All of the staff made us feel welcome and that if we needed anything they’d be there to help…and they did! We are newer to rv camping and needed some guidance and Mike was there to save the day (a couple of times!), Fred was also very helpful and Tanya kept things clean! Shower was warm, bathrooms clean. The office staff was also helpful and friendly. The campsite was level and lovely with what you expect of the Adirondacks. Other campers were respectful of the quiet times. We didn’t have a chance to use the pool or other recreational options but we will next visit. We met some very friendly and nice campers there as well. We will be returning for sure and are considering a seasonal site for next year!Nearby activities: BoltonLanding and The Sagamore are a 25 min drive and we’ll worth it! Great restaurants and shops very quaint! Lake George is lively!Safety: We felt very safe and knew that the grounds were being surveyed at times by staff.

It was our first time camping here and we absolutely loved the atmosphere of the campground. Very well kept sites and you have a lot of space which is especially great when you have a dog! Very quiet and peaceful. The only hang ups that I had were the bathrooms/ showers. If clean and updated bathrooms/showers are important to you, then these may not be it. The bathrooms are fairly updated, nice sink area, pretty large and nice tile throughout. The stalls are a bit tiny- but that’s not the main problem. Unfortunately the bathrooms closest to our campsite were located in a spot where there were a lot of tenting sites and cabins. The bathrooms were pretty gross on the first day, and second not as bad. The toilets itself were clean but there was toilet paper all over the floors and just not well kept, which may not be the campgrounds fault- but unfortunately still pretty unpleasant. However, the showers are completely unacceptable. They are very old and the shower curtains look like they haven’t been cleaned/ updater in years. We did find black mold in one of the showers on the shower curtain and the floor. A total turn off- we did shower in our camper, there was no way I would set foot in one of those shower stalls. The only recommendations I’d have for the campground would be to update the showers for sure, and maybe clean the bathrooms twice a day instead of one when it is busy, and maybe just update some of the main area with the basketball courts and playground are. Overall a wonderful stay, and we will be back!

This was our first time staying at the campground and we had a great time. Our lot was large, secluded and shady. The kids loved the pool area. The staff in the office were very nice. The campground was close to Lake George village which was convenient. Bathrooms were clean. No complaints at all and we will definitely be staying here again. I see some very recent poor reviews. Don’t let those steer you away from this campground. We had site 57 and loved it! Any spots in that area of the campground all looked nice! :)

We booked a seasonal site and loved it so much we are coming back next year! Thanks to Mike, Mary, Tonya and the great ladies in the office for all their work and great local recommendations. Sites are spacious, well maintained and plenty of beautiful shady trees. This is by far the best campsite in the area, you feel like you are actually camping and not stuck in a parking lot. Great location close to town as well!! 10/10 recommend!

The customer service here is horrendous. They don't answer your questions, are impolite, and obviously do not want my business. Sorry, but I will look into going elsewhere where I am actually helped when I ask for assistance and not treated dismissively. It's very frustrating when you are trying to make a large group booking -- which they say they accommodate -- and you're treated like you are stupid for understanding their responses (which are often run on sentences and contradictory). For the record, large groups are not easily accommodated from my experience with them.Avoid Mary at all costs.

The trip was better than expected. I spent 1 night in one of the larger cabins (Oak) and it was definitely a memorable night for my family.I had read reviews about this place a day prior (which I should have done much earlier but oh well) and some of them had me some what skeptical but honestly from my experience, all of negative reviews seemed to be from disgruntled guests or people who want to be highly critical over a campground. My experience was quite delightful honestly. Everything that I would want and more from a camping trip. Staff were friendly and quite helpful. At one point I had lost my debit card and Tonya, a staff member had drove around the campground to find the owner which I had never experienced before. I was and still am very grateful for her kindness. The campground was very clean, not only the cabin itself which looked like it had been just cleaned right before we had arrived. I honestly never saw a campground with zero litter before and it was quite nice to see.Not only was there no signs of environmental pollution, but also it was a very quiet campground which made the experience even better. The only thing you could really hear at night was the sound of campfires crackling and the sounds of crickets and tree frogs which was great. The campground also offers a pool and a playground to keep the kids busy as wellThank you for a nice night with my family. We will be coming back again next year ☺️

