Very nice store, always clean and well stocked. Sale items are very good especially with prices so high now. They also have an instore pharmacy that is great for walk in vaccines. Overall I like this store even if it's a bit of a drive away from me.

Decent supermarket, clean, not super busy, well staffed. Cashiers are usually friendly but I opt for using self checkout. Sales are okay, the meat sale is good. Has a rewards program where you can earn points towards gas station gift cards.

Tops is always clean and the produce is usually fresh. The butchers are also helpful if you have any questions regarding cuts of meat or prep. The only thing holding me back from 5 stars is that they tend to be a little higher priced than other stores in the area, in my opinion.

This is my favorite grocery store. They have everything I want including hard to find peasant bread. The lines are not long and the parking lot is lovely.

this location is fantastic--specifically the manager. She was so diligent and accommodating to me when I was searching for a specific food (one of maybe 3 foods total) that my son will eat. I was so touched by her empathy and heart she showed me while trying to do what she could to help me get my hands on this item. It's that kind of treatment that earns a lifetime customer.

This is a great place to go shopping! Even if you don't know the area all too well it's easy to find what you need in the store! Parking is odd, ussualy a lot of people are parked and just getting into the parking lot is weird but some of the displays in the store and funny and cool!

Big parking lot. Store is extremely clean and laid out well. Aisles are large and not cramped. Fresh produce, large bakery, butcher, deli, seafood counter and a large selection of meats. All at reasonable prices. I felt I got a lot for the money. Worth the 24 mile drive from my house.

I’ve no complaints about this store, all the departments are professional and clean. The employees are professional and respectful. The store is clean I’ve never seen it dirty, and they all work as a team, Donna, JoAnn, Brian are good employees at the store and Wyatt is one of my favorites:) but their is a young lady in the Produce department I love and all the older guys in the mornings in the Produce they are hardworking and nice. Yes, let’s not forget Deli I don’t know their names but the two lady’s in Deli department are my favorite one has pink hair and the has her on both always say Hi Morgan so if they ever see this they will know :) there’s a pretty lady she’s tall and she has her nails done all the time she nice too, she does the in store shopping now. Pretty much everyone is great and hard working so I’ve no complaints about them :)

Great selection, prices, and extremely friendly staff! Cynthia in produce was a doll on the phone, and the cashiers (even shoppers) were lovely. More options and better pricing than a mom and pop, but without the commercialized feel of a supermarket. Highly recommend!

I have to say, the vegetables are super fresh and a large selection of plant based and dairy free products are great for those with dietary restrictions. Great selection of meats as well. The nutrition and healthy lifestyle section have some good choices for healthy supplements and snacks.

I started going here when I moved to Dover plains seeing as its on my way. I love this place. Their meal deals are great, you buy whatever meat or chicken they are offering that week and they give you about 9 items for free usually adds up to a $17-$18 savings. Very helpful for feeding a family. I keep going because their bakery is amazing. Their bagels are so fresh and yummy. Keep your eye out for incredible deals there as well. They had a deal on their fresh cookies or brownies, buy 2 get 4 free. They always have a coupon in their flyer for butter and eggs so I've not had to pay full price for either since going there. Their pet section is smaller than stop and shops so I still go there when I need pet food ans Cat litter. Great place

Nice staff here, always friendly. Shells are usually well stocked and there's everything I need there. They have two of the best pharmacists in three states - Donna and Heidi. They don't just dispense medications they keep an eye on your overall pharmacy profile. This is the only grocery store where I will shop!

