I’ve had several of my pets spayed and neutered at their clinic. They are extremely knowledgeable and thorough. I would highly recommend not only to ALWAYS SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS BUT ALSO ULSTER COUNTY SPCA CLINIC.

Found a badly injured kitty on the side of the road on a weekend when vets were all closed- couldn’t find the owner , brought him to the ASPCA. They were so kind, took him in and he immediately seemed better in their care. I am so grateful for this organization of generous people.

Wonderful people here, carrying attentive and very much interested in what's going on in the community. The complete opposite of the Dutchess County SPCA which seems to be falling apart at the seams. I'm no expert but it seems like the director of the DC SPCA oughta go.

I brought my dachshund Hershel here to get neutered- having 5 other dogs, I have never used the Ulster County SPCA and wish I had! Not only is it super affordable, the staff, namely Clarissa (Clarice? Honestly- I forget!) was so super nice and friendly and pleasant and explained everything! I felt totally at ease dropping him off and left with zero questions. He was neutered, microchipped, tested for heart worm, had his ears cleaned and his nails trimmed for $230. How can you beat that!! I was quoted over $700 at two other vets! I highly recommend this establishment and I want to thank the entire staff for a great experience.

We had been looking for over a year before we stopped in Ulster County SPCA on a whim while in town. It was the 4th of July & the shelter was officially closed. Even so, they interviewed & approved us then took their time introducing us to their dogs. We couldn’t be happier with our dude Po’ Boy & I think about how grateful I am to them everyday! 10/10 recommend. based.

Went to this shelter to get a buddy for my resident cat That’s one years old .when I got to the shelter. The cat that we had picked out to apply for was sick and had a special diet. We did not know that when we got there ,cause it was not in his description online .so we were presented with a kitten. The workers were seemingly kind and nice to us, and assured us that our kitten was in good health and had all her shots and was fixed. She is 4 months old.So we ended up getting her .Two days into being home she started sneezing really badly and I knew we had an appointment for her shots the following weekend so we brought her back to get shots and they sent us home with two different supplements for her.Fast forward to two more days later ,my resident cat is now sneezing and having trouble breathing who has never been sick!!I’ve reached out to multiple veterinarians in the area, and almost all of them told me that the Aspca is not a good place to get animals! That they adopt out sick animals and don’t treat them right!Whether this is true or not, I’m not sure, but I can tell you that my kitten was sick and my resident cat is now very sick! And I spent $150 on the kitten just to adopt her smh!To have a healthy one !!The worst part of it all is they don’t take responsibility for giving out a sick animal!! It’s in the contract you sign.I’m not gonna say any names, but someone Who claims have worked there and has experience there also told me that things they gave my kitten to get her better were not actual medication. It was just some type of Asian supplement and lysine supplement.🤦🏼‍♀️I really dislike the false façade they put on! And I would not recommend them at this point unless you’re ok with treating a sick animal. The Kingston vet emergency clinic wanted $400 just to look at my cat and treat him. Luckily I’m going to be able to get my cat into Petco tomorrow and hope he’ll be OK.

Adopted 2 felines there before! I would visit just to interact with some of them afterwards. Today I was told that was no longer allowed. It "stresses" the cats out. What stresses me out is that the staff there forgot about how interaction with potential adoptees works, blocking for no real reason, and then eventually some go to the kill list.

Always a big help and I often donate back, what my cats won't use or eat so it's a win win for both of us 😉

I've adopted all of my animals here for the past few years! & recently I took in a stray cat that I needed to foster for a few days then bring to the shelter.I had no supplies or knowledge on how to care for this stray cat. Masoomah and Sav were able to assist me with everything and made fostering this cat so much more easier then it would have been. They were able to answer all of my questions, schedule me in as soon as possible and provide excellent advice on how to care for the cat in the meantime. I appreciate everything they do and the hard work they do for the animals should be recognized!

We found a feral cat in the backyard. We took it there and they fixed it and they took care of it they did not charge us which was really nice. The cats home doing well. Great place. Thank you

Adopted out a cat out with calicivirus, which spread to other animals in the home. They Will not take any responsibility for the danger, but also the high cost of treatment for multiple animals. High possibility that every cat there will have this virus which will require lifelong medical treatment as well.