My family and I accidentally made reservations for Lake George Camping Village, our intentions were to go elsewhere. I’m happy to report we were all very pleased with this mistake. We rented a total of three cabins, ours being cabin #39 (large cabin). It was perfect for my family of four. We were all very comfortable in the space. The cabin had a mini fridge, AC and heat. The heated pool was just right. My kids made the best of everything the campground had to offer! They played in the pool, played basketball, and spent hours in the rec room. Bathrooms were very clean and staff were all very pleasant. Only two things I would suggest. One, throwing gravel over the dirt or growing grass on the campsites. The dirt made such a mess as we went in and out of the cabin, not to mention how muddy it got since we did get rain. Second, even though bathrooms were very clean, some updating would be great! Needless to say, the family and I look forward to coming back next year!Nearby activities: Conveniently located very close to all that Lake George has to offer: shops, arcades, restaurants, the lake itself, and many more.

Nice campground, with a nice wooded ADK feel. Not a ton of amenities, but the sites are well groomed, level and spacious. Pool are and game room are nice, with a pool table, ping pong, and cornhole. The playground is a bit dated. It was towards the end of season so the camp store was limited, but town is close for what you forgot. The only hangup is the bathroom/showers near the pool are not maintained, dirty, and didn't look as though they'd been sanitized in some time. It wasn't a problem for us as we had a camper but it made me thankful we weren't renting a cabin. Overall, id go back as it had a good atmosphere staff was friendly, but I think a bit understaffed.

Campground was OK. Very state park like. Very steep and wooded. Can be tricky to get large campers onto sites. Kids running wild everywhere, riding bikes on camp roads out of control as they cannot stop on the loose gravel. Pool needs some supervision. There was a large group of kids in the pool jumping and diving into the pool despite the no diving signs. They were jumping right beside other guests splashing them excessively. The parents thought it was funny but we were unable to enjoy the pool.Quiet hours were also not enforced at all. We had large groups partying on both sides of us being very loud til 2 or 3AM.Also the bathrooms weren't great and the showers were gorribleProbably a one and done for me

Our family has camped in Lake George 2-3 times a summer for years. This was our first time camping at the LG Camping Village, and we have already booked again for a few weeks from now. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the sites are a great size and offer much more shade and privacy than a typical RV park, and there is SO much stuff for the kids to do (pool, playground, game room, events, etc.). Also, most all of the sites are very easy to get even large trailers/RVs in and out of. I am so happy we have found this gem, and it will be our go-to LG camping spot for years to come!

We really enjoyed our stay here. We had a full hook up site for three nights and over all loved the park. The site we had felt secluded and in the woods while actually being somewhat close to our neighbors which is hard to find. If you are looking for a more rustic nature oriented experience then I would absolutely recommend this facility. The majority of the facility was clean and well maintained with really no signs of trash or litter throughout the park. It does however need to be mentioned that the condition of the showers , specifically the mens as those are the only ones I can attest to are unacceptable. The larger bath house in the northern section of the camp has clearly been remodeled in the somewhat recent past and looks great. The showers have not. Best case scenario the actual floor of the showers are coated with dirt and grime. Worst case it’s mold. Some of the shower curtains do for sure have mold on them near the floor where they come into contact with the most water. It’s unfortunate that such a nice and clean campground would have such an important amenity in disrepair.Overall we loved our stay and we certainly plan on coming back.

We are beyond grateful with all the staff at Lake George Camping Village. We had an amazing and relaxing time with our church this past weekend. Sites were very spacious and the pool area was beautiful , we definitely had so much fun. Thank you Mary , Stephanie, and Edie for making our reservation process so easy, it was a large group and you girls managed all my calls very patiently and kind every time.We can’t wait till next year!

We had such a great experience at this campsite. Would 100% return and recommend. We had a little snag at check in but Mary handled it like a rockstar and we didn't miss a thing. The pool looked gorgeous even though we didn't get to use it ..but the setting was beautiful. The sight was perfect. Immaculately kept. Bathrooms and showers were clean and the water was hot. Great location in relation to the village .

