Service is consistent, but on trash day cans are consistently knocked on their sides, strewn all over the place. One week the mailbox was knocked over, post broken in two. // UPDATE: Once I posted here I was contacted by customer service and they addressed the issues, even following up with a few phone calls. It is a pity it takes a public post to get their attention, but props to WM for responding to complaints and making things right. I am perfectly satisfied with my service currently.

I decided to terminate my business with the company not because of the pick up workers, they did their job with no issues but, because after many years of being a customer with automatic payments they continued to increase the payment ridiculously. The current rate is $50.00 per month yet they just increased my rate to $253.00. I called and was told because I have been a customer for many years. I then decided It was time to cancel my account. I understand prices go up but not like this and where is the loyalty to the customers who’ve maintained service with no delays in payment. I was also told I’d have to pay to get the bin picked up yet the web site states they do not charge for bin pick up.

The service is too expensive. I wish that I could find a cheaper alternative, maybe a dumpster location. Another caveat, if you signed up for the automatic payment to pay your invoice, WM sends no email to inform customers of the upcoming withdrawal from their bank account. I advise customers to log in their WM account, to find out when the invoice is due. WM, however, would send an email stating that your payment went through. Other than that, the service is good, VM picks up trash and recycling on time. Customers receive emails or text alerts if there's a change in pick up schedule due to holidays, storms, etc.

After 20 years of service, I attempted to cancel my account with Waste Management. Over the years, the cost for waste removal increased and that seemed typical. However, I contacted a local waste removal company and discovered that I was paying double at WM. That was shocking so I called to terminate services. The employee, Quintella, explained that WM would keep my 320 dollars because I was unable to cancel service within the three month cycle of billing.Not only would WM steal three months of fees even after canceling, it was explained that there was a termination fee as well. I asked to speak to an administrator and was told one would contact me back because that is their policy! It’s been two days and no one from the company has reached out to me.If you are selecting a new waste removal company stay away from Waste Management. If you have Waste Management, shop around and see if you too are over paying for services. Keep in mind this business does not respect loyal customers.

Canceled service, but was immediately offered a discount to not cancel. So that basically says they don’t need to charge as much as they do.$75.00 dollars for them to get their containers after canceling, which they will do whenever they feel like, regardless of what they tell you.

NOT on time!!!! Do NOT get their services. Employees are very unprofessional on the phone and only one employee works per day so there for if they miss your pick up you will have to wait entire week for them to come and pick it up! They hung up on me more than once! I have been a client Since august and right now is October they have missed 3 pick ups and I had to wait full two weeks for them to come and get it… they have missed recycling pick up all 3 times and won’t pick up my recycling for almost a month each time because it’s every other week! Terrible terrible business owners! I usually don’t leave reviews but I had to for this one! Do not get their services. I just switched over to county waste and they are amazing, asked me to leave garbage in the bags and they will come and get it!

Company does not follow there own schedule given and does not communicate to you that the schedule has changed. When I signed up they rescheduled my delivery of trash cans 4 times without informing me so I sat on garbage for 3 weeks

WM went from being one of the best-in-class service providers to the worst, by completely removing their customer service, making them impossible to work with. Before last year, the staff answering calls and emails were prompt, friendly, and effective. Now, emails and calls are not answered at all. The website has no contact options. Customers have no ability to speak to anyone about their needs, issues, or requests at all. I don't know what is going on in the world of waste management, but whatever it is must be pretty bad. I do not recommend choosing them for waste removal or anything else. Huge fail. Thumbs down. The worst.Service: Trash removal & disposal

