Decent spot to stay for the area. Nice showers. The river is very nice to float on without needing a shuttle. Like many campgrounds, it doesn't feel like "camping". But that is basically expected. When we went it was full and felt that way. Ended up having to unexpectedly pay more when got there for some unclear reason.

A Good Sam 10/10/10 campground certainly lived up to its reputation. Beautiful sites, well maintained everything. We had a nice river view back-in site. As others have mentioned they’re a little narrow but long. We enjoyed some shade from trees but sites in the middle have to make their own shade. Staff was super helpful, plenty of small necessities at the camp store. Great rates as well for full hook-ups, including cable. Will definitely be back.

We've been coming here for almost ten years now and absolutely love it! My only complaint is that they've become so popular that it can be difficult to get the site you want sometimes. It's really great having the Schroon river flowing by the campground. Not only for the scenery, but for the swimming, floating and kayaking as well. The most recent visit we had the river was pretty full and flowing pretty fast making it difficult to kayak. Because you have to go up stream to really go anywhere. I would advise asking the office the river conditions before hauling your kayaks up.Nearby activities: The turn of Lake George is nearby. There are boat rental opportunities and there is an extreme Zipline course not far.Walkability: Many people walk their dogs around the campground. It really is nice.

First time We stayed at Riverview, over all it is very nice and super clean. We had a Riverview site,… the only thing we didn’t like and I seen a few reviews mention it .. is sites are super tight. They may be long but very narrow. The Riverview side everyone is packed in 🙁 … on the up side it’s close to the village, staff is super nice.

Great campground right on the Schroon river! We were placed on site 45 near the boat launch which is where most tents and pop-ups are located. It was open and grassy which was great and access to the water. If you’re in other areas prepare to be very close with your neighbors! Staff was very friendly and entire camping experience was great. Close to Lake George though next to McDonald’s and Dunkin’ Donuts as well as Price Chopper.

The staff are absolutely awesome. Friendly and helpful. Very accommodating, the sites are great. Other campers are Friendly. It's pet friendly. Our site was on the river. Very relaxing. Will be coming back, I suggest booking a site here. You will love it. Lots to do for kids also. Nice private beach.Nearby activities: Very close to Lake George center. Beach area was nice, sites however are one on top of another. Somewhere between 15 and 20 feet apart but no trees or bushes separating them. Everywhere you turned was somebody Electrical and sewer were good. Supposed to get a pull through site but was given a back in. So it was ok but not great.Nearby activities: Lake George is no more than 10 minutes away. Lots to see, eat and do.

Stayed here for Labor Day weekend and overall, we enjoyed our time here. The pool was pretty small and the water freezing but our kids seemed to enjoy it anyway. Some sites are pretty close together and would be a tight squeeze for the bigger rigs, but our deluxe site was pretty spacious for our 36 foot camper. Conveniently located to Lake George and very clean as well. Would definitely stay here again.

We went camping for 5 nights at Riverview, overall our trip was good. This place has some of the cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever seen, some bathrooms were completely private with a shower and toilet and a long counter at the new pavilion. The pool is very small and shallow, it’s definitely just for kids I feel. The playground was also very small, and lots of kids wanting to play. The camp store seemed to be closed every time we wanted something. From our check in the staff seemed nice. The sites are narrow and long and not private at all. The only shade was one row of trees blocking you from the river, which we couldn’t even see because it was so overgrown with Un-trimmed bushes and weeds. It is also very dusty. We were at a site that was close to the main road way outside of the campground which made it too noisy to just sit and chill, cars racing, loud music, loud tractor trailers and obviously no ordinances for loud breaking. We did enjoy the DJ one night although he started out with some, what I thought were inappropriate jokes for a family establishment. Check out time was a little rough as non quiet hours start at 8 and out by 11, maybe for some this isn’t an issue, guess we have a lot of stuff. Overall we had fun, but I wouldn’t go back to this specific campground.

We spent about a week enjoying this campground and our beautiful site along the river. The maintenance team is always about and they do a great job raking and preparing sites for new arrivals. We used the laundry facilities. One of the two washers was down, but the price was reasonable and how convenient to not have to go offsite to a laundromat. The office staff was very helpful and pleasant. Would definitely stay here again.

We just left after our 4 day stay and we cannot wait to be back! The location is only 10 minutes from the village of Lake George. The entire campground is very well manicured & the staff is always around if needed. Mike was so helpful and accommodating that we wanted to take him with us when we left!! The large bathrooms were always clean and available. You can tell that the people here really care & take pride in what they do.

Only visited friends but everything looked really nice. The showers and restrooms were clean they picked up the trash quite regularly pool was a little small but smaller pools better than no pool and then you got the river running around the campsite for tubing is pretty cool

We spent a week here on site 44 on the river. The campground has been expanded although the sites are somewhat close together. The upper areas have no trees so they would be very hot. The sites by the river are shaded. The campground was very clean and bathrooms clean as well. Would stay here again. Just wish the river sites weren’t so close together. Convenient to Lake George, Ft Ticonderoga. Beautiful area. Good hiking.

