. The manager comped our drinks but the mad cursing out his family was still there after we left. Disgusting.

Good service. Food was delivered very quickly after placing the order and portion sizes were considerably large, including the orders from the kids meal. I have no complaints about the food. The atmosphere and theme of the restaurant were definitely creative. It had a forest theme and looked very appealing. The restaurant was also fairly quiet. My only complaint with the place lies in the atmosphere/theme. Part of the theme was a thunderstorm, which meant that every so often a few small overhead lights would flash on and off a few times for a lightning effect. Looking back I can see the creativity in it, but at the time it was sort of annoying, although it was nothing you can’t ignore or get past.

I've been to this restaurant twice already. The food is tasty and the desert is tastier. (Hint* get the S'mores) they also have a good selection of local beers. I ordered the JD Steakhouse Burger, which was tasty. But, It was kind of small compared to some burgers I like at the burger bars I go to.The interior of the restaurant is cute with it's decorations but they try and fall way short with other restaurants of the sort i.e. Rainforest Cafe, and T-rex in Disney Springs. But that won't stop me from going back next time I visit lake George.

Kids and adults in our group loved this place and so did others dining there. Waitress had the patience of a saint with so many excited kids. Good food and decent priceKid-friendliness: Kids were so excited with the surrounds and background forest/,jungle noises. Kids menu was good

Despite being a weekend and being quite crowded, the waiting time to get a table was quite fast. The employees are very efficient and the customer service is great. The prices are affordable and the food was delicious! It's just that the main dish portion was a bit small, which was made up for with a bunch of French fries.I suggest including a slightly larger portion.The rest everything perfect, especially for the location.

COVID-19 REVIEW: We walked up to the hostess at 4:30 before the dinner rush and waited 20 minutes for a table outside. The wait staff is friendly and fast. We ordered the strawberry pineapple margarita on the rocks with salt and the Adirondack lemonade and shared the buffalo chicken salad and JD cheeseburger. I would rate the food here as mediocre nothing bad but nothing outstanding. The burger sauce lacked flavor and the buffalo chicken salad was more of a taco salad minus the buffalo not hot at all. The drinks were fantastic and we ordered a second strawberry pineapple margarita it was that good. I would say given the limited amount of restaurants for families to choose from, this is one of those that caters to families. If you don't care so much about quality and just want a bite to eat for the kids and family this is your place its just average. I would skip and recommend a nice pizza and wings next door at guisseppi food is great.

Well the root beer was good....I guess I expected more for a place right in the strip of Lake George but I was not impressed. My sweet potato fries were wilted and barely warm. I really wanted the brisket panini but in short my waitress told me the staff didn't have time to pre-make them & apparently it's way to much to ask for a freshly made to order sandwich (What!?!). I'm pretty sure the sign out front said that their burgers are premade as well and then kept in some type of liquid to keep moist....I'm not sure what type of restaurant I walked into but somethings like burgers & paninis should be made to order not hours before being served to customers. Also my daughter's chicken tender was black and broke right in half as we asked for a new one because of how gross it looked....they were probably fried at the beginning of the day then fried again to reheat for the table would be my guess.

The food and prices were amazing! We ordered pulled pork sandwiches and bottomless fries and my kids had pizza and fries! It was a family friendly place to eat with rainforest type atmosphere. Highly recommended to visit if you are in/around Lake George.

Did you even visit the Moose Tooth Grill if you didn’t bring home a couple of the mugs and a case of Bear Wizz root beer 🍻 🤣 !Favorite new root beer. Honestly may have never tried it if I realized what they called it lol. The waitress told us they had their own root beer so I ordered it.

Server was nice. Food was terrible. Hamburger tasted and looked like a pre-made frozen patty. Zero on burger bun was not even toasted. Cesar salad was lettuce, tasteless, if any dressing and some shaved cheese. Guess someone forgot the ‘homemade garlic croutons’. Fries were warmish and definitely cooked earlier and left under a heat lamp. Seriously disappointed, avoid eating there.Restaurant full of flies too. Really a shame as they have a fun experience for kids and a great location.People should be honest with reviews. We read it was great ☹️

We just left and what a great family friendly restaurant. Reminded us of a small rainforest cafe but done the right way with much better food. Price was average and service was fantastic. Even if you're not a family or older you will still enjoy the food .

Interesting place. Sort of like the rainforest Café with an Adirondack theme. Large sprinkling of Adirondack beers. Lots of neat names, but all rather pedestrian. Service was great!

Great for kids, they loved the atmosphere and are begging to go back. Like a (low budget) Rainforest Cafe. But the food was..... edible, at best. Definitely not eager to go back food wise, $150 for a party of 4 with an appetizer and 2 alcoholic drinks. But I promised we would, to try the dessert. Maybe that's a better way for the kids to enjoy the atmosphere without spending so much on meh food. Cost isn't the problem per say, I'd pay double if the food was great.

The atmosphere is excellent. We loved the decorations and sound. The animatronic raccoon was very cute. I ordered a rack of ribs and my daughter got the kids pizza (mostly French fries).My $30 rack of ribs lacked flavor and the fat was poorly rendered. In other words it was a flavorless rack of fat.My daughter liked the kids Pizza but again it was small and almost buried by the fries. The fries were quite good but the rest was very BLAAAAA.

I love the name, so we wanted to check it out. We were seated quickly, but waited for our server longer than expected. We ordered the root beer, it was delicious. My husband ordered the mac-n-cheese with pulled pork. I ordered the chicken tacos. Both were good, but smaller than anticipated. There was barely any pulled pork on the mac-n-cheese & about an inch and a have high. We expected there'd be more, bc of the cost. Same with the chicken tacos. I barely tasted the chicken, they were small, but pricey. The waitress was ok. She was busy. Getting her attention was difficult.The food tasted good, just lacked in size and meat. Other items may have been better choices?I'd definitely suggest trying it. Everyone has they're own expectations. I think ours was a little high.