Very clean and organizedTOPS HISTORY & HERITAGEThe story of Tops began in the early 1920s when Ferrante Castellani moved from a village outside of Rome, Italy to Niagara Falls, NY, where he opened his very first grocery store. Ferrante's sons, Armand and Alfred, eventually took over the business and opened two more stores under the name Great Bear Market.Armand CastellaniIn the 1950s, Armand met Thomas Buscaglia, owner of T.A. Buscaglia Equipment Company. He asked Armand to partner with him and Armand agreed to join Thomas in a joint venture, Niagara Frontier Services. At that time, Savino Nanula was also a key member of their team.Armand had great passion for food, people and his community. He was also a visionary, experimenting with ideas that were quite advanced for that time. Excited by the growth of modern day "supermarkets", Castellani and Buscaglia partnered with a group of independent Bells store owners, including Alfonse and Leonard DiMino, among others who joined them as key partners in their early and expanding retail grocery enterprise.Tops breaking ground in 1962 for their first truly modern supermarket. In 1962, the group opened its first true modern supermarket, a 25,000 square-foot store on Portage Road in Niagara Falls, NY. That same year, Alfonse DiMino suggested the name Tops and the team chose that name because they were determined to give customers the best shopping experience possible. In the lingo of the 60s, that meant it was 'tops'.The 1970s saw Tops, under the leadership of Armand Castellani and Savino Nanula, continue to grow in Western New York and thrive where competitors struggled. By the mid-70s, the company had expanded into the Rochester area. Store growth continued throughout the next decade and during this time, Tops opened its first Pennsylvania location in Bradford, PA.1991 was a pivotal year when Tops was acquired by Ahold, a major international food retail conglomerate based in the Netherlands. In 2001, Tops formed an alliance with Giant Food stores, a fellow Ahold company, based in Carlisle, PA. That structure remained in place until 2007 when Ahold announced that they would sell Tops Markets to Morgan Stanley Private Equity. In the fall of 2007, then president and CEO Frank Curci, led the deal that returned Tops Markets back to local operation. In 2010, Tops acquired The Penn Traffic Company, a deal which resulted in bringing 64 new stores into its family. In July 2012, Tops announced its purchase of 21 Grand Union Family Markets stores. One of the first Tops store locations.Tops operates supermarkets & fuel stations in New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont. In November 2013, six members of Tops' executive team, led by Chairman and CEO Frank Curci, purchased the company from Morgan Stanley Private Equity, returning it back to complete local ownership. In February 8, 2021 Tops Markets and Price Chopper/Market 32 announced that they entered into a definitive merger agreement that creates a powerful alliance between the two storied independent supermarket chains, as it nearly doubles their collective Northeastern footprint. This transaction unites two iconic New York based supermarket chains with deep ties to their local communities and shared commitments to service, savings and convenience. With increased scale across their almost perfectly contiguous footprints, the merged companies are expected to be better positioned to compete and offer even more value and outstanding services to their customers across the Northeast. My previous experience with Tops was anything but good. But that was the one that used to be in Wappingers. I was so disappointed I refused to go back to another Tops. Finally I thought I'd give it a shot again. This store was clean and the employees were pleasant. I still will avoid certain products....like the store brand dairy and meats....but that's because I had such a terrible past experience with them. I just don't want to waste money on substandard items. But I did find some reasons to come back. Some decent sale prices on pantry goods and a clean store.

Though I still miss Hannaford. Tops has merit of its own. Lots of gluten free selections, good meats and organic produce. LOVE THE FRESH POTTED HERBS!. The Last Chance /Sales area near the eggs and the discount rack are awesome. Getting a better variety of frozen food options. The floral department is nice as well!

The store is always busy. But they have most of what I'm looking for. Just want to give props to the cashier named Justin. He's the only one I've seen disinfect the conveyor belt in between customers. And he was very polite.

I'm a commercial frozen dessert producer, so I use a food distributor for ingredients. Tops has better prices than my wholesaler!! Pure cane sugar is almost half the price at Tops. Brown sugar is 30% cheaper at Tops. Frozen concentrated orange juice is 20% cheaper. And I don't need a minimum order, and its close to home and I can go there anytime. Oh yeah, I don't have a memember card- so they Store Card me to make sure I get the discount!!! GO TOPS!

Found some tasty items that other stores don't carrry. i.e..Calfia's Myer Lemonade and Ginger Limeade. These are tart...great for mixed drinks. In addition...iced coffee in 40 ounce container. My favourite by Starbucks....Cold Brew with Dark Chocolate and OatMilk.Prepared Hot Food...10 thumbs up for Fried Chicken. Enough for now.

This place is a joke. I went there today. I was in the meat section and found a package of meat with mold all over it. I brought it to the front desk and the manager I talked to (Dawn E.) told me to bring it back to the deli manager. (They are the idiots that put it out in the first place. She didn't say sorry or offer a solution to the problem. And when I brought the meat back to the deli, the guy I gave it to acted very relaxed about it. Like it wasn't a big deal. Tops put out tainted meat and it's not a big deal? I could not believe they would put something like that out for customers to handle. And it's not like they didn't see it. The meat was sitting right in front, with the mold staring me right in my face. And what makes it even worse is it has a big sticker on it stating FRESHNESS GUARANTEED. They must have been talking about fresh mold. Sad excuse for employees.

Flashfoods were there and refrigerated. Prices were high but not for NY. Some good deals made it worth the trip.

These people work very hard to keep their place of business very clean and very neat. The prices aren't the cheapest but it is the middle of Dutchess County. And everything they sell is great never had a problem

I like tops. I liked Hannaford more but they're not far off. Staff is friendly and they have good prices and deals. Plenty of registers are always open and they have a big self check out which makes picking up a couple items much easier after work.
