Great store! Great vibes!!Every dog I've seen coming out of their salon looks freakin Gorgeous!!I'm bringing my in-laws dog here next time for sure!!!A big, often smelly - yet absolutely lovely Collie. The folks here seem like they can handle larger dogs from what I've seen.Actual customer service was offered throughout my visit, by seriously knowledgeable employees!They're pet parents themselves, so they were very helpful with honest recommendations!Can I just say......GREAT food selection base for seemingly any budget!The store is not overwhelming or very large for the variety of items they happen to sell either.You really feel like you have the space needed to browse and read the different ingredients carefully and such. I'm just trying to be a responsible owner like everybody else is... and that often means reading the entire list of tiny printed ingredients!! šŸ¤“ Pet's allergies are a pain I tell ya! LolGreat accessories for upcoming Summer holidays too! Very cute stuff!!....Can't wait to see what comes in for Halloween!! šŸŽƒ***Oh, and since I've been here a few times.....DON'T miss out on what goes on Clearance and discounted short sales!! Some really fair deals when available!!**********Currently, this location also *Price Matches* any other brick and mortar pet supply store!! I had questions which were answered by the store representatives. Typically you'll get "I don't know" or a lack of interest. One thing that bothered me was a bone a had bought which was chicken flavored and useful for teething puppies. After re-reading the packaging...I realized that the puppy should not ingest big pieces as that could be toxic ! Why would this be sold in the first place ???

This store is very welcoming and safe for dogs! I havenā€™t had any good experiences until I met Percy. Sheā€™s absolutely amazing at her job and Fluffy loves her! I highly recommend her as she is thorough and cares about her customers. Thank you Percy for putting a smile on Fluffyā€™s face!!

Donovan was amazing. The whole staff was. I have a big German Shepherd mix that can intimidate most, but not this crew. They were so sweet, loving and Donovan got right down on the ground to say hello to my dog. She was so clean and happy when i picked her up. Highly recommended.

July 17, 2018 two 6-month-old Schnoodles were taken to be groomed at the Kingston, NY location. The dogs were bathed and brushed prior to their appointments.This was their first grooming appointment and a quick discussion about the type of cut preferred took place. A PetSmart associate pulled up pictures of groomed Schnoodles to help get a better understanding of what was wanted. One of the pictures specifically featured a dog shaved down with little to no hair left. The associate was informed that this cut was not good but rather one of the more traditional cuts from one of the other pictures was needed.Before leaving, a consent form was signed acknowledging that if some of the hair was matted that it would need to be shaved.The individual picking up the dogs was not the owner. Upon her arrival, the groomer, Marissa, informed the women that the dogs needed to be completely shaved down because they were simply too matted to groom any other way. The skin of the dog which was exposed was pink underneath and raw to the touch.Later that day when the owner arrived home, she called PetSmart in Kingston to speak with a manager about the condition the dogs were in. The manager, Steve, said he had seen the dogs and was in fact surprised by how far they had been shaved. However, he said because a consent form was signed that the groomer had the right to groom the dogs how she saw fit. The response by the owner was one that if in fact parts of the dog were matted, that shaving them would have been fine. However, this shave was excessive and extreme. So extreme that she was warned that the dogs run the risk of a sunburn if they are outside in the sun for too long.Steve, the manager, was rude, unapologetic and unprofessional.The owner asked Steve why she wasnā€™t called before the extreme action of shaving the dogs down happened. She informed Steve that if she had known this type of service was going to take place, she never would have consented to this groom. The owner asked Steve how he was going to make the situation right and he replied, ā€œWhat do you want me to do about it?ā€.We have been loyal PetSmart customers for many, many years and have spent thousands of dollars on grooming and pet supplies for all our animals.This unfortunate situation should never have happened if only a quick phone call before the excessive and extreme shave was performed.We are very disappointed with PetSmart, the groomer Marissa, and the manager Steve.We look forward to hearing a follow up from PetSmart shortly and pictures of the dogs from that day are available.

Although I tend to avoid the "corporate pet scene" but because of Covid-19, my usual nail snipper was unavailable. I went to PetSmart cold (no appointment) but was efficiently, professionally, and warmly accommodated and Buster was in and out while I waited (safely away from the grooming area). Bring your vaccination papers and leave a tip, these young people are polite, gentle, careful, caring, and deserve extra!

Grooming is hit or miss here. 4+ hours and $100+ later, Iā€™ll need to bring my dog somewhere else to have it corrected. Right now, he has short hair all around and long hair on his bottom, tail, and face which looks unkempt. They said my dog barked the entire time but I was in the back of store for the last hour waiting and didnā€™t hear him once. Iā€™m sure itā€™s a challenging job to be a groomer and Iā€™m also sure my pup isnā€™t perfect but it doesnā€™t feel like they are staffed properly to meet capacity, and if they were properly resourced, the hair cuts would take less than 4 hours and probably turn out significantly better.

Every animal iv gotten here (reptiles) has had either malnurishment or parasites, as well as one blind animal. Multiple people come to me asking me what a wrong with their bearded dragon, just to find that petsmart employees told them they only need one light, or that sand is okay for them to be on, or meal worms are a good diet. I'm sick of seeing animals die because people trust their employees for correct information. I'm not a big fan of petco either but id much rather give them my business than petsmart. If emailed them about this as well, I hope things change, reptiles aren't as easy to care for as they think. Can't even keep a crested gecko from getting stuck behind wallpaper, or give them a good diet, extremely unfortunate. Sincerely a reptile lover. This is my gecko when I first got her, it took her while but she's now healthy.

Called to schedule and appointment to bring my cat to the groomer as my normal groomer closed her shop. The young man assisting me answered my questions. I was very concerned though to hear that if I scheduled time off work to bring my cat to Kingston for grooming (this is the only location the reservation center said did cats, which is very disappointing) that ā€œshould she hiss once or show any signs of stress, they would cancel the appointment). First I cut my cats nails faithfully prior to every appointment to ensure safety, secondly I understand the rabies vaccination status, but telling me that if my cat was stressed out bringing her to a completely unfamiliar place to drop her off that she couldnā€™t be stressed or you would cancel on the spot??? I even repeated what he said back to him to make sure I heard him clearly. Thatā€™s completely unreasonable and to than inform me that I could always take her to the vet to have her sedated and groomed?!. I informed the associate that my cat was completely docile and went to the groomers all the time. For your employees to tell a potential customer to go pay $100-200 dollars to sedate a calm cat as they donā€™t even want to deal with a slightly uncomfortable animal is flabbergasting. Cause every single Dog you get is calm? Give me a break. Iā€™ll take my ongoing business elsewhere. Need to step it up PetSmart.

My girlfriend and I went to get a couple hamsters and had a wonderful experience!! Great customer service! The employee knew his stuff and was able to recommend the right amount of hamsters and even which two got along best together. There were plenty of options for the cage as well. We are tremendously happy!!!

We love the staff and selection. We also love the Heart of the Catskills rescue, who runs the pet adoption center in the back. We've rescued 5 cats so far over the last 2 years. They know us back there! We have a soft spot for black cats and senior cats who done get the placement they deserve. They all deserve a home and love. Don't overlook the older ones they have so much love to give still, and black cats aren't unlucky they are the most loveable cat you will be lucky enough to have in your life!

My local petsmart usually always has all of my petā€™s needs whether it be food or treats and there are always great promotions and new items coming in and I love this store and have been a customer for many years and I love the value, quality, and the items I find for my cat here