Staff friendly and accommodating. Sites are a good size and room between sites. Centrally located to sites. Rate is average price. Would recommend this campground. Not sure if they are short staffed but water bottles on ground by basketball court and some trash an cigarette butts on ground as we were walking the dogs. Appreciate that staff does there jobs on checking on sites to make sure people leave when they’re supposed to for the next person. Even though I booked site for a couple of more days.

This campground was the worst I have stayed in and I have stayed in Campgrounds from MA to TN. The roads to the campsite are gravel and very hilly. The campsites drop right off. I booked a 50 amp site and when I finally found it with help from another camper it was 30 Amp. The lady at the desk was nice but no help from anyone working as a matter of fact I saw no one working accept the lady at the desk. We didn't even stay we lost our money and went to Lake George RV. The campground is very outdated. The ad also said a three minute walk to Lake George. We were there for the car show so we thought great. Well it was not even close. Very bad experience.

Upon arrival, the store is very small and not well stocked. The pool area, basketball court, "volleyball court" are in what apears to be disrepair. There is simply no landscaping, weeds everywhere and look like the area has not been maintained in quite some time. The bathrooms were disgusting. What is not mentioned about this campground is it is on a hill. The entire place. When we arrived, we could not get our camper into the pull through site we picked online because of the grade of the hill. If this was mentioned, it may make or break people making reservations here. The front desk was very accommodating and allowed us to change our site.If we had kids with us, they would have been miserable as there are no activities for them and the road is stone and all hills. They wouldn't have been able to ride a bike.We had to pay 13.00 for 3 days of internet, to which we had to call a call center and arrange. There is no cable. For the most part, the park is clean and is in a good location if you are looking to head to Lake George for the day, perhaps Bolton Landing or are looking for a very quiet place to stay.We may return, but as a stop off as opposed to a campground where we would meet other people and go to events hosted by a campground.

My family and I love coming here every year! The grounds are always clean and the staff is very friendly and eager to help. It still has the feel of a family campground as opposed to resort camping. We cannot say enough good things about it and look forward to coming back next year!!

We had a great experience! Our group of friends were having a great time. Some of the sites were a little inconvenient, because it was a bit smaller than the others, but we made it work! Chipmunk Circle had a small pond that was a great view from our campsites. Had a great time hanging out with our dogs and they had a blast! It was pretty cool that they had a water spigot, electric plugins, and Wi-fi at pretty much every site.Nearby activities: Very close to the office that had a lot of activities with Volleyball nets, pool, and other things! And just a short 10 minute drive away from downtown Lake George

Every year we take an annual camping trip and this year it was here. However, we ended up wishing it was somewhere else. From the moment we arrived to when we left there was no firewood available to purchase at the camp store. When we asked the staff they just said to try a certain town nearby, not even a specific store we could enter into our GPS to locate. Plus the camp store closes right at 7:30pm, so if you are out and about during the day and come back after dinner you will need to be sure you are prepared with ice (for coolers) and firewood as you will not be able to get any after the store closes, which for a campground seems odd - usually they are open until quiet hours begin. Another downside, the bathrooms near the pool need to be updated. The bathroom stall doors in the women's bathroom do not lock (one lock was hanging on by 1 screw), there is no vents or fan running leaving it full of stale/hot air, and the sinks won't stay on by themselves leaving you to fiddle around when washing your hands or face (getting ready). The shower pressure was all but ice cold drips, to a point where we didn't even use them because we wouldn't have been able to properly shower. Lastly, the sites designated for tents only are TINY! You are basically sharing the site with your neighbor. In addition, they allow people to check in at any hour of the night, which led to one of our neighbors coming in at 1am and setting up camp, waking us up with the noises and car lights. The only positive is that the location to the downtown/lake is perfect!

This campground is well maintained with well levelled sites. They offer internet for a small fee but they have boosters all over, so you’re sure to get a good signal. Unfortunately no one is monitoring the speed of the drivers and since this campground is on a mountain, people are speeding down the hills. It’s actually quite dangerous to let your kids walk to the park alone. I was also very upset that they didn’t offer recycling or compost on site. But it is well located and we’d happily book here again!

My family spent a night at Lake George Camping Village and were very pleased with our stay. We were in a tent at site 153. This was the first site as you enter and put us near the bathrooms, shower, laundry and pool, but not too close so that it was loud or uncomfortable. If we ever camp up in LG again we will head back here!Nearby activities: Approx 1.7 miles from the town of Lake George. Great spot.

