Wonderful, new, huge vintage shop is a welcome addition to midtown Kingston! A wide variety of vendors in a spacious, yet cozy warehouse space. The vendors here offer curated collections. Some of the booth displays are truly awe-inspiring. Prices are reasonable and overall quality is fantastic. Staff is always friendly & kindly offers to hold items for you as you shop. Tons of free parking too!! Definitely worth it to shop here on a regular basis.

I love that there is a wide range of eras, prices, and styles in this vintage mall. Every time I go to Red Owl, I meander the aisles, taking in the treasures as if in a museum. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The history of this building is fascinating, once a roller skating rink, a drapery factory, and a bowling alley. I have been shopping from the owner, Cindy, for decades, from the time she owned Rosendale Wares in the 90s, to her booths at local vintage markets. She is a splendid shopkeeper, designer, community collaborator, and host.

We found such a great collection of goodies here. Dozens of well-curated and reasonably priced vendors. My husband usually just patiently trails along behind me at these types of places, but here he was excitedly pointing out all kinds of fun things! The staff were also notably welcoming and helpful. We live an hour away, but will definitely return to do more treasure hunting!

Our family is obsessed with Red Owl! The worst thing I can say about it is that we find it hard to spend under an hour (okay lets be honest, under 2) in there, because there is so much awesomeness to take in. It's one of those perfect antiques malls that have things for everyone--collectors looking for something specific and willing to pay top dollar all the way down to little kids looking for something special to spend allowance money on. My partner has found multiple beautiful, designer dresses there for incredibly reasonable prices, and I've found perfect fixtures for my shop. We love Red Owl & their staff. <3 I send people there every chance I get!

Red Owl is the epitome of what it means to be a vintage mall. There are so many reminders of all the decades of my 80 years: the clothes I once wore, the furniture I had, the utensils I once used, and the barware I threw parties with. It is as enriching as going to a museum. I make sure to go to the Red Owl every time I am in the Hudson Valley.

Impressive selection and customer service! Just found so many treasures with my sister and the folks working were incredibly helpful (and strong!). The whole team pitched in to load up our perfect new-to-us table and even gave us a moving blanket. Highly recommend and will be back!

Stopped in here to browse for a dresser with no expectations and was absolutely delighted (and found the perfect dresser after months of looking). There is so much to look at, prices are reasonable, and staff couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. This was my first visit and I look forward to next time.

Red Owl is amazing! It’s really exciting to have a cool new female owned/operated antique/vintage mall in the heart of Kingston! The vendors and selection are super diverse and the prices are phenomenal! The space is well laid-out, spacious, and easy to navigate. I’ll definitely be back and have already recommended it to my friends + family!

Beautifully curated assortment of vintage clothing and house goods. We are definitely coming back! The art is incredible too. We got ourselves a little something from Spirit Keeper Studio.

Amazing selection, think 70s/80s flea market with items that will bring you back and make you nostalgic. You could spend hours here and still not see everything on display. The owner and staff were wonderful and went above and beyond to help us load a large item into our car. Would recommend especially if in search of unique furniture that is in incredible condition. Better than any similar store in the area by a mile.

Red Owl Collective is definitely the most fun place to shop in Kingston! A great selection of mid-century furniture, home decor, clothing, art, toys, handmade wares and more. We're planning on returning for holiday gift shopping. It's nice to have a place to visit many of our favorite local companies full time. And the shop keepers were so helpful and kind when I visited. We will be back!

I had an experience as well where I felt targeted by the staff and in reading the other views it seems like there is a pattern of profiling customers. Your flippant responses to any less-than-favorable reviews are really off-putting. Even if this is your hometown and you call yourself a "collective", your business still caters to wealthy transplants who've done nothing but raise living costs and push locals out of our community. Why do we need a vintage monolith in a low-income neighborhood when there are already so many thrift and antique shops in the area?

Everything about this place is beautiful! So many treasures, from fascinating vintage books, clothing and furniture to new handmade items made by local craftspeople. The staff are friendly, the space is well lit, uncluttered and you even get to hear amazing music while you shop! I went on a rainy Saturday afternoon and it felt like the sun was shining the whole time we were inside Red Owl! Highly recommended❤️

They had a Micheal Jackson doll for 11 dollars with the price tag on it, then refused to sell me it at that price. Said they had to call the vendor and when the vendor didn’t answer they wouldn’t sell it to me. Considering it’s only worth 35 online I think they could have followed their word and sold it for the price as listed. Another over priced thrift store, they got a 2023 MacBook at the register but they can’t afford to sell things as listed. Fool. You guys are what’s wrong with the thrifting world.

Really unwelcoming place. Walked in with a friend to check it out on a winter day and everything in there was incredibly overpriced - a dented plastic globe for around $90 for example. On our way out we were stared down by the clerk, who followed us to the door and took down our license plate number. We had our hands in our pockets the entire time except to take a dumdum lolipop from where they were offered.Awful example of gentrification in a beautiful town. I will not support this place and I suggest you don't either.RESPONSE TO THE REPLY:That's ridiculous. We were masked because it's a PANDEMIC and we don't want COVID. Hood on because it was a cold and SNOWY DAY. We made a beeline for the door because there was strong incense burning and giving me a headache, even with the mask on.Please don't profile people like that, it's really weird and offputting.

So excited about this addition to the neighborhood! The building has been unused for a few years at least and I was curious if anyone was going to find a creative way to support local/independent/smaller scale businesses AND use the existing structure. I stopped by the opening and saw a nice mix of people and vendors… went back only a few weeks later and saw probably double the vendors and great variety of merch at different price points. Really grateful for this new spot in town and the people behind it!

I love Red Owl and am so grateful to have a beautiful antique mall two blocks from myhouse. Friends of mine sell there and I think they’re doing a great job. It takes a lot ofwork to resell (more than people know) including cleaning and reviving items that have lived many lives before ending up at Red Owl. I appreciate the work the vendors are doing to make each booth so unique and to fill them with gems.

A unique and diverse shopping experience! The proprietor and staff are very helpful and friendly. Well laid out, not overcrowded or sloppy as some antique malls can be. Great selection of vintage and antique items at all price points-There’s definitely something for everyone!!

A wonder-filled space where one can spend hours perusing the isles, each decked with vintage and design pieces for every taste and every budget. The staff is very helpful, though not intrusive. Each time I have visited, the booths have had different items in rotation, each time interesting and well presented. I will be returning often!

Great place, lots of unique treasures. Way better than the curtain factory it once was. Go spend all of your money there. Bills aren't cool, so spend the rent money on cool stuff.

Been here twice and love the variety! 80’s child here, so walking around took me back. The number of venders keeps increasing, so I’m excited to see this place thrive. Thank you Lydia for the awesome whale pillow!
