Delicious food and lovely owners! 😃 Limited indoor seating and a few outdoor spots 👍🏼The breakfast sandwich changed my life, the mushrooms on it are a fantastic addition. Beignets are fluffy & amazing 😍 French fries taste like McDonalds! Beyond burger is also a perfect classic.

A small charming place. Owned by a friendly married couple who went out of our way to be sure we enjoyed our experience! We are a family of 5, when we ate at Burger King to try the impossible whopper it 60 bucks for barely mediocre food. The food here is delicious and we had dessert for less than 50! I cannot praise this place enough!

Secret Vegan Cafe is the new hot spot in Kingston for all your vegan comfort food needs! (Think McDonalds minus the grease and guilt.) The owner was darling and threw us an extra order of fries on the house. It’s a cozy space with awesome food. Highly recommend heading over ASAP! (38 McEntee Street, Kingston, NY)

We had breakfast here this past weekend and everything was delicious. The beignets were our favorite, and we were very glad we got a double order off the bat! Looking forward to coming back here to try the nuggets soon!

If you're on a diet, don't go here- everything is amazing! We had the breakfast sandwich, the cheeseburger with fries, and the beignets! Everything is vegan and the owner/chef is SO friendly!Vegetarian options: Vegetarians that are used to real cheese and eggs will be SO surprised by how yummy the breakfast sandwich is! I ended up buying a second one!

Sitting outside on a lovely shaded patio on a summer’s morning with a lions mane smoothie and breakfast sandwich. Lovely food loving served by a friendly, kind lady originally from the Netherlands. I will be back to get more things from the all vegan menu as these first two things were delicious. Thank you!

Cutest vibes with solid outdoor dining spots + easy parking. The food is on point—with all the sandwiches, coffee, and BEST mushroom and beet nuggets ever. Do your mouth a favor and order double the amount of everything you want.

Maybe we came at a bad time because this place has so many other good reviews. It was definitely cute on the inside, but our breakfast sandwich tasted burnt, and the smoothie had WAY too much ginger that it was burning my throat. Coffee was decent. Smoke alarm kept going off while we were there too which was uncomfortable

Loved this place. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. My sister and I got the vegan breakfast sandwich and it was SO GOOD. Highly recommend this cute little place 🤗

April 2024, it appears it is closed. Can anyone confirm, thanks?Delicious guilt free comfort food, now that's comforting! Kim is definitely in her element with the visitors, preparing the food and describing the menu. Cute little place that's not likely a secret anymore. If we lived nearby, we'd be regulars. A short jaunt to the Roundout is another plus if you're in town to take in some leisure. Next time, will definitely be ordering that breakfast sandwich!

The sweetest staff and some really solid food, vegan or otherwise. They flip a mean burger here and, in a world that often underdeliver on fries, Secret Vegan comes through with great crispy hot fries. Their breakfast sandwich is tasty and filling. Their salad is diverse and enjoyable. I wonder if they still have this great seaweed based burger I tried there once? Beignets are a fun treat and they do a mean hot cocoa. I recommend this place!

Super cute interior and peaceful exterior. Food was very well cooked. Fries were crispy and hot. Vegan "chicken" cutlet tasted like chicken! And it was definitely better than many actual chicken sandwiches I've had. I'm not usually into vegan food but this was good!

This place was such a pleasant surprise! The food was delicious and the owner was extremely friendly. It is so nice to have a vegan restaurant in downtown Kingston. Our crew got the cheeseburgers, breakfast sandwich, and the mushroom nuggets. Everyone was very happy!

Had pancakes, cheeseburger with fries, beignets, and breakfast sandwiches. One lady behind the counter did basically everything with the help of just one other girl so understandably things took a bit longer than you'd expect but we sat outside in the shade and were patient. It really paid off, every thing was amazing and she even gave us a free iced tea and acknowledged that we had waited and wanted us to be happy. The portions can be on the small side, but they are so reasonably priced it just makes it easier to try some of everything.