We had a good two night stay at this campground. We rented a standard cabin, which was perfect for our family of three. The cabin was well appointed, had AC (a great perk on a 90 degree day) and was very clean. The campsite is also well kept and mostly quiet. The location is ok, but there was construction along route 9 which made getting in and out a little longer than usual (but not the campground's fault). The price for campwood is a little high and the wood they gave us was green and would not light easily. The only real complaint I have is about the cleanliness of the bathrooms/showers. They say they are cleaned daily but I would beg to differ. Not horrible, but definitely could use a little attention. Overall a good stay.

After a 3 hour drive to spend a relaxing weekend away with friends and family, we were told by staff, "Your dog breed is not welcome in the park!" When I questioned this, a woman, who I assume is the owner, responded, "it's all over the website, you should have made a phone call before you came!"1. I checked their website, it is NOT all over, it is in one place under the policies. Should I have checked before I came? Maybe, but in the last 30 years of camping with a dog, I have never been asked my dogs breed.2. The list of restricted dogs is ridiculous and also includes, "or any dog that displays aggression." Any dog can display aggression at any time, not just Pitbulls, Rottweilers, Huskies, Malamutes, etc. Why not just have a "no dog" policy?3. Being a private business, you are entitled to any policy you feel suitable, however do not make your guests feel like idiots, in front of other customers, by telling them this rule is plastered all over your website for all to see. I hope that you do plaster it all over your site after this review, so that people are aware before they spend $3.99/gallon to drive out and be turned away. That being said, while I am sad for my children, who did not have the weekend they had hoped for, I will not spend my money at an establishment that is being run by ignorant people who believe that only certain breeds can do harm!

Sorry to say this year I was not happy with our stay at the campground. The new owners have some rules that was surprised people. Every year for the Last 5 Years we meet friends of mine from out of state and we book our sites ahead of time. Last year we booked our sites and paid our down payments and expected to have the same balance when we came to stay. We agreed upon their fee for a cabin this year. I made the down payment and then this year the day before we were to come up I called to check my balance and to confirm our arrival. My balance due for the week was $751, this was expected. However when we arrive at the following day we had rented a six person cabin. We had two children and a grandmother with us we were told our six person cabin was now going to cost me $886 as a balance because their rates went up during the year and they said that we would have to pay for the extra people, they said on their website they have the right to change their rates even though we already had a deal agreed on. They did not honor their contract rates that we had contracted with them. We have been camping there for 5 years never had that problem before. The children had been looking forward to this day so now this camping trip cost me over $1,000 because I was not going to disappoint children. So just be warned they can change their rates as they wish and they do. Please recall that I called them the day before to check my balance and they told me it was my original balance was and then when they got there with children and Tow they jacked up my price. Do I sound upset wouldn't you be , just want to warn you. Also they had no firewood to sell also the restrooms up by the cabin did not have soap in the men's room for well over 3 days they told us that they ordered it two weeks ago I don't know why they couldn't have gone to a Dollar General and picked up a couple Dollar Bottles of soap. Shower floors were disgusting although I have to say the restrooms were kept clean the woman did a nice job who was taking care of them. There are other issues but I just not going to go into them now. We have been going there for the last 5 years I've been happy with it never complained. What they did do for me was when I complained about their changing the rate on me overnight they refunded me $39 I guess they thought that was good enough. I am sorry to say we'll be camping elsewhere from now on they do have a nice facility I just don't like the way it's being run. I am disappointed cuz we really do like the Lake George area and have enjoyed it for many years. By the way the other family that camps with us also will not be coming back there they witnessed our bad experience. I am terribly sorry to have to write this review I don't like giving bad reviews