Not great! I've only gotten one Recycle pickup a month for the last six months. Lots of excess sitting on my porch now. What can I do with the excess????? I was picked up on 6/28/2023 with no schedule posted on the web site. Then my schedule was changed to 7/5/2023 & 7/19/2023. This is the seventh month in a row that the schedule has been changed. Pick a schedule & stick with it. I wasn't picked up on 7/5/2023 or 7/6/2023 due to the holiday. Please get your schedule & pickups in sync. I'm paying for pickup every other week, not once a month. Ok but not thrilled with service overall. They miss the actual pick up date quite often, last week by two days. So This week there are only 5 days in between collections. there are at least 5 other companies operating in the neighborhood but I'm not sure of their performance? I've mentioned this before, and I'm going to mention it again -- when I put my garbage container and my recycling container out the night before my pickup day, I always make sure they are ON MY DRIVEWAY, not on the street. When your truck is done emptying them they are rarely put back where I placed them. Instead they are often left at least a foot (or two) further out in the road, where I see my neighbors having to swing their cars out of the lane to avoid hitting them! I don't understand -- if the mechanical arm can reach out and grab them where I put them, why can't it put them back in the same place on my driveway??

I’m sure the drivers are nice but expensive, unreliable (comes at different times), less pickups, non existent customer service. I’d go with a local cheaper, more personal, communicative experience. It was even challenging to get the bins picked up after canceling 7 weeks ago.I’ve loved my new service. Cheaper, reliable, personal. Starts with First word L and second word Mela.

I wish I checked these reviews in the first instance. To reiterate what everyone else has reported: I paid $180 and they just missed collection from my bins, 4 times. I've spent more time on the phone with their customer service department than it takes to roll my bins to the transfer station!! They miss the rescheduled pick ups every time too...Even calling to cancel the service and get the cans picked up has failed. I truly cannot express my dissatisfaction enough. Driver saw my trash can on the street, drove right past it without picking it up, and marked it as not on the street. I tried to use the online chat system to get help, and WM disconnected me after saying they couldn't find my account. They change the day and time of pickup on a whim. They don't alert changes of pickup other than known holidays in a timely fashion. Debris left by animal incursions into the garbage are left behind.Service: House & garage cleanouts

Doesn’t pick up trash every week, leaves bins laying in the street when they did empty them. Charged me twice on several different occasions with their broken auto billing system. If you cancel, they keep your money and don’t give prorated refunds. Also when you cancel they charge $75 plus fees ($107 total) to pick up the bins. And their customer service is basically nonexistent. It took me 3 days to hear back and cancel. Their customer service rep lied to me and said they would take 30% off the $75 fee and no surprise, there was no discount. Do yourself a favor and skip this horrible company who doesn’t care about their customers (ex. Google Heigl, et al. v. Waste Management of New York, LLC). Instead go with a local garbage pickup company, like I did and now my monthly bill is 30% cheaper and the service (pickup and customer service) is lightyears better!

I’ve been a customer for about 7 years. This year will be my last!At the beginning the trash & recycling service was every week and the drivers could get out of the truck and make any needed adjustments.Now the recycling is every two weeks. Did the price come down as a result? Nope!Do they give me a problem about how much recycling there? Every so often yes. Their new plan is to charge me for extra containers once my yearly subscription ends.The drivers can’t get out of the truck. (Terrible company policy!) So when there is an issue either I have trash debris spread out over my lawn or they simply don’t take it.My pick up day is Tuesday. The trucks have always come between 8:30am and 1:00pm...The last two weeks we have had snow storms on Tuesdays... First week they sent an email saying they are coming on Wednesday. That’s fine.The second week they sent the trucks out between 3:30am and 4:30am with out saying a word!I drove around my neighborhood and most were in the situation I was in, they put their trash out in the morning and missed the truck. So now we all will have 2 weeks of garage stacking up and 4 weeks of recycling. Thanks WM!I have several local disposal companies that drive by my house, one that features a pair of guys who get out of the truck each time... The most expensive option in the area and they miss my house more times than they make it. I've spent more time on the phone with their customer service department than is even imaginable. They miss the rescheduled pick ups every time too..Even calling to cancel the service and get the cans picked up has failed twice. I truly cannot express my dissatisfaction enough. Avoid using them at all costs. I called county waste and had new cans the next day for half the price, and they have not missed a pick up yet and even call to remind you about pick up.

I attempted numerous times to cancel my account due to being overcharged continuously. I was never able to speak to anyone. The one person I finally reached was in CA. She said she would cancel my account and I would not be charged late charges. I was charged late charges and an additional two months billing for services I did not receive. Worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. They are a complete scam.