HIGHLY recommend!! Not only was the food incredible, but the staff and owners were very kind and accommodating. It’s the perfect spot for a quick lunch!!PS: the mushroom/beet nuggets and breakfast sandwich were to die for (although you can’t really go wrong, every item on the menu was delicious!)

We had a fabulous meal at secret vegan Café! Tierra is a lovely hostess and chef . We highly recommend the loaded french fries the cheeseburgers the empanadas , the mushroom nuggets and the salad with blueberries. Everything was madeFresh. Our family eats vegan And we were very impressed . We will definitely return!

Day number 2 today still working out the kinks. The Cheese burger was delicious and so was the apple pie. The beignet were not ready yet. The staff was very friendly and overwhelmed by all the people who are dying for a vegan restaurant near downtown. For all the meat lovers try the burger you won't be disappointed. Be patient it's worth your time to eat good food.

Went to this place for the first time this morning. I was a little skeptical as I am not vegan but the food was incredibly good! I really like the breakfast sandwich and my daughter, who is a picky eater, really liked her kids meal which came with a toy - a pretty awesome touch!I look forward to going back soon :)

A wonderful new spot near the Roundout for vegan breakfast, lunch and desserts. I cannot rave enough about the delicious food, the sweethearts who work there, and the beauty and charm of the space. Small and very cozy, seats 10. My husband went yesterday and wanted to go back today to show me. As you can probably tell, it’s my new favorite place!

What an absolute treasure! I'm not even a vegan, but the empanada was absolutely delicious. The vibe is chill and the genuine warmth afforded to my autistic adult son was the (vegan of course) icing on the cake! (He also enjoyed the empanada, BTW)

I came to this cafe because my brother is vegan, I am not. Although I am not vegan, the food was delicious!!! The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this cafe.Vegetarian options: Everything on the menu is vegan.Kid-friendliness: The owner has great kid options.

The secret is out. Nestled along a moutainside in Kingston, New York, Secret Vegan Cafe is a hidden gem featuring a simple yet delicious menu of traditional American fare: pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, nuggets, burgers and fries. The nuggets in particular were a treat, so much so that our party ordered not just seconds, but thirds and fourths. The staff was friendly, the ambiance relaxed and quaint, this Cafe is the perfect Sunday afternoon lunch spot following a weekend in the Catskills.

Unfortunately we didn't even eat here! 07/03/22...We walked in and I don't know if it was because we were Black/Israelite but the chick didn't even acknowledge us. Maybe she was having a bad day, overworked/underpaid🤷🏾‍♀️ NO hello, No I'll be with you shortly... The tatted up and sad individual just kept working and not making eye contact.... We left after just a couple minutes as the energy SUCKED. This could not be her business as no owner wants money walking out of the door.... if you're looking for good energy and love in your cooking... this is not the place! We see why it's a secret🤣On to the next one🙋🏾‍♀️🤗UPDATE 7/4.... U see their laugable reply. Not a fake review and clearly no look at the camera because 2 beautiful Queens, my sister and I, were ABSOLUTELY there!! BUT only for a couple mins as we didn't have time to waste, only money! Didn't see a cook just the unhappy, dark haired, tatted worker whom you should be adressing...SMH SILENCE IS COMPLIANCE IF there is another Secret Vegan Cafe in the area then excuse me but I only see one on MAPS.Google Fam... try Outdated for pancakes and great sandwiches or even better, anything off the menu from Woodstock Garden Cafe. Their was joy and love in the people and food. 🍻

I loved this little place. The chief and the owner were amazing. Food was delicious and tasted just like real meat, cheese and eggs. Some of the food is Dutch (the owner is Dutch), which gives this place a very unique feel.

Cute little cafe, with fast food, vegan style! There were healthy options, junk food options, kid options, and the owner is sweet as pie! Highly recommended for a quick veggie bite that would be approved by the whole family.