Great place to stay with a partner, family, or friends. I went with my partner, and we stayed in a small cabin, which was absolutely adorable. Had a mini fridge just big enough for the food we brought for a 4 day trip, many outlets, a full size bed and 2 twin beds (bunk bed style), a small table and 2 chairs inside, and a little shelf which we used to store our dry food. Outside the cabin we had a picnic table and fire ring, which we did use every night. We definitely were there in the off season (Mid-May) because there was hardly anyone there. If you want to go to a campgrounds and have it to yourself go in spring I guess! Everyone we spoke to who worked there was very friendly. Only downside was the maintenance crew was working on some sites nearby our cabin, but they offered to move us to a quieter section, and we couldn't really blame them for whatever work they were doing because they were clearly making an attempt to do it when there would be less people camping there. Overall, I would absolutely stay there again! Definitely recommending to friends and familyNearby activities: A mere 5 minute drive from the adorable town of Lake George, which hosts a winery, distillery, plenty of bars and restaurants, some clothing stores, jewelry shops, souvenir shops, and a wax museum. Not to mention the lake walk, and the beach, which has a boat launch (we used it for our kayaks, no problem). Less than 30 minute drive to countless trailheads and mountain peaks. Plenty of things to do at Lake George, we were never bored!

I recently booked a campground at Lake George Camping Village, filled with anticipation and excitement for a memorable outdoor getaway. Unfortunately, our stay at this campground quickly turned into a nightmare, leaving us incredibly disappointed and frustrated. I feel compelled to share my experience to warn others about the subpar conditions and misleading marketing tactics employed by this establishment.Upon our arrival, we were greeted by inclement weather, which we had expected and were prepared to handle. However, the initial letdown came when we reached our assigned campsite. To our dismay, our campsite was located right next to a disruptive land clearing project of some sort, which immediately shattered any hope of a tranquil camping experience. Logs and boulders obstructed the area where we were supposed to park our car, further adding to the inconvenience. The size of our campsite was shockingly small, measuring a mere 15 feet across. This limited space made it impossible to accommodate even the most basic stuff, such as a tent, a table, a tiny fire pit, and our car. The entire site was cluttered, rocky, and covered in stick and debris. I think the land clearing nearby had greatly also greatly reduced the usable space of site 167.The lack of privacy at Lake George Camping Village was unexpected. The campsites in this area were crammed together, leaving no room for seclusion or tranquility. Had another family arrived at the site beside us, we would have been uncomfortably close, with barely ten feet separating our tents. The absence of any sort of barrier or buffer between the sites only exacerbated this issue, making us feel like we were intruding on each other's personal space. What infuriated us the most was the stark contrast between the campground's actual conditions and the way it had been advertised. The promotional materials and descriptions had painted a picture of idyllic camping retreats with spacious sites and a serene atmosphere. Sadly, this was far from the truth. The deceptive marketing only added insult to injury, intensifying our frustration and sense of being misled.Regrettably, our experience at Lake George Camping Village was so abysmal that we made the difficult decision to leave immediately and seek alternative accommodation in a local hotel. It is disheartening to think that our vacation began on such a sour note and that we were compelled to abandon our original plans due to the campground's poor conditions.I cannot stress enough how disappointed and angered we were by the state of Lake George Camping Village. The small, cluttered campsites devoid of privacy, coupled with the intrusive construction project nearby, rendered our stay unbearable. The misleading advertising further exacerbated our disappointment. I strongly advise against choosing this campground if you seek a peaceful, enjoyable camping experience.I hope they consider increasing the size and privacy of their sites. They should also not offer sites to people if they have active construction projects nearby. It’s not fair to fellow campers to put them up a few yards away from this and not disclose it beforehand. It’s also unsafe, as the recent rains combined with loosened soil is a hazard to neighboring sites that are downhill.

I expected much more. The campsites and bathrooms were clean but a bit on the smaller side. Their arcade room consist of a broken air hockey table, a ping pong table and a pay yourself pool table. No real kids or adult activities, which for the price it is what I would have expected. On top of that Unfortunately certain staff I found to be rude and off putting and at time not even letting me finish speaking before they would speak over me. I honestly did not feel welcome or appreciated as a customer. I have been going camping for many years and have never had this experience before. I was with my family and had rented 4 campsites. My father felt discriminated against because he speaks with an accent and when he went to clear up a situation because his campsite had been double booked he was threatened to be kicked off the campground if he was found sleeping in his car. My father is 74 years old he has a very hard time getting in and out of tents he has a suv in which the back converts into a bed, and there was also nothing listed in the rules about not being able to sleep in a car. We will definitely not be back to this campground.