I adopted a kitten here recently and didn't realize how great this place was until I started looking for a 2nd kitten and saw the conditions some of the other shelters. Staff are rude, unresponsiveness, and the animals seem not as well treated.. Ulster County SPCA has it together (Savannah was great!) and you can tell they truly love their animals. I definitely hit the cat lotto with this one.

These people are the most loving and caring people I've ever met. Not only can you find your furever friend here you make family with the staff that work endlessly on caring for the animals. I'd highly suggest stopping in.

Absolutely amazing staff. They do same day adoptions, which is awesome, so we were able to take our adorable Louie home after she stole our hearts

I very rarely post reviews, but I had to come on here and put into writing the amount of appreciation I have for the work being done by the staff and volunteers at the SPCA.Antonia was so helpful and knowledgeable throughout our adoption meeting. It was obvious to me and my parents that she truly takes pride in the work she does and contributes invaluable expertise to guide adoptees and making sure you find a good fit.No pup wants to end up abandoned by their owners at a shelter, but the staff at the Ulster SPCA goes above and beyond to ensure they are properly cared for and matched well with adoptees.Apollo is on cloud 9 in his new home and we are all so in love with him, and bringing him home would not have been possible if not for this amazing organization. Thank you all so much!

A very efficient organization. I walked in & the place was neat, clean & disinfected. Associates are professional, very friendly & quick to help. I will continue to support this ASPCA with donations of useful comforters, quilts, sheets, towels, etc. for bedding & bathing.(They don't want old pillows - but all things for pets are very welcome.)

I am extremely happy every cat I applied for was already adopted. I was very disappointed that every time I called nobody ever called meback. After 3 months of leaving random messages I gave up. I now have a new addition to our loving family from somewhere else.

I found a stray cat in my garage and I couldn't foster due to my husband being allergic to cats. I fed and gave shelter until I could get to the SPCA. I brought the cat in and dealt with a woman named Logan. I filled the form out and noticed the donation spot at the end (which they made sure to also tell me on the phone that they accept monetary donations). I unfortunately couldn't donate at the time but donated what cat food I had left. When Logan read over the page she acted surprised that I wasn't donating money and gave me an instant snarky attitude. She told me to go wait in my car and she'll be out with my carrier. Very unprofessional once she realized I wasn't donating money.

Great and friendly staff, they take all types of donations for animals (3 large bin's outside by the adoption area). I donated a large bag of dry cat food today, while my cat Precious was being fixed.

The shelter was clean and the staff very present. All the animals seemed well cared for. They helped us find the best cat for us, making sure we knew enough about the cats we met that we could make an educated decision.

Well I go to the SPCA , on Wiedy road , in Kingston N.Y. to Adopt a dog , a woman ther3 tells me I have to fill out an application , then they will call me to make an appointment .Oh , and I gotta wear a mask too .I told her , I am not going through all that , I will just go to a back yard breeder , a lot less hassle .Screw that place , I will never go there again , and I will never donat to that place again either .Seems they would rather kill their dogs than to adopt them out 😡😡

They took care of all my kitties. Gave them collars and shots and chips for around 200 dollars. It's great. You should get an appointment if you can.

Very disappointed, to know that a place that is believed to offer so much happiness and joy is managed or directed by someone so cold and unprofessional. My husband called prior to visiting the facilities, the receptionist was a sweet charming girl that treated us very cordially and well mannered however I wish that would have been the case for everything else. While waiting for over an hour to speak with the director (Gina Carbonari) that was “extremely busy” yet never left her office that was only a few steps away from the reception area. Not once did this lady come out to even acknowledge that someone was there waiting on her, yet after all that wait she steps out of her office did not even look at my husband and I, walked right by us and said nothing to us as if we were flies on the wall. Her mannerisms, the way she handled herself was far from professional. It makes me wonder how in reality the animals get treated with someone like that running the facilities also I’d hate to believe that we were treated in such manner cause of the color of our skin. The reason for my visit was only to offer volunteer services to a nonprofit organization thinking it would be a happy experience for me, but after receiving such treatment from the top I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

I went there to have my kitten spayed. They were very professional. They have full details on what would be done. How the process would go and the healing processed. A wonderful price that included spraying, rabies, distemper, nail clipping, flea treatment and tapeworm check. Anything that would possibly cost extra they let you know beforehand with an estimate of price.I would highly recommend going here. They do wonderful thing for not only for our community but for our animal community as well!!