After checking in almost near closing with a very sweet front desk lady, we were stunned to see this campground was not a campground in our eyes, more of an RV park due to a lack of space in between the rigs. Being gone most of the day and returning later in the evening, we did not check out the bathhouses or toilets as we have them in our trailer but we did walk to the river which was very nice and calming.I am not sure if we will be back because we tend to check out a few parks before we decide on one we like to stay at while in the area but over all, very nice with friendly staff and lovely swimming area in the river.

This campground has a wonderful scenery for sure, but in comparison to most camp grounds they are lacking a few things. The general store doesn’t carry and snacks or food supply. The arcade is really sad and the bath house could be better. They also don’t cover their fire wood so if it rains you wood is wet. Some of the sites are too close together. Other than that it’s a pretty beautiful place to visit and the river is nice to go down to and feed the ducks.

We love it here! It is dog friendly, fun to be on the river for paddle boarding and use of the rope swing, great location for getting to all the places we enjoy in Lake George and walking distance to Dunkin Donuts :)

We were very happy with this campground. Overall, it was quiet, peaceful and clean. They are clearly doing a lot of upgrades: working on a new pavilion, recently paved, newly planted shade trees, recently seeded grass. Some of the sites were a bit small which made it difficult to gather around the campfire with our entire group. My kids loved the game room and enjoyed floating down the river and horseshoes. There is a full grocery store across the street which was very convenient. They did candy bar Bingo which was fun.I get the feeling that this campground will continue to improve. They were actively working on several projects while we were there.

Lots of sites. Some beautiful (on the Schroon River], others in somewhat stark field. Good for families. Small pool, playground with slides. Pet friendly. Small river beach. Easily accessible. One shower unit (at least; there are a couple] was exceptional: tiled suites with commode, sink, and shower

While our site was long and wide, we could barely back in because of the turn and dip in the road going downhill. Due to the 2 pine trees, 1 on the side, 1 in the back, we could not back in all the way-limbs were too low and hit our motorhome backing in. Luckily we had full hook up because most sites are in full sun. New sites are all rocks and weeds, feels like you’re in a big parking lot. Many sites are way too close and crowded with more than 2 vehicles on most sites. Low water pressure, could not get wifii even though they advertise it. Barking dogs not attended to ruined any quiet time we had. Would not return, especially at this high price.

We stayed in 30’ TT. Very helpful staff assisted us in changing site to a more shady location as we had an awning issue. Stayed in site 41 on the River for 5 days then V1 close to the River for another 5. River sites are a bit tight but nice and shady. V1 was bigger and shady on the right side in the daytime, and behind the trailer at night. Most of the non River sites are not shady. Laundry could use some more / bigger machines. Plenty of room for a fenced dog park which would be a nice addition. Convenient location to Lake George area. Glens Falls, and Saratoga, are within a half hour drive via I-87. Lake Placid 1-1/2 hrs.

One and done ~ I arrived on a Thursday and stayed until Sunday, the bathrooms were dirty when I got there and were NOT cleaned or trash emptied the entire time I was there. Same ball of hair in the shower the whole time! I camp a lot and have never seen this, especially during this time of trying to keep people healthy. The cost per night was super expensive as well. Taking this one off my list. I’ll stick to state campgrounds where you’re not packed in like sardines.

First off I want to say this was one of our favorite camp grounds!! We camp here at least 5 or 6 times a year. I stayed her over the memorial day weekend I cannot believe how many new sites they are squeezing in. They now have very few tent sites and they have removed the basketball court to put more sites in. The dump station was not working so all morning on Monday we had people coming to the site in front and in back of us dumping their tanks!! The pool was not filled and they also removed mini golf! I don't believe I will return this year very sad because I absolutely love this camp ground.

When we got there someone had set up on our site by mistake. They were confused if the site marker meant to the left or the right. Our site was on the river but due to heavy overgrowth the river was inaccessible. We had to carry our kayaks to the boat launch. The current was strong but we were able to make it 2hrs up river which was about a 20min float back. The pool was nice. Neighbors were nice and quiet at night. Bathrooms were fine. The rec hall was a major dud. I was hoping the kids could play in there for a while but there was a pool table, an air hockey, 1 driving game and 2 claw drop machines. Basketball was available but both balls were deflated. Playground for the younger kids looked nice. Mike the maintenance man was very easy to get along with. Any problems, he's your man. Lake George was very close and a very easy drive. It was my 2nd time staying here and we would go again

Mike and staff did a wonderful job accommodating us when we were in the Lake George area and had an issue w/ the lithium batteries that power the cabin of our conversion van -- even though they were getting ready for a "full house" a few days later. In addition, the campground was very well maintained. The bathrooms were modern and very clean. And the showers were great. (Perhaps the best showering experience I've had when camping -- ever!) This place it's great! We had planned to stay for two days and we ended up staying two weeks. Nice facilities, a small private beach, walking distance to most necessities and fire rings at each space. We made this our hub because there's just so much to see and do within an hour or two. Mike the manager was very friendly and obviously takes a lot of pride in keeping the park nice. We would definitely stay here again!
